It was very good!!
Service was wonderful at the bar! %100 customer satisfaction
Extremely overpriced. Waiter may have been new, because he missed bringing items to us such as the soup and salad. We all ate at the hibachi table but only some of us received the soup and salad. The food was well made and the entertainment was awesome.
The food was overpriced for the taste which was mediocre.
The service was great as the servers were very attentive and polite. Our hibachi chef was nice, but it wasn’t as “fun” for the kids. They’re used to really interactive/funny Teppanyaki chefs.
We also noticed that our cups were dirty once we held them up to the light, but we’d already been drinking out of them at that point (they’re dark brown).
The food was good, but it wasn’t worth the value. We had the salmon (nice filet), sea bass (pretty good), shrimp, fried rice(there’s an up charge), steamed asparagus, soup (this was really good) and salad (terrible-our salads tasted like the bottom of one of those cheap salad mix bags).
The ambiance was nice with dark/deep mahogany decor, making it cute for a date night. Just hope that the guests you share the Teppanyaki with are pleasant (ours wasn’t).
Complementary valet was nice, so parking was a breeze (that’s a plus in Atlanta)
The Mai Tai (I think) cocktail was pretty tasty.
We had a terrible experience at katana. The party behind us was playing heads up,yelling and screaming. It was so bad we couldn’t even hear each other. We told the hostess and she did nothing. Then finally a manager came over and then they offered to credit our fried rice. We had an over 200 dollar dinner that was completely ruined by their behavior. The fact that management did nothing made it even worse. Thanks so much for crediting 6 dollars worth of fried rice. I also explained to the manager that I frequently go there and again he did nothing. Terrible experience I will never be back!
Great food and very accommodating! Also had a great server!!
We had a great time once again celebrating our Granddaughter's birthday at Katana. She requested to go there because of the positive experience we had before. We had a large group the first time and the experience was very enjoyable. Food, service, and ambiance were wonderful as it was on our recent visit.
The first time at this restaurant and overall, I loved the place. Love the environment, especially how the place is set. I would highly come here again and its perfect for a date or any special occasion.
Food tasted good aside from the NY strip lacking some salt/soy. Insanely expensive for what you get though. $27 for strip steak that doesn’t include veggies. $8 for mixed veggies, $3 for fried rice. So $43ish with tax for regular hibachi. Ouch.
I've eaten here 1/2 dozen times this year alone and food/service great, but this last visit it was noticeably different. I noticed the clientele was different as well. It was a larger African American presence and it made me think perhaps that why certain things were taking place. I made reservations for 7:30pm. My guests and I arrived at 7:15 and even though there were plenty table open wasn't allowed to be seated. When host came to bar to retrieve us, she seated us at hibachi grill. I asked the cook assigned why were we at grill, we were all eating sushi. We were reseated to table. The AC was either out or turned off, as we sat to converse and eat we all noticed how hot it was in the place. The sushi platter that I always order looked something more like a kiddie platter. My guests also noticed the sushi slices were a slither. My family was visiting from NY and this was their first time to Katana. It was a disappointment. I still gave the waitress a nice tip as this was not her fault, but your policy, service and quantity should be same for all guests. Someone new visiting wouldn't realize they're being screwed, but a regular would. Taking you off the list and since I work for large agency I'm going to pass information along.
One of my favorite sushi spots in Atlanta. Always delicious and great service.
Friendly staff, and great food. hibachi grilled veggies and spicy gochujang KFC were delicious. Cucumber martini was excellent.
I had a great time, the food was good, the cooks were entertaining . It was just great customer service. It didn't take long for the food to come out. We also meet some great friends there also. So we're looking forward to coming back
Good sushi, but the service was slow. 15-20 min to receive the drinks we ordered. We had to keep waiving the waiter to take our order and track down our drinks. Long delay for the bill and didn’t check on us during our meal. We had to ask for water refills. It got so bad we told the waiter to leave the pitcher of water.
We eat here regularly but tonight they were running a bit behind. Our reservation was at 7:00pm and the guy didn’t start cooking at the table until 8:00pm
Katana was superb. We did Teppanyaki but have done the sushi side before as well. We had a wonderful experience with Chef Miguel. Great memories for us and our daughter. Steak, chicken, and shrimp were all excellent. Side of asparagus fries were to die for!!! Yum.
Great food ! Great service ! I would highly recommend this place
No wait time... nice and professional presentation of the food and delicious!!!
Food wasn’t bad nice size portions drinks was good rice was a little bland but xtra garlic butter fixed it suck they were out filet so had to get a strip nice for parties I would go back and my boyfriend had the sea bass was amazing both with a drink and tax came to 169 not bad at all we had sushi was amazing also added chicken and a steak
Not your typical teppanyaki experience, and I do not mean that in a positive way. It felt more like a club environment and they charge a fee for almost everything. To top it off, their bar service is ridiculously slow to the point where it is not even worth order a beverage. Never returning.
It was definitely a nice place. The environment was dope. The only thing that I didn’t agree with was that you had to pay for vegetables if you wanted them as to other hibachi places they’ll provide it with the meal
I had a wonderful experience. My girl loved the food, service and the show from the cook. My night ended perfect. Thanks we will be back.
I felt that we were somewhat rushed
The sushi is amazing. That’s why we keep going there.
Service was terrible. Waited 35 minutes for our drinks and a little longer for the food.....
Took my grand daughter for her birthday. Everything was gr8!
Worst hibachi I’ve had. Over priced. Do not include vegetables or don’t offer combinations.
Excellent service and Great food! Valet parking is complimentary.
The service was great and so was the ambiance. However, The food was a disappointment. I was excited to try the sushi, but the texture was off and there was no flavor. I tried my friend’s garlic butter fried rice and it lacked flavor as well.
Great food, very good service! We loved the restaurant.
Everything was really good!!
Our chef was very entertaining and the food was excellent! Everyone had a great time!
Our servers and hibachi chef were fantastic, but it was bit over priced for what you get. You pay for every vegetable, if you want fried rice, and the meat portions are on the smaller side. Not sure we’d go back.
I was not impressed with the teppanyaki at all. Food was just good but not amazing. I would recommend Nakato or even Benihana over this place.
Great spot for Japanese cuisine! Food was outstanding. Atmosphere was very comfortable but also had a formal feel to it. Only downfall was that the service wasn’t the best. They were very busy so it was understandable and the food alone made up for it! I would definitely recommend Katana!
We came to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We had a wonderful time. AJ our hostess was awesome. The food was great and we enjoyed the experience!!
We arrived for an early dinner - 6:45. Parked and then had to live the car as we were told that valet parking was mandatory. No fee - one guy working for tips only.
Dinner was typical Teppanyaki format. Our chef seemed newer and struggled with the theatrical aspect. Other diners had more skilled chefs at their grills. Food was good and plentiful. Wait staff was very attentive.
Upon leaving, waited over ten minutes in the cold rain trying to get our car. Still a single valet who couldn’t keep up. Cars were backed up onto the main busy road trying to get in. He was confused on keys so we had to retrieve our own, and the car was only 20 yards from the door. This had some drivers fuming.
Fantastic food, great service and great atmosphere.
Food and atmosphere were great. Wish that the Hibachi was available during lunch.
