   They couldn't accommodate our reservation request appropriately. Our party ended up split up in 4 different areas. It was silly. But our service was awesome and the band was fun.

    Other than my filet being a bit over cooked, the food was very good. Service was slow, but the servers were very cheerful and friendly. Beef barley soup was so good we got some to take home. Great value for two steak dinners! So pleased that I just made reservations again.

    Ryan, Whitney, Christine, Megan and Crystal are always attentive and helpful. Other staff like Emma and Brittany we just met. A few we know, but not their names. Food delicious and overly generous.

    I very rarely leave reviews but I felt compelled to write this one. We attend Trivia on Monday nights so at one time or another we have had all the servers wait on us. They are all very nice and very capable. But Jonathan is head and shoulders above them all. His level of service is exceptional. He basically anticipates your needs so you never have to ask for a thing. No matter how shorthanded the staff is Jonathan never gets flustered and is always nearby keeping an eye on you or checking in on you. In my opinion his level of service is more indicative of a server you would find in a high-end Downtown Chicago restaurant. Jonathan would make a fantastic Manager and would be a great role model for other servers. (Also he is the only server who actually brings an ice tea spoon when serving ice tea.)

    We have eaten at Kankakee Grille several times and have always commented afterward how good of a place this is. The quality of the food is excellent. The menu is relatively short but contains a nice range of options.

    As always the food was delicious. I probably should have gotten my rib eye medium well done. It was not as tender after requesting well done. It was still good, but not great. I’ll know next time. The mashed potatoes, broccoli and Ceasar salad was great.

    I ordered perch and had to settle for blue gill. The tartar sauce was garlicy, no they did not have any other option. Also the cole slaw was not to my liking, no substitutions. Not very flexable.

    It took over an hour for our main course meal to arrive. When It did everything was cold! They took it back to the kitchen and 15 minutes later we had new meals. The steaks and the potatoes were great but the broccoli was still cold. By this time we had already been there 2 hours and just wanted to eat so we ate cold Broccoli.

    Service and restaurant decor excellent. Seating is comfortable but temperature a bit chilly. Soup was excellent but other food was just ok and temperature of main dish just warm. Will try a different main dish next time.

    My order was not correct when they brought it out. I told the staff right away. It took at least ten minutes to bring out the correct food. By then my wife was half done with her meal. Nobody even apologized and we got charged the full price. The food was not worth the price they charge. At best it was ok.
