I have eaten at several Kanki restaurants and some others of similar theme. The Kanki at North Market is by far the best of the lot. Seemed like every staff member we encountered was personally concerned that we have the best dining experience. Especially want to recognize our table chef, Max, who not only was skilled in the performance of preparing the meals, but also made sure that each member of our party was happy with the result. His interaction was entertaining, but not intrusive.
I look forward to going back again and will certainly recommend it.

We were there for Father’s Day lunch. The food was great, as was the chef. However, our server wasn’t very attentive of our needs. There were other employees who came to check on us more often than she did. After serving our soup and/or salad, she didn’t come back to the table anymore until after we were finished with our meals. Overall, the visit was very pleasant, as we were surrounded by family.

Had a long wait despite reservation but understood it was father's day. I ordered steak and the quality and amount of the steak was very poor. Floors were very greasy as we were slipping all over the dining room.

This is the second time we have had a significant wait, with a reservation., at this location. With both experiences they were understaffed for the evening both in wait staff and chefs. It is the only complaint that I have about this restaurant though, as the food was delicious and they made accommodations for one individual with a food allergy.

Love Kanki! Expensive but the entertainment makes it worth it. Our chef, Victor, went the extra mile to make our daughter's dinner after graduating high school extra special.

Everything was great right until it was time for the bill and we were informed that the credit card reader was not working. We found enough cash from everyone in our party to pay the bill and tip. A back up procedure should be in place for emergencies like this situation. We were told also that if we did not have the cash there was not really anything they could do about it. I wonder how many free meals were done on that day.

The only problem we had was we used the app but the hostess DIDN'T check us in. We had toask why we weren't being seated after 20 minutes.

We have always enjoyed Kanki and this Mother’s Day visit was no exception. Our chef even had a couple new “tricks” that we hadn’t seen before which was nice.

Food was good, but service and follow through was poor. We came in for a birthday. This was notated when the reservation was made, again with the hostess and again with the server and another team member. Despite all this there was nothing done. Service was slow and we waited for 15-20 minutes for our table despite having a reservation.

While this part is not the restaurant fault, the woman at our table spent the ENTIRE dinner on the phone!!! It was very disruptive and disrespectful so overall the evening wasn’t what we hoped.

We went for our anniversary. We had reservations and arrived a few minutes early. We were seated in less than 10 minutes. Our server, Jaylen was great. He was attentive and gave wonderful customer service. He was on top of pre-bussing. He was very polite. Our chef (I don't recall his name) was fantastic as well. He was entertaining and our food was delicious. Our food had so much flavor.

The good didn thave that many jokes like we are used to so it was kind of boring Especially because i took my son there for the first time for his birthday and i wanted it to be exciting but it was kinda boring, an they didnt sing him happy birthday like i put in the reservation information

Today was my first time visiting Kanki. Our waiter was great. The cook was good as well, most of all we enjoyed our food and drinks. We made Reservation which I was glad because it was getting crowded early Sunday.

Our cook and waiter were both amazing. The lady working the check in/front desk was our only issue. We will stick to the Crabtree location from now on.

North Market has a great atmosphere, not overwhelming or awkward. The tables are a little small compared to other Kanki’s I’ve been to so there’s not much elbow room. My cool Wilson was so hilarious I felt bad for a neighboring table who’s cook barely spoke to them. Wilson kept the jokes coming and thoroughly entertained the adults and kids there! He should be training all the cooks to be like him as it definitely makes the price worth it.

Well it was my second visit in two weeks first time was great second time I was not satisfied the waitress was horrible the cook had to go get my fiancé a refill on his drink and I ordered a appetizer and she forget to put it in DIDNT say sorry or anything just she forgot and when I was getting ready to leave she brought me some raw dumplings it was just a bad experience I don’t wanna sit at that table ever again I don’t know if I’ll return to this location

We made a reservation but weren’t seated for at least 20 minutes after our reservation time, although we showered up 10 minutes early.

Service was very very slow after being seated. Our drink order was taken close to a half hour after being seated. Once drinks arrived and we placed our full order, things went more smoothly. The cook was great, very personable. We would have preferred less butter and soy sauce though, as the food had too much of both.

Waiting as long as we did to get started drew comments from both other parties st our table, as well. Seemed understaffed.
