Food is fabulous! Service needs a little help, stay focused on customers.
We tried lots of different small plates to share and they were all delicious. Our server was excellent, very attentive. Its a bit expensive but well worth it if you want a great dining experience.
The LA and South beach locations seem to be more trendy and in demand. Brickell and Downtown have Zuma and Komodo which deliver phenomenal food. The hamachi roll was faintly fishy. the shishito normal. the ponzu thinly sliced fish also sub par. great service. no bartender so they couldn't make cocktails. Ordered apps and spent $200 with a bottle of prosecco. My mouth watered at going here buy when I got there I didnt even order entrees. really bummed.

Ambience and service great.
Sushi rolls were good not great.
My wife and I decided to go here for brunch since we were staying on property. It was the worst mistake ever. The service did not meet our expectations nor did the food. We were very displeased with the overall customer service and the price paid. If you're looking for restaurant for brunch this is not the place to go- there are many great restaurants in the same vicinity so go elsewhere!

Sat outside - it was comforting. Service was great. Food is fantastic.
Our Server Sasha went above and beyond to make our experience great. She made excellent food recommendations and gave us the right level of attention.
Sushi chefs are some of the best in the world. Staff was accommodating and well informed.
Way overpriced for what you get. Plenty of other fine dining options in the area.
The server insisted that we needed more dishes / food. He suggested multiples of the same dish despite the fact we had ordered a lot for the table. We had 3-4 dishes too many ordered for the table as a result. He also recommended one of the most expensive cold sakes. Clearly he was incented by the fact this restaurant automatically puts the service charge on top of the bill even for parties less than 8. I was very disappointed with the server but the food was fantastic and otherwise it was a nice experience.
Yes for the food. but no for the loud music. I asked to lower a bit and the answer was negative. The reason they gave me was that the customers complain cause you can hear conversation from other table. Sincerely for a 260$ dinner for two there should be enough space between table. Said that the food was amazing and the Waiter was great, but manager did hear my request of lower music. Good Experience but probably I will not return again. Many thanks. Rafa

The only 2 plates I wouldnt order are the katsuya ceviche and the crab rolls. They were “meh” beside my favorites which are the gyozas, the rock shrimp, the tuna crispy, the black cod and the brussell sprouts

Great food, terrible service. Forgot our order and made us wait an hour
Roger waiter was Awesome. Food was soooo good. We had NY strip which was actually the only plate with a good amount, had a fatty tuna special which had a sauce and caviar very thin sashimi but good. Katsuya special roll sooo good. Gyoza Braised rib with gruyere cheese melted in your mouth. Scallops in same sauce delish. Ceviche not enough but was good.
Server ignored us for 20 mins after seating and we didnt get out drinks until the main course was half finished another 20 mins later. For their prices and automatic 18% gratuity included their service is unacceptable

Design is awesome, food is good, service ok; the music selection when we had dinner there didn’t suit the place...
The food is simply amazing. The service is ok. Mostly slow and the servers are not paying attention to the table. Had to get up a couple of time to get their attention. Also, they forgot a few plates. It’s great food, so so service.
This was the third time I’ve been to Katsuya and everything I really enjoy the meal. First time was Hollywood and second time was LA Live.... Whenever I travel to a location that has one I’ll be sure to check it out. The bass was by far one of my favorite things to try during this dinning experience. The staff was very accommodating with our time delay. I appreciate and thank them!
Great time nice place
The restaurant decor was quite unique and the food was really good! I had the Wagyu Tobanyaki, which was excellent. Catalina was a great server, very attentive and suggested I try the Kiwi Envy cocktail, which turned out to be a great choice. Definitely recommend.
Went ten minutes earlier, waiting for the table 30 minutes, at the end we had the dinner at the Bar. Won't recommend
Horrible food, and service was so slow up until the check had to be picked up. Even skipped ordering dessert for the simple fact that we knew it would have token too long to get.
Much inferior to the Miami Beach location, demonstrating yet again the problem of multiple venues for a group restaurant. The menu is the same but not the execution or the service.

I had a business lunch at this Katsuya and it was fantastic. The ambiance and food were a wow factor and I highly recommend this place! Great Japanese cuisine.

Music was too loud and we couldn't hear the server ... we chose a tasting menu and were hoping to have an explanation of what we were eating, but the explanation was inconsistent.
Food is overpriced and of poor quality. The restaurant was nearly empty at 8 PM on a Saturday night which is a bad sign. My wife has been to their other locations and said they were much better. I would not go back to Katsuya if invited and would tell other people not to waste their time and money. There are other higher quality Asian restaurants in Miami that I would rather go to.
