   We had a below average experience at Katherine NYC. The restaurant was extremely loud, and with the tables being so close did not help. The food was good, however service was awful. Our server was friendly however this does not make up for lost drinks orders or being forgotten about. Would not return.

   Top quality dining at very reasonable prices. Do not know why anybody would go to a chain restaurant and pay similar prices for inferior food. GREAT atmosphere and service.

   Very pleased with my visit to Katherine. Price was very reasonable -- not sure if that's because we were there during happy hour or not. One of the best old fashioneds I've ever had. Bar staff looked slightly pre-occupied, with what I'm not sure. Great spot for drinks before Korean dining nearby, or for a good drink before hitting a train at nearby Penn Station.

   The food was delicious. Gnocchi and pesto was probably one of the best I've had and this is not my favorite Italian dish. I opted for the hanger steak and got 1/3 - 1/2 of a hanger steak. I could have eaten this in 4 bites. It's seriously no more than 4oz and is an appetizer size entree. It was tasty, but not worth $38. If you're hungry this won't do it. I was expecting 12oz or so a whole Hanger steak not splitting 1 by steak by 3 or 4 orders considering it's cheap and 1-1.5 lbs per steak. The kimchi pizza was really good considering I do not like kimchi. It had a little heat and I do not eat spicy food. The tagliatelle bolongase was also delicious. We also had the caprese app which was fine. Total spend with a martini and 3 beers was $150 before tip. Overall not worth the money, but everything was good. I live in DC so the prices aren't shocking, but the small amounts of food were less than desired. Left hungry.

   I had a reservation for 4 and was the first of my party to arrive. It was nice and quiet inside and thoughtfully decorated. The volume of music was perfect—loud enough to create a vibe without obstructing quiet conversation with your friends. Although I was seated very quickly, no one brought me water or menus for almost 10 minutes (somehow all the wait staff/host were towards the back of the place and I couldn’t flag anyone down) and it was not busy at all. That was disappointing but I finally caught someone’s attention and they brought everything right away. Not the worst service by any means, but at these price points you really shouldn’t have to ask for these things. My friends and I ordered the soppressata pinsa, fritto misto, and burrata salad to share. All were very good but the fritto misto portion felt especially small. We all ordered the AM cocktail—gin, apple, shiso leaf, elderflower, and Prosecco and we LOVED it. Very light, smooth, and refreshing. It was definitely on the pricey side, $20+ for a cocktail, but at least it was delicious! They brought out two complimentary desserts in exchange for us writing a review (and I think because it was my birthday!) since I think they’re relatively new, which we thought was a nice incentive. The waitstaff were all very polite and attentive the remainder of our time there. I’d probably go back if I was in the area and had a fixing for that amazing cocktail, but overall it’s probably not a place I’d go out of my way to return to. There are just so many other options nearby!

    Had a great time here with my girlfriend. The drinks and food options were unbelievable. I ordered the octopus salad, raw oysters and the truffle cream, speck and mushroom pinsa. I ordered the hey mambo cocktail, it’s very refreshing and always hits the spot. For dessert we had the burnt cheesecake, we couldn’t taste the burnt part but it was good nonetheless.

    The food was good but the tapas we went for was not in the menu. Apparently there was an incident with the ingredients so the whole menu changed. I wish we were notified before arrive.

    Katherine's is a sanctuary from the busy streets. The signature cocktails are superb and quirky giving an air of anticipation. Such beautiful service made for a wonderful experience.

    Katherine is a lovely establishment and it has a nice vibe (we realized that it transforms into a nightclub later in the evening, so this review is for dining only). The staff members are attentive and friendly and the drinks are decent (albeit small and pricey for that stretch of 35th street). The food was a tasty and well executed, but again, I felt that it was a bit overpriced for what it was ($14 for a small dish of roasted Brussels sprouts). We had a good experience overall but don’t know that we would rush back again anytime soon.

    They charged additional for every little thing that should be “normal”! $3 extra for whiskey on the rocks! $3 extra for a Manhattan up! They also charged for a drink which we never ordered. Drinks are mediocre.
