I celebrated my bday here. They made me feel super special. Food is amazing. I’d definitely go back
The service was great and the food was amazing.! First timer and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended restaurant.
Very modern environment
A little loud at times and tables were close to each other,
but sushi was amazing and service was fantastic.
It was my daughter's first time there. She loved it. One of her new favorite restaurants.
SIMPLY WOW!! From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere and beyond, they’ve truly NAILED IT!
I love Katana! The service was great and the food was excellent as always. We sat on the patio and the ambience was grown and sexy, I can’t wait to go back!
Amazing! Can’t wait to go back. Say at the sushi bar and the sushi chefs were excellent with great service. Cassie was our server and she was the best.
Great food, service, and experience.
This dinner was amazing. I got the lobster dinner. My boyfriend took me here when we staid at Le Parc. I am going back to KATANA soon!
This is my second time at Katana. I'm from New York, but now when I visit LA, I need to come. The fish is so very good. And I really like the atmosphere. It's on the fancier side, but not too expensive. They do have a dress code, so be warned. Highly recommend though.
Food was authentic and tasty though 1 chicken robata skewer was tough; it was all cartilage. Manager did replace it. Tables are too close with very little room to maneuver. The place was so dark you couldn’t see what u are eating and too loud to carry on conversations. Asked server and management to turn the sound down but it was useless.
The bartender was super slow.
OMG, Best restaurant in Los Angeles as far as I am concerned. Service is fantastic, cocktails are great and the food is incredible. Such a well run, organized Restaurant. An experience not to be forgotten
Any occasion is a good occasion to dine at Katana. Love the restaurant, food and outstanding service. A 10+ always. It doesn’t disappoint
Mitchell is a very good/attentive waiter and was very kind and intuitive re gluten options. Food was very good and the prix-fixe menu is superb as was the restaurant week menu. Ambiance is really cool/unique vibe. Like the outdoor dining. Music speakers could/should be more strategically placed as certain tables are right up against speakers that make talking/hearing (even outside) difficult. Love this place.
Was amazing every thing I ate
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would!
Exceptional service, drinks were great and the food is outstanding.
•The ambiance is perfect; soft lighting and good music.
•The staff is absolutely beautiful, each person was kind and helpful.
•All the dishes were coursed perfectly. Each item was plated perfectly down to the dessert. The food was full of flavor and served at the perfect temperature. I highly recommend the yellowtail jalapeño and the lamp chops.
If I could here every night for dinner, I would!
The service was absolutely horrible from the host. Our waitress was great, the host helping us get seated made us wait 45 minutes after she said it will be a couple minutes wait. After Approaching her and asking her when we’ll be seated she ignored us. We weren’t seated until we had to confront a manager. Dinner reservations were for 10 pm, we got there at 9:50, we weren’t seated until 10:40.
One of my favorite dining experiences. Go with the chefs tasting menu, every mouthful is amazing.
Will be back tons
Excellent staff. Excellent food. This LA staple hasn’t aged a day.
Dinner with my brother which was visiting la
Food is always amazing, ambiance is great, service wasn’t the greatest this time but the place is amazing.
We loved this place. Interesting and beautifully prepared food along with some of the best customer service we have experienced. Absolutely recommend!
Great experience per usual. Entire staff is phenomenal including my batenders!!! Will be a lifelong customer
The food does not fit luxury restaurant, you should make a makeover with the food issue and start working with quality products
The service was absolutely phenomenal. I will not only be back next time I’m in town, but I will be trying their other restaurant in Chicago.
Service was initially slow. Drinks were great, only got the fusion twice but that was great. Dishes were very hit or miss. Wagyu goyza was definitely the best. Pork belly and tsukune yakitori skewers were good. Ribeye one was overcooked and bland. The shrimp scallop sizzling robata dish was pretty good but a little too sour and didn't come out sizzling anymore. Uni sushi was pretty good for the uni but the nori seaweed wrap was subpar and chewy. Jidori chicken was slightly overcooked. Got a free lava cake due to the service which was good. Overall pretty subpar for the price and service at first, but I do like the spot and would come back for maybe just drinks and the gyoza. Parking is half off with validation.
Katana never disappoints. It's the memories and the vibe that make the high prices worth it for me, food is always good but not so amazing that it should be that expensive, so you're definitely paying for the location and ambiance. To take someone somewhere special or to impress someone with a great business dinner meeting, Katana is the place. I don't go there weekly but I always look forward to going there when I do get a chance to dine there. Management and staff has always been top shelf. Roku and BOA are great sister restaurants as well. BOA actually has some of the better steaks in LA and is a bit less expensive than other steak houses that have slide off their game in the past few years.
The service was great; the food was just fair, but we had a nice evening overall.
My son and I come here regularly and we always have such a great time. The staff ate so friendly and the food is always top notch. We tried the lobster men this time and it was so tasty!
Four of my friends and I celebrated two of our birthdays. We had a slight wait for our table but it was a Friday night, the restaurant was super busy and we were slightly late to our reservation - so we waited at the bar for a short time, ordered yummy drinks and were shown to our table outside. This was my second time to Katana and everything from the ambiance to the food is amazing, and I think this might be my favorite sushi restaurant in Hollywood. We wrote a note on our booking that it was a birthday dinner and we were kind of expecting our server to have some sort of notice of that, but we had to tell her at the end of our dinner and then she sent out little dessert with a sparkler. Overall we loved the food, the outside seating area, the service was good and we had a great time!
Always good - the food is outstanding. The service is impeccable. The outdoor seating is so very nice on a pleasant summer evening. I don't go too often, but whenever I do, I always enjoy it. The only drawbacks are it's a bit on the pricey side, and getting there is a challenge.
The food was delectable and our server Susie was amazing! She was informative, attentive, polite and overall a rock star! The rest of the staff also made sure that our table was cleared from any empty plates and that we had clean utensils at all times. My party and I felt welcomed and had a wonderful experience at Katana.
So delish and so fun! Had the best time.
Love this place
One of my favorite restaurant in Hollywood. Great for everything. Yep tasting menu is fabulous. Most of all the service is friendly and very efficient!
celebrated my dads 70th Birthday and it was such a great experience for him. Great service, beautiful ambiance, cool music and incredible food and drinks.
Kind of made my birthday experience trash. Service and waiters were slow & horrible. Kept ignoring us. Food was cold & kept bringing out wrong stuff. Bad experience for me. Especially on my birthday
