Katie's Pizza & Pasta Osteria - Town & Country
We showed up 7 minutes before reservation and we’re not sat until 10 minutes after because people were over the 1:30 limit.
Food and drinks are always so good!
Food was good as usual. Nice touch with a sample of Preseco. Social distancing inside because weather didn’t cooperate for outside seating. They have stopped their lunch portions. Finding it to be a a high priced lunch-2 pastas, 2 wines plus tip almost $80. Love the food but won’t go for lunch as often as before as a result.
Each menu item is made with thought & care. The Arrabiata pasta was flavorful & just the right amount of heat. Don’t miss the $3 bread course, couldn’t stop eating it. A vid was playing at the bar (Hayley outstanding bartender/waiter) btw), featuribg Katie herself. They always say don’t trust a skinny chef but she is definitely the exception!
I always love Katie’s food and service! My friend and I came to catch up and enjoyed the best dinner and service. Travis was a wonderful and attentive server. The food was excellent and the wine choices were perfect. Thank you Travis for a great experience. We will be coming back soon!
The hostess was the worst. First I called to check if I can make a reservation for four adults and two babies and she said she can’t seat us outside because they don’t seat more than five people outside, just inside. She told me to try to walk in without a reservation and try to see if she can seat us somewhere. How can you tell someone with two little kids that? Last time we came to the restaurant without a reservation the wait was more than an hour. You don’t tell your customers to walk in without a reservation. Just offer to make one for them. Then me and my husband arrived earlier to make sure we can seat outside when the rest of the people arrive. The hostess told us the wait will be an hour, so we sat at the bar. She said they only have two tables that she could seat us at, but they are both taken at the moment. The hour passed and the kids arrived and then we saw that she sat three more tables with six people before us. And at first, on the phone she told us that no more than five people can be seated outside. So we had to wait another ten minutes, with screaming kids in our hands before we sat down to eat.
Our server was great and the food is always amazing. That’s why we come to Katies for years, but this hostess situation is just unacceptable. You guys need to train them to be more helpful and willing to work for the customer. I work in a five star property where this is just not acceptable. Sorry for the long post but I was just frustrated
Wonderful service and great food. Reservations are recommended.
Wonderful food. Only complaint is that within a few minutes of receiving our salad course our entrees arrived.
Katie's is my favorite restaurant. The food is always fantastic! The pasta is fresh with wonderful sauces and ingredients. Pizza is always great! Salads are fresh and bountiful. Service is the best. This restaurant has an attention to detail that is hard to find. it is worth the price!
This restaurant is raising the standard for approachable, upscale Italian food in St. Louis. I went last weekend with a friend and had an exceptional food and service experience- so much so that I made reservations for next weekend with my husband! Can’t say enough, this place is a must!
Outstanding food! You definitely get what you pay for!
Too darn loud. Still ! Even with Covid spacing.
Fabulous experience. Amazing food, service and especially the atmosphere.
Honestly just ok. Really expensive for what we got. Probably won’t return. The meatballs and squash blossoms were very good but the truffle pasta and Caesar salad honestly wasn’t good.
We always enjoy our meals at Katie's! Such a good place!
The food was delicious and the service was great!!
Excellent food and service. Sat us early. Respect for pandemic guidelines. Highly recommend!!
Definitely high quality food but more higher-end pricing for lunch reflecting quality of ingredients and portion size.
Highly recommend because of the wonderful options and they have really adapted to ensure safety protocols are followed.
We had a great dinner! Great service!
It was a beautiful but chilly evening. I hope that there will be space heaters soon since there isn’t in door dining.
Service was incredible!
The black pasta I had was amazing. I’ll come back sometime soon to try other menus!
We sat at a table on the corner of the street. It was very windy and loud from the traffic. I like going to Katie’s because of the atmosphere and that was not the experience I had with the table I was given. I don’t recommend keeping that corner table next to Clayton road. Food was good, but not the best that I’ve had there.
Service could have been a bit more attentive on drink refills.
Great food!!! Great service as well. Will go back when I can eat inside.
The chairs we're uncomfortable and the service was pushy. They took an 845 reservtion and both the hostess and server told us we need to order immediately before kitchen closes. Don take an 845 reservation and then pressure your guests. Not acceptable for how much everything costs. Don't trea your ”upscale” restaurant like a mcdonalds. We were trying to celebrate our anniversary. Probably won’t be back. It was $50 for two drinks and shared one pasta because we didn’t have time to choose what we wanted to eat.
The breaded squash blossom appetizer was unique and excellent. Patio dining was a nice experience and well worth going back for—plus in that the noise level was such you could actually have a conversation.
Katie’s is always great!!!
Everything was fantastic.
The server provided us with a special note from the owners thanking us for visiting their restaurant. While the food is always great, the note is just a reminder on why local businesses excel when it comes to creating an enjoyable dining experience.
Overall, we had a good experience, but at the first they placed us at a table that was small for 4 people and right on the road. We were reseated after we requested a proper table. For the price, I was expecting better quality service. Food was good.
Everything here was perfect. Food was excellent. Serve perfect. Highly recommend.
Great. Delicious food and good service. Beautiful outdoor setting.
Wonderful outdoor dining. Pricey but well worth the splurge.
Katie’s food is always great. They have done a nice job of adjusting to restrictions with the patio area.
Wonderful service. Cocktails and Green beans were the best!
Katie's is always a wonderful place to dine. We sat outside and they allowed us to bring our Bernedoodle. They even gave him a nice bowl of water. While spaghetti and meatballs is not an unusual dish - Katie's version is wonderful!
We love Katie’s and frequent your patios often and have always been happy with food and service. However, my daughter celebrated her 18th bday @ T/C patio Friday night with friends. They were seated almost 30min after their reservations. Main hostess was very nice. Some of the waitstaff and/or other hostesses were extremely rude to them. I know that their tables may not have been as profitable since they were not ordering cocktails, but we still spent over $200 for them to have a nice evening out. So disappointed!
Outdoor dining at Katie’s was a delight. Our waitress was very supportive of our ideas to try something new on the menu, but we still had to have our fried artichokes. The patio has plants to somewhat block the view of the parking lot and yes, there is some traffic noise from Clayton Road, but the delicious food will make up for that.
Always tasty. Consistently good.
