Birthday party for a family member and could barely hear the singing from the staff while sitting at the same table.

Food is always amazing but the chef could have tried harder to impress— have been to Kanki on multiple occasions where the chef attempts to have the guests catch food, plays with a drum like set on the grill too, etc. none of that occurred with this visit, but we were lucky to witness it at the other tables.

chef was not engaging. had two grandkids with us. nothing. threw food onto our plates and food was so-so .

We made sure they knew it was a friends birthday but they forget..? And didn’t send out anything even while everyone in the restaurant was getting special birthday treatment. ALSO I’ve been on a small portion diet and they didn’t let me order from the kids menu.. we spent over $300 in drinks and other food and they wouldn’t let me order an $8 dollar kids meal? COOL.

Kanki is always a fun restaurant for special occasions. On this recent visit, while the food was very good and the chef was outstanding, our waitress made us feel rushed and she was very hard to hear over the background noise. We repeatedly had to ask her to speak up and she seemed very brusque. Too bad but otherwise a very enjoyable evening.

Food was great and the entertainment is what you show up for. This time our chef wasn't nearly as fun as I have seen in the past or those at other tables around us. We were there for my son's 18th birthday and they did sing and provide a bowl of sherbet which was nice. I was expecting the throwing of shrimp and showboating of his skills a bit more, that would have made for a 5 star event hands down.

We had a waiter from another table harass our family member for asking the hostess for mints saying that she was his gilfriend so dont try to talk to her. This was a b-day celebration and we spent more then 400 dollars at the table to be harrassed by staff about his girlfriend I was so embrassed and dissapointed!

The host we’re not very nice at the end we lost our keys and 45 minutes later they tell us that they were in the drawer upfront!

This was my first visit to Kanki and it definitely won't be my last! The service was amazing, the food was above my expectations, and everything felt like it was perfect. Will reccomend this location to everybody.

It’s a great place to go with Family to celebrate a Birthday or any occasion, it feels personal because you have your own chef, I love it!!! I felt special and the chef had a great attitude as well as the waiter.

We went for lunch. Food was great and we had enough left over for lunch the next day! Our steak dish was cooked the way we like it. Our cook was very entertaining. This is a great place to go with family and friends.

Kanki always has a great flare to it and the food is always delicious. We were a group of five, so it was difficult to interact and talk and it seemed we were constantly interrupted with things being picked up from our table or other type of service interruptions which are necessary I know, but still interrups.

I would recommend that if somebody made a reservation don’t just assume I cancelled it. Double check the confirmation that I did. The seaters assumed that I canceled my reservation so they couldn’t seat us until 20 minutes after my reservation was previously set.

Kanki has been a family favorite for over 30 years. It’s been increasingly going downhill for the past few years. Service is very rushed and overall cleanliness needs improvement. The prices do not reflect the quality. The chefs have always been fun and entertaining. Sadly, it’s lost it’s appeal. We’ll be looking for another hibachi place to frequent.

The girl at the main desk was not kind. We had a reservation but we had to wait about 25 minutes until we started to order the drinks. The experience until that moment was not the best but then, chef Daniel gave us a funny show and very well cooked food. He was so kind and made us feel comfortable.
I would recommend supervise customer service at the front desk for having a wonderful experience from the beginning.

Front desk lost my reservation although it was recorded. They never checked on me and after much waiting, they managed to fit us in at a table of small children's birthday party.
The server was doing his best but never really served our needs. The chef was not very entertaining. He did his work but was very quiet.
Overall, food was delicious and we made the best with the kids and parents. We hoping for more romantic.

It was my boyfriend and I anniversary. We had a reservation. They seated us very quickly! We had a great cook! Showed allot of cool tricks that i was able to record. It was our first time there. We will definitely be going again! I have told many friends and family about you guys!

Food was delicious, generous portions, good pricing for lunch. Our only complaint was that our server did not keep up with our drinks and was slow with our checks. We will go back again.

Fun but we had to wait even with a reservation and why do they insist on shoving extra people into your party even when you have 7 without others. It's awkward. Food is just okay. Service for drinks was especially slow on Friday night.

I have been here many times and i always make reservations to come here,this time the front desk manager was just extremely rude for no reason and didnt even crack a smile,having a bad day is understandable but i dont think the customer should ruin his night for that....

We had a large group and a reservation so we got sat promptly. Our server was not the best. Had to ask for lemons 3 times and then she rushed me to get my credit card out while I was conversing with my friend. The food tasted good but my chicken was very over cooked. They did accommodate my request for no rice and extra veggies so that was good.

Had 730 reservations. Sat us at 7:40 and the hibachi chef didn’t come to our table until 8:50!!!! Hector, the hibachi chef was told it was my sons bday. He didn’t do anything to acknowledge his bday. We actually watched the table in front of us because the chef was so entertaining. The table was laughing and having fun like you’re suppose to . Our table was quiet and all the chef did was cook with a serous face. The chicken was dry and over cooked . We will never eat here again . When we complained to the front of the house lady about how late it was and we had two small children, she was rude and said that they are short cooks and everyone else is waiting too. Wasn’t apologetic or sensitive to the fact that they were at fault. We chose Kanki for a special. Day dinner and was so disappointed.

My chef, Hector, was absolutely amazing. I personally request him every time I go to Kanki now because he is by far the best cook at the restaurant in my opinion.

Just for the experience. Food wasn’t seasoned well,vegetables could have been cooked longer. And steak over cooked
