Great food, every dish unique and interesting. Terrific wine recommendation from the wine steward. Can’t wait to return.
We ducked in at 6:30 for an early dinner before a show nearby. Everything we ate and drank was fantastic; our server said she'd only been on the job for two weeks but she was knowledgeable, friendly, and on the ball.
Second time visiting and Dave was our server for both times. He remembered my food preferences and sent out different dishes from each part of the menu. Great time and great food!
One of the best meals my wife and I have ever had.
The Branzino was superb.
Great Service too!
The food was delicious and prepared well
But the restaurant was busy!!
We had to wait a while for everything we ordered and the server was too busy to call back after we Ordered.
Fantastic! The octopus and baby goat dishes are amazing.
Wouldn’t let us sit outside, food took very long time.
Food was amazing! The braised lamb and baby goat dishes combine classical Greek dishes with a nice twist.
Great meal and service. Enjoyed everything tremendously and our waiter Jason Aa was wonderful and very helpful making food and wine recommendations.
We would go again without hesitation.
Great food, service and ambiance. Especially recommend the dips--tarmosalata... mmmm!
Food was decent; the waiter was awesome.
Went to brunch at Kapnos on Sunday and had a great time. The food and the service was outstanding. The three spreads is a great way to start, our server recommended 3 and they were great. I always enjoy dining at Kapnos.
Always enjoy Kapnos. Waitress was sweet & knowledgeable. Food is yummy. Great mix. Nice atmosphere.
It was bad. Food was too smoked. Got 3 mimosas for bottomless brunch. Really?
Food was outstanding, best meal I’ve had in a long time and the server was great too!!
We always enjoy dining at Kapnos. Food is consistently good and service is always outstanding.
Many small plates shared, fresh and authentic from the spread plate app to the pork entree. The Smoked eggplant with walnuts was fantastic!
2 for dinner, with cocktails incl tip, $180.00
Great menu. Great food. Service was spotty, but it was Easter.
Unlimited food and drinks brunch for $39!!?! What a deal! The food and drinks were amazing, we had great service, totally would go here again!
Food is perfect.
This entire experience was made amazing by our waitress. Wish I had got her name but we were sitting in the back against the window looking into the kitchen with a great view of the pastry chef making treats. Overall the food and the pacing of our dishes were perfect. Could not think of one bad thing to say.
Overall very nice ambiance, the decoration was outstanding and the servuce excellent. The food, oh the food was fantastic. I didn't want to leave
Amazing food! The spanakopita and grilled calamari was stellar, as was the baby goat. Definitely will be planning a return trip!
Great restaurant and food. Visited Washington DC for the second time and could leave without having another excellent meal at Kapnos. The lamb is cooked to perfection
I would have been expected much more greek dishes. There were few original dishes.
Fantastic food and great service!!
We had the tzatziki and hummus, which were both very good. The brussel sprouts were excellent, as was the charred octopus. We had Kapnos own wines, both white and red. Both were very nice.
Locating a parking spot was difficult.
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Would definitely go again and recommend to my friends for sure.
-I made a reservation for 2 adults and a baby when I came the host had only one set in the table. I asked for 2 then she told me I should have told them that. I replied to her telling her I did and she seemed to be offended with that. Then they sent me a new host( I don't think you need a host after you are seated but ok).
-we also took the 80 usd all included. We asked for dessert and we're not told it wasn't included until we payed!
-Also I had a stroller and had I lift it to be able to get in since the other door was closed " for inclement weather" there was not inclement weather that day!
-Food is great!!
Fantastic as always, both the food and the service.
All six of us were very pleased. It was the first time for all of us and we were treated with great warmth and courtesy Two of us arrived before the others and we were seated at our table for six and our waiter patiently explained items on the menu we were not familiar with and made excellent recommendations. I am telling many friends to try Kapnos
My friend and I were able to converse easily without having to shout across the table. The food was very good, but I felt the restaurant was overpriced. I don't think I'd return despite the good service and quality of the food.
This was so great. Service was incredible! Dave from Quebec was amongst the best wait staff I've ever had. Would 14/10 go back.
The 14th St location was terrific, especially the service! Being a vegetarian, the flavors and taste hit the spot - even gluten free family members were stuffed and happy!
I really like Kapnos. I've been 2x and I've have a great experience each time. I brought my uncle who was in town here because it has a solid menu to give a newcomer lots of choices that aren't risky. We got the trio spreads, brussels, and lamb chops. Everything was really excellent and flavorful. The one downside is that they only have 1 chicken dish. So for picky eaters, may not be the best. Tons of red meat and seafood options, though they seafood portion is smaller than their meat portions.
I had a nice cocktail, beer, and wine selection. The menu is DC prices, so not a place to go for cheap eats. Easily ~$120 for the two person meal I had (2 drinks, 1 app, 1 side, 2 person main).
The roasted meats are the star here. The rest of the food is marginal. And the prices are ridiculous. I had a yogurt parfait for dessert that was about 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt, some honey drizzle, and some crumbled filo dough. $11. The yogurt was so thick I could not enjoy it. This required no imagination to put together.
We went for brunch. Nothing special even though things sounded good on the menu. If it had roasted meat, it was better. Potatoes had no taste.
I was disappointed and won't be back anytime soon. Servers were all excellent.
A group of my friends went there for weekend brunch and opted to do the all you can eat brunch. The price was reasonable for all the food we ordered and the dishes were amazing. I especially love their baklava.
The tasting menu was amazing, can't recommend highly enough.
Birthday celebration. Excellent food and service.
