We had a delightful experience. Excellent server who patiently explained several items (our 1st time). We're eager to return.
Nice Ambiance and amazing service. Food is excellent, make sure to reserve your spot ahead of time as they are always busy. I would greatly recommend this place to my friends.
Delicious authentic indian food with a special new flair. Fresh food prepared flavorfully and perfectly cooked.
Always an amazing experience at Kama! I’ve been coming to this restaurant for 7 years and the food is just as good as every time!
If you want amazing Indian food then you have to come here. I’ve gone to other places and the food was good but not as mouth watering as Kama’s dishes.
Great buffet on Mother’s Day. A little expensive but it’s the day! Dark inside. Needs to be lightened up. Outside was very pleasant.
This restaurant never disappoints. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. Kama Bistro elevates Indian cuisine into a fine dining experience. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious and I cannot believe how infrequently we go. Always an amazing time. I stepped outside of my comfort zone of chicken tiki masala and tried the veal vindilo (sp.) and was very impressed. Excellent job!
Everything was terrific! Wonderful and creative Indian food and great atmosphere!
Been here many times, including regular take out customers. Tonight was a touch disappointing. Our main course meal included Chicken Masala. It was like warm at best! We did inform our waitress, she apologized and would said she would let the kitchen know. We asked for the rest to be boxed up so I could have at home at a temperature more appropriate. Normally this restaurant is 100% on! This time not.
Great food, friendly service
We love eating at Kama Bistrot. The food is always good!
Our server was fantastic! She has served us at prior visits to Kama Bistro and know’s the menu and is ALWAYS friendly and professional.
Friday evening was quite noisy — will come during the week in the future!
Despite the confirmed reservation through OpenTable, I was told to wait for 5 mins, that turned into 20 mins, at that time upon inquiring how much more time to wait, the chef/owner rudely told me that he can't kick people out just like he won't do it to me. Wow! after 10 more minutes, i get table (30 mins after a confirmed reservation).
For dinner, not single item was up to the mark.
1. Samosa - too oily inside.
2. Chiken Vindaloo - very creamy with red peper flakes for spicy, instead of a vinegar and black peper based sauce.
3. Black Pepper Lamb - Again creamy with no hint of black pepper taste. - This used to be their signature dish, but absolutely not worth ordering.
4. Lacha parantha and Tandoori roti - cooked on high heat, so outside is cooked, but inside tough and doughy.
I am all for praising good food, but clearly the quality and over experience is gone way down at this restaurant.
The very best, and freshest, high- quality, upscale, Indian food I've ever eaten... and I've eaten at many, many, Indian restaurants.
I'm fantasizing my next meal there!
The food was all delicious, from the appetizers and cocktails to the main dishes. Our server was very helpful in explaining unknown ingredients to us and in finding non-spicy options for some in our group who don't care for heat in their food.
The food was very good and the service was attentive but not overbearing. The noise level was conducive to table conversation. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Delicious modern Indian dishes of beautiful food and a sleek yet comfortable environment.
I absolutely love this place. It’s one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever experienced. Brilliant, refreshing, modernized takes on ancient cuisine.
It was my first time eating Indian food and the waitress was very helpful. I enjoyed the food and the overall experience very much.
Lovely food and lovely presentation..I wish the food had some spice element. It is mainly for American crowd. Also we made a note for special request bit no one took care of that
Fantastic. We love Kama Bistro. The food is delicious, really outstanding. Thank you, Chef! I'm partial to the lamb shank nihari which was drop off the bone tender in a marvelous sauce. This was the first time coming on a Saturday night (be sure to make reservation early) and it was packed. We expected service to be backed up but were amazed at the fast service and attention we received from our waiter, Jeremy. Thank you for that, Jeremy, and thanks to the kitchen and bus staff who must have operated with top efficiency to deliver the food on order. I left off one star on Ambiance because the room was quite loud and it was sometimes difficult to talk at the table. Other than that, it remains a major go-to place for us in our home town.
I took my for dinner on her birth day. The food is okay for some one who may not have tasted Indian Food. For us , it was not. The Samosa was excellent. Nan didn't have the right taste profile . It was more on the chewy side and or rubbery. Lamb Chop was good. Kerala Fish Curry didn't meet our expectation ( may be because ) we are from South India. We know the taste of traditional Fish curry. Overall good
Kama Bistro never disappoints they are always wonderful. Great food, fantastic service, great bar. Very vegetarian friendly with wonderful carnivorous offerings as well. I come from a half vegetarian half carnivore household. Hard to find really wonderful places for everyone. Kama Bistro does it with aplomb. Ask for Adan if you get the chance. All their servers are wonderful but she is the best! Every time!
Kama has been consistently outstanding for years. Had a unique and delicious sea bass dish that complimented the eggplant side we ordered. Lamb taco appetizer is not to be missed.
We always love Kama. The food was delicious as always. I do feel like the prices have gone up a bit and portion sizes were smaller. They didn’t give us much rice and didn’t even add a little for our leftovers, which they have done in the past. All that said, we’ll still be back. So yummy!
Excellent cuisine, ambience and service! Had some great Indian food after a while! Keep it up.
Amazing food as always and great service!
This place has a small and crisp menu which is tasty and the food is full of flavor. The owner and the staff are so friendly and patient.
Best Indian food in Chicagoland!
A great Indian find in the southwest suburbs. Not your typical Indian restaurant, but overall a delicious fusion of flavors. The mussels are over the top, especially if you order naan to scoop up the flavorful tamarind sauce. The mixed seafood Tandoori grill is exceptional and cooked to perfection - spicy but not too spicy. The portions are perfect for sharing and the cocktail menu is fun and inventive. The service was a bit rushed but we were hungry and not planning on lingering so it was perfect for the occasion.
I frequent this place as the food never fails to impress. Always leave satisfied and pleased with my meal selection. If you are looking for great Indian flavor..... well worth the trip.
Went for LaGrange restaurant week and as a table, we all selected the special menu so we could try a bit of everything. There was a absolutely nothing to complain about. All was delicious. I got to have my favorites at the special price. You must try the lamb tacos!
Outstanding authentic great food!. We’ve been coming since the restaurant first opened.
Kama Bistro is very good ethnic food (India' origin) in an upscale setting.
Entrees, appetizers and sides are all suitable for sharing and the menu has a fair amount of grilled items for all tastes. Tandoor lamb chops and grilled chicken were perfect. We were happy to see that Kama Bistro was busy and has found a niche in the area. Highly recommended for Indian food.
Good food, quick service. However very less vegetarian options
No matter what I try on the menu, (and I have been here enough to try lots of things), everything is incredibly flavorful. There are layers of flavor, and complimentary, complex sauces. We love this place!
Always a great meal to share with friends. The sauces are amazing and the ingredients fresh. I would highly recommend this as fusion Indian fare.
So delicious and authentic. Food is always amazing at Kama, and the service is perfect. That’s why it’s become one of our favorite Friday or Saturday dinner spots!
Noise level was bit high, the Okra dish was fabulous.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable. The environment was relatively quiet. The busier it got, the louder the noise level. The food was good. I felt It was a bit pricey for a lunch bufffet.
