   Honestly really underwhelming!! We dine out pretty often and were here celebrating my mom's birthday. It is a small, family owned restaurant and we felt lucky to get a reservation. My husband and step-dad ordered wine (both of them love wine), and they both weren't crazy about their selections. You'd think for a place with a book full of wines, they would want you to taste and love your pick! As for the food, we ordered the burrata and eggplant and pork belly for apps. The burrata had no taste. The pork belly was fine, but was mostly fat with no meat. I ordered short rib for dinner. I have gotten short rib for the 5th time eating out this month (I have been in the mood for it lately!) and it truly fell short of my expectations. It wasn't that tender and didn't have the sauce that it usually does. I can appreciate not being rushed during dinner, but the service was awfully slow. Almost like she had completely forgotten about us a couple of times. While we appreciate the effort here, we were a bit embarrassed by our experience taking my parents out, and wouldn't recommend this place. If you are looking for a true fine dining experience, the following night, we went to Stirrups and spent $500 on our dinner between the 4 of us. We all agreed we would do it again because the service AND the food were on point!!!!

   One meal was good, the other one was no good, even after they redid it. Prices are through the roof, and there are just too many other restaurants with much better value. It was the second time we had been there but will not return.

   This was our first time visiting this restaurant and I must say it was very disappointing. First we ordered the lobster flatbread, but unfortunately, the cheese used was so overpowering you couldn't taste the lobster at all. (The start of the dish should should shine.) The sea bass was fresh, but the the way it was prepared could have been much better. The lobster ravioli also fell flat by not showcasing the lobster and its flavor. The short rib dish was well balanced, but it wasn't a home run either. Service was the best part of the night, but it wasn't representative of the caliber of restaurant based on price point.

    First time to Katya’s to celebrate our 54 year anniversary. Over the top amazing. Atmosphere was definitely romantic. Staff showed utmost professionalism. Everyone was warm and inviting. Soft keyboard player and guitarist in the background. Then the food - absolutely Michelin star worthy. We’re originally from Pittsburgh and used to fine dining. Katya was over the top phenomenal. Brought friends with us. We were all blown away and we’re all so ready for going back even though the drive is almost 1-1:2 hours one way. And with our appreciation for fine wines you can’t beat their encyclopedia wine list. Mind boggling impressive. Thank you Katya for a job well done. See you again soon. Cheers!

    Excellent food and wine and service. Left a note that maybe (just an idea) that for the tasting menu with wine pairings (and the wine pairings were superb!) just maybe, slightly smaller portions would be in order. The pork belly was just a little large, for me, as an appetizer. And while the wine pairings were superb, maybe a pinot noir with the pork rather than a white? But I quibble. This is the place in Ocala for fine dining experiences and a wide range of carefully chosen dishes and wine. Will try again on the a la carte menu so that I don't overdo it!

    We had a wonderful dinner last evening. The room is beautiful and romantic and perfect for special occasions. The tables are separated in such a way for complete privacy. The staff is very professional and efficient. The food was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed everything. This was our third time and it has been fabulous every time.     What a memorable night we had. The restaurant was gorgeous with soothing live music and wonderful staff and the food was delicious! We cannot wait to go back!!     My wife and I were celebrating our wedding’s anniversary. We were very pleasantly greeted and brought to our table decorated with gold heart glitter plus a Happy Anniversary card! Started with the lobster flatbread and crab cake which were both so good! Then Lamb Lollypops and Filet tips with mushrooms risotto! Not a speck left on either of our plates. Then we topped that off with caramel empinadas with gelato which was incredible. Our waitress shared the back story about our dessert. So cool! We shared a bottle of wine which was great, but the name escapes me! We loved our first experience with Katya Vineyard. The staff was phenomenal and the Chef actually came out to our table which was a great touch! I searched Ocala for the most romantic restaurant and was just so pleased with my choice!
