Our server Brandt was excellent.
Excellent food and great service! Highly recommend it and will definitely be returning on our next visit to College Park.
Good food, good service. Portion sized to share. Will be back.
Everything was GREAT! The food was soooo good and we definitely plan on returning.
Excellent food and service. Perfect for celebrating our anniversary.
Kapnos is wonderful, and I'm so glad to have a place with delicious, creative food and attentive service for a fairly reasonable price in College Park. It hits all the right buttons and is a welcome addition to the community.
Best lamb I’ve ever had.
Awesome food! Excellent and much-needed addition to College Park!!!!!!!!
Great food, great service. I’ll be back.
Honestly the best service anyone could ask for while dining. Friendly service and good food
Outstanding meal, evening. When visiting from New Jersey, I love Kapnos
The best in College Park. The best in College Park. The best in College Park.
Kapnos was very good! Would definitely recommend.
Food was excellent but was not a fan of the brunch menu at 230pm on a Saturday. Would have preferred regular entrees for lunch.
Great healthy eating options. The menu is different but everything I have tried is delicious! The pricing is good too. Love this place!
Creative menu and great taste. Vinegar in Mediterranean salad was little bit strong to me. Grilled octopus was one of your greatest.
The food was very good to spectacular ...offering surprises and not disappointing on the dishes we were familiar with. We found the method of service to customers to be unfamiliar at first but soon realized that it was a very efficient way to deliver your product fresh, hot, cold, on-time. Having different servers delivering food and drinks from multiple points of the kitchen and bar work because it was well coordinated ...and added to the feeling of a dynamic dining experience.
This is one of those restaurants where you can order food you will likely not make yourself. I think you will enjoy it the most if you go with at least four people, though my son and I enjoyed our meal when we went on our own. HIghlights are the brussel sprouts and the lamb (not the shoulder). My husband and son enjoyed the octopus but I found it too tender and didn't taste grilled enough for me. Try the Bubbles Maked You Clap cocktail if you like cosmos - it doesn't contain vodka (I think it is gin) so it has a differnt taste, but it is a nice light tasty drink.
This was our second time. They were heavy-handed on the heat spices which was not at all what he had the first time. When we arrived for our reservation, our table was not ready which was fine. We said we would wait in the bar and the hostess asked for our phone number so that they could text us because she thought we were going out to the hotel bar and not the restaurant's bar. When we went to their bar, it was obviously set up for people to eat and not just sit to have a drink. Service was OK. We ran out of water and had to ask for more. There were also fruitflies at the bar and at our table that we're annoying. Hopefully they'll get rid of those.
Tapas/small plates great concept. Liked the apps and salads, n veggies more than entrees.
This is my second time at Kapnos Taverna in College Park and it did not disappoint! Food is delicious, there are many different options and you can’t leave there hungry. Can’t wait to go back again...so many more things to try!
Although this is a tapas style restaurant, our group was quite annoyed that the main dishes for everyone came out at a different time, so we didn't eat together. The food was cold and overpriced.
We will not be returning.
I loved everything about our dinner. Loved sharing plates, loved the delicious, gourmet choices, lots of interesting flavors...it was awesome! Wonderful service.
Some of our favorites: tzatziki with flatbread, the broccoli, the Brussels sprouts, the salmon, the spit roasted lamb, apple cobbler and the chocolate mousse. Wow! I can’t wait to go back.
WE had a wonderful dinner of many different dishes. This was perfect for sampling the menu and truly enjoying the chef's craft. The food was beautifully presented. The waiters were well informed and very friendly. Top notch.
Previous dinner on Parents Weekend good. Vibrant evening atmosphere, fun tapas dinner. NOT a Sunday brunch place. Only a couple of patrons there at 11:30. Our 4 breakfast orders came out separately. Time between husband’s waffles and mother’s eggs about 15 mins. Then, the waiter explained that brunch orders came out staggered, when ready. White bean kale side was actually “soup” in a bowl and scrambled eggs were tough. Nice atmosphere, especially for CP, but brunch could be improved.
We went in for a Saturday lunch before a matinee movie. Very quiet and good for conversation. Reduced menu compared to dinner, but sufficiently varied to put together a very nice meal. Great taramasalata for starter with pita. Pide with spinach and scrambled egg was very fresh and the eggs perfectly cooked. Shared a dessert of walnut cake with lemon curd filling and olive oil ice cream. Sounds odd, but really interesting and pleasing taste and texture.
The food was good. Plates included Marinated Olives, Humus, Crudite, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Chicken Souvlaki and Bifteki. Service left a little to be desired. Waiting too long for items to be delivered. Half of the items coming out significantly earlier than others...
The food is good but not great they need to hire some busser to clean the dirty dishes from the table when the guest are done eating because when I was there they never clean my table I have the dessert and the dirty dishes were still on the table
We were really excited to check out a restaurant at The Hotel for the first time! There was some confusion when we came in about our reservation and the table we wanted. We ended up being seated near the windows which give an amazing view of the engineering fields and the activity around the M. Brian was lovely but, as it was slow, it was understandably difficult to catch him sometimes. The food and drink were great though my family found the potato hash and scrambled egg gyro a little underseasoned. I usually don’t like most baklava but I really enjoyed my French toast! Perfect mix of fruit too. Overall great experience and finally an upscale and interesting place to dine in College Park!
The food was tasty, but the portions are VERY SMALL. Menu prices seem in line, but you need to order many dishes so it adds up quickly. Price aside the food was excellent. We will definitely go back. The restaurant is very noisy so not a place for a quiet date or an important meeting, but otherwise a ton of fun and very good food.
Great Mediterranean food! Tapas style but the portions are pretty good size.
Crowded. Server a bit inattentive. Small portions. DC has come to College Park.
Good food, nice environment, second time and I will come back.
Fabulous valentine’s dinner. Food was exceptional and our servers were very good.
Valentine’s dinner with my husband. Food was so delicious. I have a life threatening allergy and our server and the cooks were so helpful and careful to make sure the food I ate was safe for me. If you like Greek food you will love Kapnos. Best Greek food I have ever had.
My favorite new restaurant in College Park and the surrounding area. Never disappoints!
Our guests loved the food. We had a very nice dinner.
In general, the food was very good and as described. We ordered hummus which was delicious. I told the server I am allergic to dairy. I asked if the swordfish had dairy. He said no. It came with yogurt drizzled all over it. We were heading to a show so I didnt have time to send it back. Also, the falafel was very spicy and fell apart. The other food was good.
The wine was excellent and so was the service.
Consistently excellent food (had about 12 items in our party of 5) at this new restaurant in College Park. I think it is a winner!
Plates of food are not big, in between full size and tapas. Parking at hotel is included for 3 hrs, remember to validate.
