Kaluz was a must try on our list of things to do in Fort Lauderdale. It came highly recommended and was delicious! The service was great, the food was great and the valet parking was an added bonus. We would have loved to have been able to sit outside but even with a reservation it was an hour long wait so we decided to sit inside.
Place is pretty. Food and service were excellent. It didn't hurt that we sat outside on one of the nicest days in Florida. 😀
Been to this restaurant once before. And because of that, brought a friend for the first time to try it out. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! The food was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to to go again soon. Definitely worth the drive. Right on the intercoastal. Beautiful!!
My company had a nice view of the water, however my view was of the storage area for the patio's unused furniture and outdoor heaters. The veggie burger was cold. Shouldn't the cheese that is not melting on top be an indicator that it is not ready to be served? The shrimp/goat cheese/date flatbread pizza had sparse toppings. I think one popcorn shrimp was minced and a single piece placed on each slice. Since the bread was burnt, I scraped off what little toppings there were and got two bites out of it. The cocktail was good.
Always reliable. Good food in pleasant surroundings.
When we arrived they had the note I sended for a table on the canal which we got , impeccable service and the food was excellent .
The best restaurant around here and they are far from all others ,keep it that way and stay the best .
Beautiful restaurant. Food is good although Prime rib was bland.
This is our second visit and we loved our food and service both times. Our server was Kevin (both times) and he did an amazing job. Love the key lime pie!
Good food. Good wait staff. Very nice ambience.
Great waiter food and everything.
This was our second visit to Kaluz, and it didn't disappoint! The wait staff was attentive and responsive. The food was excellent, hot and fresh and as described. Terrific bread pudding dessert, and their burgers and steaks are wonderful.
great view, thoughtful staff and beautify served food
4 star and here is the reason.
Food and Dining Experience was fantastic! Great service, great food, love the environment however, our only concern was the wait time. I had a reservation in advance for 9:45 pm, my friend and I did not get seated until 10:30 pm. Longer then 30 - 45 minutes wait time for a pre-reserved table is not an optimal experience for any visitors.
I love this place, food was great, excellent service. Just the right place for a special dinner.
The food was great but could not get a seat at the bar we felt like the food was thrown at us would not come back on a Saturday night
Kaluz has been my favorite restaurant in Fort Lauderdale since it opened. The food, the ambiance, watching the boats go by, outdoor drinks before dinner, absolutely delicious meals and bread pudding for dessert!!
Restaurant was insanely busy. We opted to give up
Our inside reservation to sit outside but waited from 615pm until 750pm for a table in the dark...
Had a great meal, girls night out. Our Server Kevin was terrific attention to detail attentive but did not rush our meal. The wine was great also and of coarse the dessert delicious 😋 will recommend to friends.
Our favorite restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. Great for dining or entertaining out of town guest.
Had a wonderful meal with friends at KALUZ: the waiter was very friendly, knowledgable and made us feel welcome. The scenery was gorgeous and all our dishes just WONDERFUL. I had the fish sandwich, and others ordered the chicken salad with quinoa and the tuna. The appetizers were delicious as well: shrimp escargot style and Calamari
Other than the wait time for an outdoor table, the dining experience was excellent.
Great atmosphere, food and service!!
The manager Erica is so professional and so nice. Great asset to this restaurant
The food was above average. We had salmon and crab cake entrees, each served with wild rice and asparagus. They were decent but not special despite the descriptions on the menu. The appetizers were better than the entrees, particularly the shrimp cargot, a truly innovative take on the traditional snail dish down with small tender shrimp. We sat inside but could see the water and boats passing outside. Spend an afternoon or evening boat watching and enjoyed by appetizers and some rose.
The food and service is excellent, as usual. Kaluz consistently meets my expectations.
Birthday for myvdaughter. We gad hoped for patio dining however the waiter has given us the info as ti “how” for next tine
Food was excellent service prompt. But was seated next to party of 8. With 3 uncontrolled kids. Running around the table. Manger called over 3 times with no effect. Glad to never go back. Not worth the expense.
Reliable as usual. Good staple with delicious food, beautiful view and varied menu.
Birthday dinner for my husband, also the first time we had been to the restaurant. The server wasn’t very friendly and didn’t make us feel all that welcome. Food was good.
The restaurant had amazing views, ambiance and service. Our waitress was great.. Cocktails are very good and reasonably priced. The food is poor and on the expensive end for what it is. Had an extremely bland filet that seemed to be cooked in a broiler like at home which the peppercorn sauce couldn't save with broccoli drenched in oil that had no flavor. My date had salmon which literally just had thick mustard brushed on top very rough tasting with forgettable green beans. For an appetizer we had tuna tartare which was ok with stale chips. The whipped cream dessert was delicious. Great place to grab a drink but not for dinner.
We went for our anniversary dinner, our waiter Alex was awesome and the food was delicious.
Food is always AMAZING!! And perfect date night.. with a nice water view outside
Love this place! best of all we love about living is south Florida
We took out of town guests for dinner this afternoon. The initial experience was excellent and the two appetizers were pleasant. Our three filet mignons and filet kabobs came with utter displeasure. All of the steaks were beyond well-done and the waitress was no where to be found. Eventually complained and to our amazement, no appearance from the manager. As for patronizing this establishment in the future, I would rather visit a restaurant named Klutz.
All three of us had the filet . It was delicious. Very tender .
Very enjoyable. Food, service, ambiance all very good.
I've been a frequent patron of Kaluz for years. I decided to have a get together with family friends so I made reservations for four people 2 weeks in advance. When we arrived at the hostess area, we were brought to an awful table in the inside bar which was extremely noisy, dark and cramped. Why have reservations for 4 people and stick them in the bar area? Immediately after we sat down other parties that arrived just after us were taken directly into the dining area. Total bummer. Food that night was fair and for what they charge it should have been much better. We will not be going back for some time. Our server was kind and no issues whatsoever. Just a total disappointment to bring friends who live out of state with reservations made 2 weeks prior to be stuck in the bar. Totally disappointing.
Always a good meal.
Food is great but almost impossible to be on the patio even after a 8 day reservation.
Ambiance and noise level are different.
Great restaurant. Wine list is good. Food was delicious. Waterfront dining was perfect. One of the nicest things is that they don't rush you. They let you enjoy your meal and the atmosphere. Highly recommend for any occasion or just a lovely night out!
Kaluz is my favorite restaurant in the area. The Chilean sea bass is wonderful and their key lime pie is the best in town. The wait staff are professional, as are the hostesses and the valet. Wish we could go there again, but heading back home in a few days.
