Food was delicious and service was excellent. However, dining inside does not compare to my experience dining outside. Dining outside makes the experience!
It was generally good but they got my entree wrong.
Great food, nice ambiance, great service.

It was a very bad experience. The rest was good
Jennifer, our server was very attentive. First time diner I'll be back.
Definitely was worth the drive from Miami to Fort Lauderdale to meet out of town Friends halfway. We have dined here previously and have enjoyed ourselves once again. The service was very attentive and the food was tasty as well as the cocktails. Nice selection on the menu and outdoor dining too.
Good meal with great atmosphere. Slow kitchen and inattentive waiter.
Kaluz is a fun dining experience. The Zagat review piqued our interest so we made reservations. The restaurant is located on Commercial Blvd right on the intracoastal waterway and boasts a stunning outdoor eating area along the waters edge. The outdoor tables are first come-first served so cannot be reserved. But the tables inside overlook the water, the bar area or kitchen, which all offer interesting views. The food is outstanding. We started with grilled octopus and tuna tartare, both of which we absolutely recommend. The octopus was perfectly tender and tasty while the tuna had a scrumptious, light dressing topping avocado. For our entrees we got the Chilean sea bass with artichokes, set on asparagus, always a favorite and this was superb, and the Thai salad with spicy shrimp. Generous portions so we took half the salad home. We will definitely return. The food was truly wonderful.
The frustrating part of dining here started with nearly required valet parking. If you want valet parking you’re golden. But they don’t make it easy to park yourself. There is parking along the inside edge of Commercial Blvd, but we had to ask where we could park. The restaurant is very popular so we had to wait a short bit to be seated while they found more menus. Not really an issue, but I thought I’d mention it. Our server was pleasant enough but we felt rushed throughout the meal. The server kept saying our food would be right out and we always said we were in no hurry and wanted to enjoy a leisurely meal. But we hadn’t even had our starter plates removed when our meals came out. The white Viognier wine we ordered arrived @ room temperature and had to be chilled in a stand-up plastic bag with ice, set on the table, before we could drink it. Once chilled, the wine was a perfect compliment to our meals.
Overall, our impression was good. The food alone is worth coming back to try again. Hopefully next time we can get a table outside and enjoy a relaxed evening dining on the water.
Our server, Zach, and his team were amazing. We had the sea bass, a veggie burger and tried four different red wines. The grill makes all the difference.
Lovely restaurant with consistently good food and service. The mussels are always delicious and the salads are fresh and plentiful. We enjoy the view - watching the boats float past.
Great place to bring friends and out of town guests.
Loved it. Some food items better than others but would definitely go again
We were able to sit outside. It was beautiful. Ordered a salad and the Filet Mignon to share. Had drinks and wine also.
Steak came rare, not medium. Others arrived and ordered after us and got their meals before us. It just seemed that the service was not very attentive. I'm sorry about that because I was really excited to go and have dinner there.
Amazing Service and food.
Amazing as always. Out waitress is the best.
I had the Seabass and it was outstanding! Our waitress was excellent as well. Will definitely be back.
This lovely restaurant has a good menu with varied options. The atmosphere is very pleasant and picturesque.
Kaluz has been one of our favorite restaurants since it opened a few years ago. Service and food have always been top quality. Ambiance is excellent.
Food great and the staff were awesome! Our server was exceptional and recommended the sea bass. We all loved it.
Excellent find! I had the mahi tacos and they were some of the best I’ve had. The view of the Intracoastal is beautiful and the service was great. Will definitely return!
Everything was quite good.
