Our server was excellent! She definitely catered to our huge party. She was kind and so very helpful. Unfortunately our food was under seasoned; bland and even the mac and cheese needed salt and pepper.

The service was good, but the food was exceptionally bland. The biscuits had an odd chemical-like taste and were inedible. The sausage, pepper, and cheese omelettes had little to no seasoning (even the sausage!) and couldn’t be salvaged, even with salt. On a bright note, the manager was very kind and open to the feedback and insisted on comp’ing us those dishes. Regardless, it seems there is very little reason to return.

KAU Greensboro – A Shaky 3 out of 5 Took my wife to KAU for date night. First challenge: finding it. It’s tucked behind a mill building, and the entrance isn’t immediately obvious—could use slightly better signage. First door we tried led into their butcher shop (nice, but not dinner), so we had a brief moment of “are we in the right place?” before regrouping. Inside, the ambience is genuinely nice—open layout, warm lighting, good energy. Unfortunately, we were seated at a tiny table crammed into a corner and blocked by another, making it nearly impossible to sit down without a polite “excuse me” and a bit of yoga. Staffing felt oddly top-heavy. Plenty of folks clustered around the host stand, not many actually serving tables. Our waitress was friendly, but service was a bit slow and a bit disjointed—like everyone was new or working their first shift together. Food was mixed. My shrimp cocktail was fine, though awkwardly presented in a tall glass-on-plate combo that looked one bump away from disaster, cocktail sauce C-. My wife’s salad looked suspiciously pre-packaged, but her lamb chops were excellent—local and perfectly cooked. My pork chop was also great. So the kitchen clearly can deliver when it counts. Drinks menu looked good, but we stuck to water and a mocktail. No alcohol, no dessert, and the bill still came to $110 before tip. For that price, expectations go up—and a bagged salad doesn’t cut it. Final verdict: 3 stars, but just barely. The mains were solid, and the atmosphere has promise, but the service, pricing, and small details missed the mark. We both agreed: we won’t be going back. Not bad, just not worth the repeat.

Food was strong seasoned and upset the stomach of almost all of us. It wasn’t like this before. This is the first time that this happened.

Food tasted great, came out luke warm. Drinks were good. Staff kept explaining they were short staffed which was unfortunate due to being Graduation, Prom and Mother’s Day weekend. Hope they turn it around.

The food was amazing, there were 8 of us and no one had a compliant about their meal choice! My mother said they were the best short ribs she has ever had and she is 86! Service was a little slow but there were several large tables seated at the same time so we were understanding. Highly recommend!!
