De-lish! Looking forward to dining there again real soon! Jessica, our server, was top notch! Thanks.
Always an enjoyable experience. Ambience, food and service very good.
My wife went on a date to celebrate a new step in our lives. Service was great! Food was excellent! Steaks cooked perfectly, moist and delicious. And seating right on the channel. It does have a high end price mark, but is well worth it!
Hadn't been to Kaluz for a while. Had a wonderful experience. All staff was friendly and helpful and our waiter, Ryan, was the best ever. Food delicious, which was why we wanted to go back, and didn't disappoint.
Sat outside on pretty patio with water view. Lunch was delicious! Server (Andrew) was friendly and attentive!
Awesome! Food, service.... every was super!
We enjoy sitting outside watching the boats pass by. The food is always good
Friendly professional staff
On Open table
There were 4 if us. The ladies had the chopped salad and declared it very good. Their mains were yellow tail special $37 and a bowl of mussels, respectively . The yellow tail was mediocre and the mussels reeked. By reeked I mean smelled like horse manure. They were rejected and replaced with rib roast and mashed potatoes. They were described as excellent.
The gentlemen ordered a chicken, mushroom and corn chowder and tomato and mozzarella salad, respectively. The chowder looked very good, although the question “where’s the chicken” was asked by the diner. His pork chops and mashed potato main was generous and very good. More than he could finish. The other main was a 6 or 8 oz. crab cake $35. Half of it was bread or other filler. Very disappointing offering and the remoulade sauce was not New Orleans quality either. That dish is undeserving of the name crab cake.
Two desserts, key lime pie and salted caramel brownie with vanilla ice cream were very good. There were no alcoholic beverages and only a sprite and the before tax and tip cost (which included the more expensive rib roast main) was $185. The server was superior, location in a booth facing the water was reasonably quiet. First time we were not totally satisfied with the food and it’s preparation.
Thank you for a nice evening
The light over our table was out. It made eating difficult once the sun went down. My client's steak wasn't cooked correctly. Service was excellent.
Direct on the inter-coastal the views are great and the service is too
A friend recommended Kaluz so we decided to go for our anniversary. I knew it was on the water and we wanted a place with a view. Our waitress was wonderful and made excellent suggestions. Dinner was delicious and we had a gorgeous view. We’ll definitely be returning!
Our second visit to Kaluz, this time to celebrate my wifes birthday. We reserved on open table and our view request was honored. Family of five and we shared two steaks, the NY and the Rib Eye, both were prepared perfectly, very tender, delicious as we expected. Service was excellent as well. Had a great bottle of Red Zin I had not tried before. Our server helped with that selection.
We had some condensation dripping on our seat from the AC vent above and the manager came by, offered to move us but we stayed, and she comped us with an appetizer on the house, which was very nice of her. It was a very humid day so understood the problem.
Be sure and hear what the daily specials are. They have a fantastic grilled artichoke appetizer that isn't on the menu.
Love everything about this restaurant; I visit every time I’m in FL! The food is super delicious for a great price and the portions are monstrous 😍
The best quality food for the price with a fantastic view food always comes out cooked perfect
The wait staff, atmosphere, food — everything was excellent. Just wonderful highly recommend the sea bass !!!!! Definitely going back on my next visit.
It was a bit over priced forthe quality. Service was ok, nothing great. Good place just not worth the price
It was a beautiful place, and I enjoyed the food. Service was excellent and courteous.
Good experience for a nice midlevel restaurant.
Our server,Chris was great. He made my friend’s bday celebration memorable.
I food was excellent. The tuna tartar was very fresh and tender.
If I could mention one thing to change , it would be the shrimp with the yellowtail was way too salty and had a LOT paprika on it for my taste.
Comimos en la barra
Muy bien atendidos
I live in Virginia but I have family in Fort Lauderdale. Whenever I visit I have to go to Kaluz. It is my absolute favorite restaurant anywhere. I love the Tuna Tartare as appetizer and I love the scallops for entree. Actually I love everything I have ever had there. Oh my and let’s not forget the bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream. Everything is perfect with and at Kaluz.
Odd music for an upscale restaurant. They had 80s rock and some interesting choices. Food was good but steak wasn’t anywhere near what it should have been. Ordered medium-well got medium-rare or almost rare. Server tried to make up for it by comping desserts.
What a fantastic way to celebrate a birthday. A late night meal on the patio overlooking the water. A Fantastic and knowledgeable server, excellent food, and atmosphere made up for just average drinks. Absolutely a must do on the Fort Lauderdale restaurant scene!
One of my favorite restaurants particularly for special occasions & visitors. The food is great, the staff is terrific & the ambiance is wonderful. My husband & I always feel like we have been on vacation after spending as evening at Kaluz.
My wife had the signature dish, Chilean Sea Bass. She loved it. Pricey but it does come with a Caesar salad. I had the Snapper. Also very good. Wines are reasonably priced. Cappuccino was a nice way to end the meal. We sat close to the window and had a good waterfront view. Server was extremely attentive. Busy place so make a reservation. Worth going.
The ribs, and the sea bass was outrageous. Love this place
Our go to place for great food and ambience! Celebrated my father's 69th birthday. It's one of his favorites
Excellent service. Consistently delicious food. Comfortable seating. Good vibe.
Great for everyday or special occasions. Florida flair.
Service was Wonderful. View even from inside is delightful. Very reasonable prices on food and wine, food was fair. Nothing that I would have to have again but good. Jodi was a terrific server!
The meal was as delicious as always and the Quintessa wine was spectacular! Our server, Diana, is an absolute gem and could not have been more attentive to our dining needs and requests!
Jillian was outstanding.
She sincerely helped make our special moment.
It’s ok fish was not fresh place over priced you pay for the view.
Service was great.
My meal was average. This was my third visit and I don’t think I will return.
Our waitress was amazing, food was great.
Great food, nice water view very friendly staff. Great place for family and friends
BEAUTIFUL SETTING ON INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY. WAITER WAS ATTENTIVE BUT NOT INTRUSIVE. COCKTAILS WERE PERFECT. DESERT FANTASTIC. DOWNSIDE WAS THAT MY WIFE'S SNAPPER WAS WAY TO PIQUANT (NOT APPROPRIATE FOR SUCH A DELICATE FISH) AND THE SLOW ROASTED PRIME RIB, (ALTHOUGH COOKED PERFECTLY TO ORDER) WAS SO SALTY (AND I AM A SALT LOVER) THAT IT OVERPOWERED THE PARMESAN IN THE PARMESAN MASHED POTATOES. KALUZ IS A BEAUTIFUL SETTING FOR COCKTAILS, NOT SUCH A GREAT PLACE FOR DINNER.
Second time dining here. Great ambiance and our waiter Ben was great. Will definitely dine here again
