   I'd firstly like to say my problem does not lie with the staff members, I was pleased with how this situation was dealt with. I was disappointed that I'd had no commutation 48 hours prior to my booking regarding allergies, it was only on the door that we were turned away due to my friend having a peanut allergy, in his words " (to) deny service to anyone with an allergy is excluding such a large group of people". Before I tuned up for my reservation I had been charged £10pp for two people who had to cancel due to health emergencies out of their control earlier in the week. If I did receive information about the allergy situation 48 hours before as stated by the staff last night then I would not have expected my two other guests to show up anyway as we would have chosen somewhere else, it makes me feel that I have been unfairly charged a fee for not dining at Karen's Diner in the first place. I have left messages with the restaurant team regarding my complaint and would appreciate a response. It was a disappointment to all 4 of us that showed up for this and I hope this can be resolved as I would one day like to attend the diner but overall expect some kind of compensation for a less-than-optimal evening. I have unfortunately had to click I wouldn't recommend this to a friend but just on the basis of this unfortunate situation.

   Staff were great and extremely entertaining even with their abuse! The service was poor but that’s what we expected and all part of the experience (especially with the menus being thrown at you)A burger with abuse thrown in Food was extremely good and quick

   From start to finish we all had such a laugh!!! Everyone needs to experience this at least once in their lifetime The team were all brilliant but Callum and Amy were fantastic,don’t think we will be forgetting this for a long time still laughing now!!! Much love Roots !!!

    If you want to laugh until you nearly kiss yourself the minute you walk in the door, please please go!!! We had the best time all evening with a great and diverse staff team Food was bloody lovely too Can’t wait to go back x

    Had so much fun and laughed so hard, the servers make the whole restaurant, it was so funnyyyy. The food was good too, but not worth the price. But honestly it's worth it for the atmosphere. The other diners join in on the jokes too and it's really cool, absolutely loved it lol!!

    Went yesterday food was amazing best burger I’ve ate ever. Just the kind of diner service we liked, had a right laugh staff are amazing at what they do. Especially Steph (fizz) definitely be back again. Thanks Karen’s

    It’s a very different experience to every other restaurant but I do have to say one of the best though. The waiters and waitresses put on a good show to keep everyone entertained and we will be going again.

    Loved every minute of Karen’s ambience , what a fantastic concept ! The employees our fantastic and don’t break character , Keep up the great work guys The food is out of this world tasty, but I guess that speaks for itself when you taste it for yourself! If you like Burgers definitely the place to go 100%

    I took my mum for Mother's Day and it was brilliant from start to finish. Staff were rude and ignorant and I couldn't fault them. I was a bit unsure about them swearing at kids but have to assume parents know what they're taking their kids to before they go. We loved it and we're looking forward to going again.

    Too pushy to make you spend on drinks and tips. Food was poor and expensive. I realise you visit for the experience but food still needs to be of good quality. staff were good at what they do but we wouldn’t return.

    Great fun, amazing atmosphere. The staff all worked incredibly hard to make everyone’s evening enjoyable. The food was good, slightly overpriced for what you get but still worth it when you consider the atmosphere and the effort the staff put in. The only downside is the filth. It really needs a good clean. The menus were unreadable in places due to the gunk and the restaurant and toilets were in desperate need of a clean. Greasy yuck on the chef counter and the toilets were quite an experience. We turned a blind eye to that and had a great night.

    The young girl and tall lady that served us were so pleasant and polite, they catered for all our needs and even waved us off with a delightful middle finger!! Great stuff, it was my daughters birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!! 👌🏼

    The experience was great….. staff were brilliant and they could really read the room! Had everyone up and having fun…. Definatley worth going for the experience and for a laugh but go expecting good food lol Defo not worth the money food wise but would have absolutely paid double just for the entertainment. It was my sons 16th birthday and he had a blast! There were really young children in there which I absolutely would NOT ever recommend taking them But each to their own!!!

    Yes we understand the concept, but the food is awful, slapped together and over priced. The staff appear as if they don't understand the concept. Toilets dirty. Uncomfortable surroundings and a big disappointment. Can of coke £3 please.

    Happy with the food and drinks. Staff were good but we didn't quite get the experience we expected from hearing about the restaurant as it was our first time coming and our first date together and we didn't get a table to sit at only stools opposite the bar. Understand it was very busy but maybe shouldn't have let us book then. Also no insulting hat :(

    Did what it said on the tin.staff work hard and it shows.Food is nothing more than food you get from a supermarket which you can cook yourself and is way overpriced. Done it once and wouldn't do it again.
