Always great food and service! The special recommended was outstanding!
We had brunch for the first time since reopening after COVID. Great COVID protections, good service and lovely meal. The rabbit confit flatbread was divine. Next time it will likely be my entire meal rather than a share plate. We enjoyed the brunch options, but they were not our favorite.
Wife and I took our three teenage boys. Fantastic lunch after mass on Sunday! Food was excellent, service was superb!!!
Super specials Great drinks Super service
The food would have been really good if it wasn't so salty!
We made a reservation for my husband’s birthday dinner. I added this detail to my reservation and also told the waiter. After finishing our meal we asked what desserts they had and he told us that the kitchen was closed. Normally a server would let you know that the kitchen was closing and ask if you would like to put an order in for dessert before, but this did not happen. Had this been our first visit to the restaurant we would probably not return.
The restaurant was empty, but for some reason they seated us directly across from the kitchen; which is a terrible view. The bright kitchen lights shine in your face during the entire meal.
We did go during the football game, so it was quieter than normal, which is what we wanted. Service and food were great. Our main dishes were the perfect combination of flavors drawing on different influences across the world.
I think it would be good if they had a candle or some sort of lighting on the tables, just to add to the ambience. It was a bit a dark where we seated. All we needed is a tea light of sorts.
It's good to have K Street back. They have come back with a nice Big Bang!
Chose this restaurant from online recommendations flavors were interesting & on point. The smoked tomato soup was amazing! We filled up on starters this time, but we’ll definitely be back to try a few of the entrées that peaked our interest.
Favorite place and the food is always good!!
This was an excellent restaurant--we loved our waiter, the wine and our delicious meal. My husband and I shared a salmon tartare starter that was out-of-this-world (I could have eaten several for my dinner and been perfectly happy) and we devoured the glazed Brussel Sprouts. Our waiter, Cole, did an amazing job and was attentive and friendly. Lastly, this is small, but I wish there had been candles on the tables which would have made the atmosphere a near perfect 10, but I'll hope that comes later! Thanks for a great night!
Everything was perfect. The meal was something I'd expect to get in New York or Chicago. We are so lucky to have a restaurant of this caliber in Baton Rouge!
Kalurah Street Grill is certainly a lot different from the old Chelsea"s. It's much more upscale, and the food and ambiance is excellent. The only downside is the parking.
Is wish the food was different. More
Choices or different choices would be better.
Absolutely outstanding. Despite their closure related to Covid since Spring, Kalurah hasn't lost its touch--delicious food, excellent service.
It is so nice to have Kalurah Street open once again! All of the food was top notch but the brussel sprouts alone are worth the trip! These are perhaps the most amazing Brussel sprouts you will have anywhere! We will be back soon!
Excellent, excellent food and very cool atmosphere
When we arrived at 6:30 there were several open tables, but it filled quickly and our waiter had trouble keeping up with drinks and food. Long waits for first cocktails, light dinner (small plates) and one dessert order. Shrimp/squash soup had little squash flavor. Very nice atmosphere.
Update 2/22/20 spoke to owner who explained issues with service and we appreciate the fact that he called. He was also very hands on the evening we had dinner. Will definitely try again when back in town.
Valentine’s Day! The ambiance was perfect, not very private but still had an intimate feel. Close to other tables. The food was delicious!!
Wifey had the Sensation Salad and Shrimp pasta dish, both very good. I had the wedge salad and the filet. Like my steak Pittsburg style and it was perfect. Will def do again.
Good food, fair prices, nice ambiance. Parking can be an issue. Our waiter made an error in our order, but this was quickly amended and management was apologetic. They have a large wine list and offer small plates for sharing.
Great meal with great friends. We had a large party they were great with adding places and food and service were fantastic.
We really enjoy going to Kalurah. The seating is comfortable and they can handle large groups. They have multiple seating areas and the bar/lounge area is especially comfortable. The wine list is extensive and the bar in the restaurant side is lively and prepares custom mixed cocktails. Always a good selection of beers. The food is outstanding. The chef is very creative with the dishes and each one is perfectly prepared with wonderful mixture of tastes and flavors. Our service is always professional and all the waiters are very knowledgeable about the menu and how the dishes are prepared. The only downside is the limited parking in that area. We will certainly continue returning to Kalurah.
Great atmosphere. Food very tasty. Service was good.
As good as anything I have ever had in NOLA. Calimari
The spicy fried chicken is tha bomb! Would also recommend tha salmon it was spot on!
The food was quite good, but the service was lacking, which ruined the dining experience.
A fantastic dining experience! Food, service and atmosphere were perfect.
Excellent choice for a celebration dinner &&& ONE disadvantage is the parking situation. Come early to get a spot.
Everything that we tried was delicious. Server was very attentive. This tucked away spot is not one to miss!
Service, not so good. Food, pretty good, especially the fried chicken. Very dark lighting so it was hard to read the menu.
Always a nice experience
Great food and service!!
Great night out with the girls.... so many food options on the table. The homemade carrot cake was beyond amazing. Great way to celebrate with friends.
Everything was fabulous!! We all (4 of us) ordered different dishes and each one was delicious! I know because I tasted each one! Their scallop entree is incredible as was the salmon, fried chicken and short ribs! We shared a ceviche appetizer and a couple of salads. All great!!
Good food. Good service
LSU Family Weekend. We dined with our Freshman daughter and her roommate and parents. It was a lovely experience. Great food. Beautiful restaurant and I love the funky location under the bridge. That area of town is trendy and fun.
The decor is beautiful, the service was excellent (Cole took great care of us), and the food was absolutely delicious! I will be returning with friends for brunch!
Good food with good friends. Enjoyed brunch
Great cocktails and very good food!
