Kaluz Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Can’t go wrong with this place, we go then when ever we’re in town. It never disappoints. The food, service and location is fabulous. Love to sit outside on the patio and watch the boats on the intercostal. You have to try the Thai Noodle salad, it’s to die for. The prices are a little high, but comparable with the area. It’s very upscale and well worth the money and trip. They also take resvations. Can’t wait to go back!
Upbeat atmosphere, somewhat hectic scene but very good food and attentive service. Valet parking was a mess, crowded and slow (they misplaced my keys and mistakenly said my car was on the way when I had been waiting 15 minutes) but maybe that’s just because it was a busy Friday night.
I have been to Kaluz at least 10 times in the past 6 months. The setting is lovely and usually the food is very good, but not this time. I ordered the special red snapper and it was full of bones and very dry. The service was very rushed. I felt the server could hardly wait to turn the table. We had a $300.00 dinner bill and had the bill in 45 minutes..... yes we did have drinks but no coffee or dessert. We wanted to sit and talk for a few minutes but the server came back 4 times to see if there was anything else we wanted!! Very rushed. We won't be returning soon!
We enjoyed sitting outside by the water and the romantic ambience. The service was great, the cocktails the best we had had all week in Lauderdale by the Sea.
Both my husband and I loved the Ceviche appetizer, but were both disappointed by the saltiness of our entrees. If we ever get back there, we would ask for it to be prepared with little or no salt ....
All in all it was a great end to our vacation.
Place is attractive. Sat outside on the deck below the bar, on the water. The view is nice because it's on the water, but not great. Service was fine. Tuna tartare was good but used too much avocado as filler. Flat bread with sausage and peppers and balsamic vinegar was not a good combination of flavors. The calamari had a ginger lime sauce that my husband liked more than I did. Drinks were good. Would give it a second chance.
Noticed the restaurant several times coming from beach area said had to stop in and eat there been twice in one month.love the view Waite staff very friendly. Went to bar ordered the best chocolate martini food great and bread pudding for dessert awesome. I will be back soon
The seating inside a two person booth was tight and close to the entrance. But it was the best they could do. The pork chops were over cooked and a bit tough. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Drinks were reasonably priced and the red wine was served at the perfect temperature.
Kaluz has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. Best Chilean Sea Bass you will ever have, best mussels, amazing calamari. Everyone in my party could not stop talking about how great the food was. The decor is beautiful and the intercoastal views are amazing.
We had a table by the window facing the water ,eventough we wanted outside, this was even better.Since it was a bit hot that night. Jeremy our server was superb, calm, friendly, not rushed at all ,( the place was buzzing ).
The Duck Confit was amazing, tender, juicy and great presentation, dessert with no candle as requested ( it was my birthday),the bread pudding ,delish !!
Looking forward to return with my boyfriend next time !!
Kaluz is a Ft. Lauderdale "go to" for our "crew." Valet service with limited area parking is excellent. Front of house is always on top of the crowd and are excellent at moving people into the property and getting them set up. Service is attentive, predictable, and helpful when ordering. Menu has good variety from light bites to full meal. Bar is well manned with a group that seem to be able to "whip up" just about anything you can throw at them. Prices are fair and reasonable, particularly given the intracoastal location. We go back about once a month and have yet to ever be disappointed.