Food was awesome. Service was great. My only complaint was that it was very cold. I would have ordered desert but I was too cold and wanted to get outside
After a short wait to get a table outside, we were seated at a nice table with a great view. The kids orders were a great value and both enjoyed their meal. My wife ordered the Bistro salad which seemed like the greens were dressed long before being served. She didn't care for it at all and sent it back. I ordered a burger which was good but not the medium requested. My wife had a veggie burger as a replacement which was better but still very mushy and had a weird smoky flavor. My mashed potatoes were good and her quinoa salad was also tasty. The kids meals included a scoop of ice cream that they enjoyed. Our server was excellent and the manager that was outside was also very helpful. Sadly, the food didn't live up to the service and ambiance.
Second time we’ve been to Kaluz and both visits were EXCELLENT. Quickly becoming our favorite place for a nice dinner. Thank you
Great service, great environment, allows for a relaxing evening.
Great meal. Fabulous view. Service was excellent!
Kaluz is one of the best restaurants in Ft Lauderdale. The atmosphere, food and service is outstanding. We have been to the restaurant about ten times and have never been disappointed in any way. The pricing is in line line with out Ft Lauderdale restaurants. This restaurant is a must when in Ft Lauderdale.
Come to Kaluz every time we are in Florida...great food served with flair in a beautiful setting overlooking the Intercoastal waterway. Don't miss the shrimpscargo, crab dip, scallops pomegranate and filet mignon. Love the wait staff, friendly and efficient. No one rushes you which is key! Can't wait to our next visit!
Great restaurant and quality food is one of my favorites and will continue to be...
Love this spot. Great food and beautiful location.
Wonderful modern place on the water/inland with beautiful views! Love watching boats go by while having drinks & dinner. Food is excellent & the staff was pleasant. By far my favorite place to eat in Fort Lauderdale!
I've really enjoyed my experiences at Kaluz! The first time was a date night and it was the perfect ambiance...with the wonderful outdoor patio, on the water. Great watching the boats go by....while conversing. The food was excellently prepared and the service was really great the first time. On my second visit, it was almost just as flawless, except that the service was a bit slower. I would definitely recommend this spot to friends, with the assumption that service would be consistently great.
Top notch! Great food! Great service! Just a wonderful dining experience!
Kaluz is always consistent. I can order my favorites and they are just as good every time. The service, staff and ambience are wonderful. Most of the time I go there for lunch but can recommend dinner too. If you have a large group, there are several options for seating. I have had a book club meeting there and a Mah jongg group Christmas party. Always enjoyable and yummy!
I have lost count as to how many time we have eaten at Kaluz. Food and service is amazing and sitting on the intracoastal is always pleasant. We will surely be back again!!!
Much much better! Food delicious and service was excellent!
My husband and I sat on the patio - table location was okay, but the food was delicious and the service was great! You cannot reserve patio seating (first come), however, so we went to the bar to wait. We didn’t even get both our drinks at the bar before our table was ready. Service was fast (a little too fast for us) - it was a Monday- but it was busy. We did continue our evening back at the bar and overall had an enjoyable evening. We would go back if in Ft Lauderdale again.
Our first experience at Kaluz has a mixed review. The hostesses working the front were very nice and though we had a reservation offered us to wait 30 minutes for a table outside or we could be seated right away at a table inside. We were starving so we took inside! Our food at Kaluz was amazing. We ordered the smoked salmon dip for an appetizer which was very fresh. For entrees my boyfriend had the pork chops which were tender and delicious, I had the crab cake which was also delicious. For dessert we had the hot apple cobbler with ice cream. The only thing that killed our vibe of the restaurant was the fact I had to ask for the features of the evening from our waitress, Ariel, they weren’t automatically introduced to us and we felt like she really didn’t pay attention to us our water was refilled once by another server and again because we asked her. She had three tables, it seemed that she paid more attention to the couple who ordered a bottle of wine for their table than us who only preferred to drink water this evening. Leaving the restaurant, the door was opened for us and when we told the woman “thank you have a great evening” she replied “mmhmm” ok, maybe we shouldn’t have said anything at all then. Good food though!
Good food, scenic waterfront views and great service!
I love this place! The ambiance is amazing and the food is great!
