   Went for a friend's big birthday as a small group. Waitresses were lovely, friendly and attentive. Food was great. Some items on dessert were out of stock and it is a small menu but for a normal Scottish pub menu it was good, ie fish and chips, steak pie, hamburger, pork belly with rice, or.could cjoose more starters like chicken wings, camembert, rosemary fries, etc. Peach and strawberry crumble and sticky toffee pudding were great. Also the cocktails. We were there for lunch in the main restaurant and moved outside for coffee. Always a great view. Totally recommend for the view, service and food. We even were given a discount for the birthday girl's meal which was not necessary but absolutely gives a good vibe and will be remembered. The bar staff wven pointed out on paying that the 10pc service was included on the bill but you can add more, only if you wanted. A lot of tourists are caught out by that in Scotland so that was good practice we thought. Will defonitely go again soon. Thanks team Karma!

   If you want good food go somewhere else as the monkfish cheeks were overcooked and the crispy battered fish was soggy on the underside and to top it off a surcharge of 12% was included in the bill if I had noticed that they would have received nothing and we will not be back.

   Really disappointed. Feels like it’s gone downhill since we last ate there. Food was very average. When booking, told them it was for a special occasion however no mention or reference. Will not be going back

   I eat at karma every couple of months and as a rule find little fault in my experience. This time the staff were overstretched. The wait between courses and even drinks were bordering ridiculous for some tables. This clearly comes from the kitchen side as the servers were doing everything they could to keep the customers reassured their food was coming. A young lad had his hands full with dishes being sent back twice from the table next to ours. He could not have been more apologetic and remained calm and pleasant. We were a late booking and got a 6.15 slot. They could have given us many other slots which is bizarre when you are pushed to deliver. It’s better to stop taking bookings and give those covers a great dining experience than over stretch the staff to the point where new customers may not return. As I say I have had many great experiences at karma and will hold them and return hopefully to have more in the future. It was just a bad night for the kitchen unfortunately.

   We were disappointed with the lack of choice and quality of the food for this relatively expensive restaurant. 3 menu items were not available and then the one that I chose I was told was not available after I ordered it. Not acceptable for a Saturday evening. My partners expensive beef dish was extremely tough and she was unable to finish it. When we booked we highlighted that it was a birthday meal but there was not even mention of it from the staff. Overall very disappointing. I believe there is a better restaurant nearby which I would opt for.

   Ist visit to Karma Lake. Very impressed. Beautiful location despite the weather being poor in the day. Definitely be going back in the summer to try out the BBQ cook outs plus boat trips to the Island on the lake. Food was amazing and great service.

    Great waiting staff and very knowledgeable. The scenery across the lake with the swans and ospray is always stunning
