Wow!!! What a great new spot in St. John, food is awesome, drinks are great. They have amazing bartenders by the way and a cool bar to drink and eat at. Great vibe will go back several times per trip for sure.

We had a group of 9 for dinner at sunset on our last night in St. John. The ambiance in the restaurant was great, beautiful sunset views over Cruz Bay, excellent service, and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the Crab Rangoon and Poke Tuna Nachos for appetizers, and the Cruz Bay Roll. We will definitely be back!

What a great addition to the Cruz Bay restaurant scene. The decor is relaxing, and the location cannot be beat. We had dinner twice and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. My husband had the Fried Oysters Rockefeller and declared them the best he has had. He also had the Shrimp Tempura roll each time and love that as well. I had the filet the first night, and the chicken the second. Both came with the creamiest and most delicious, mashed potatoes I have ever had. Service was friendly and attentive.

Mother’s Day meant $85 per person brunch only (no sushi!). Restaurant was only 10% full. Plenty of customers stopping in the bar, but immediately leaving. However, they didn’t provide the cocktail menu as it was part of the regular (non-Mother’s Day) menu. Let we knew the menu options. Our server started 2 1/2 hours earlier and we were her first ticket! We had cocktails only - this was our third visit and we were counting on sushi - much to our chagrin. There was a DJ playing Saturday Night Dance Music way too loud for midday brunch. I left behind a special SPF rated golf hat on the high-top table at the bar (empty of customers when we left). Upon returning 10 minutes later to retrieve it; we never left the mall, but it was gone. Can only assume an employee kept it. Our server thoroughly searched to no avail. Besides the bad decision on Mother’s Day menu (they should have had a special bar menu in addition to the buffet IMHO), my opinion of Karma Beach Lounge after 3 visits is that they are suffering start-up difficulties. It is a delightful venue with great drinks and outstanding sushi, but the lack of coordination and thin management oversight is less than satisfactory. I can’t see how they are making money, and my wife believes they will fail with 6-12 months due to hemorrhaging expenses and limited revenue stream. In other words, it is an eight cylinder engine with only 4 cylinders firing.

What a great location - love the feel of Karma! The sushi is fabulous- drinks too! A few things we did NOT appreciate. We sat at the bar & saw the bartenders making shots - giving them to customers to the right of us - we were not offered one - they made like four of them - the customers enjoyed them as the two bartenders did the other two shots made! We liked the place so much that we went back for Mother’s Day at the beach and for the delightful cocktails & more sushi - sorry just a prix fixe at $85 - no sushi (BUMMER) - thank goodness we knew what cocktail we wanted - wish there was a bar menu (NOT) the place wasn’t full - customers came in & out as it was only a brunch (they went elsewhere) While having our one cocktail we noticed three customers at the bar with take out from another place - the chef saw it - stopped - the customers said they were told it was ok to bring in outside food. RIDICULOUS- it made us so mad we couldn’t get food and to see that - we finished up & left. Suggestion - management needs to observe what’s happening to make KARMA a success rather than a failure.

Really slow service and a waiter who got his 20% by default. All of our food came out at different times. Nice views tho.

The restaurant's decor and location are truly exceptional, creating a lovely atmosphere. However, the food and pricing require significant attention. We found the dishes to be inconsistent, with noticeable issues regarding seasoning – some were too salty, while others lacked depth of flavor. The prices are very high relative to the portion sizes and overall quality. Our server was very attentive and apologetic for the extended wait times for drinks, appetizers, and entrees, indicating this is a common complaint. While we've enjoyed many dining experiences in St. John over the past five years, this one was by far the most disappointing. We believe the restaurant has great potential, and hope that management will address these concerns to create a more balanced and satisfying dining experience for future patrons.

Skip this is you are looking for a laid back island experience. If you prefer a loud Miami /South Beach feel this is for you. We come to STJ multiple times per year and we’re looking forward to trying the new beachfront restaurant and we’re more than disappointed! Stick to the local “tried and true” places on the island and support local - they NEVER disappoint!!

Amazing sushi! The vibe along the water was fantastic. The music is far too loud but the sushi makes up for it. The drinks were a bit weak and too heavy on juices. Overall, a great place to eat good food and watch the boats come in and out of Cruz Bay.

Overall the restaurant food and ambiance is great. Our service was terrible. For some reason we were served little glasses of water with no ice, seemed like everyone else around had larger glasses with ice. Food took over an hour and the waitress took little attention to our table. At one point I had to ask the hostess to get my daughter’s food from the kitchen. Great location and food was good, but would not return! You can tell the waitress knew the 20% tip was coming regardless so no real interest to work for additional tip. The hostesses were the hardest working people in the restaurant.
