Chef AZEUCHI trained in the art of Kaiseki Course cuisine in Japan for 16 years. Upon graduating
culinary school, he began studying Kaiseki Course at a hotel. When he turned 27, he became sous-
chef at Hotel Nogamiya.
While there, he participated in a Tokushima Culinary Contest, where he won first prize. When he
was 35 years old, he joined Tofu Kaiseki Restaurant as their head chef.
During this time, he also studied French cuisine for 3 years, training under a Head Chef who had on-
the-job experience working in a prestigious French fine dining restaurant.
Chef Azeuchi quickly became the sous chef in the restaurant. When Japanese Crown Prince
Naruhito - now known as
"His Imperial Majesty the Emperor"- made a royal visit to Kagawa Prefecture, Chef Azeuchi
entertained him with his beautiful dishes.

We happened to pick a night that my date and I were the only people at the Omakase. We both have experienced high end Omakase experiences in Japan, and this was every bit as amazing in taste, presentation, inventive ingredients and personal interaction with this artful, classically trained chef. Kaiseki Yuzu is highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic Omakase experience in Las Vegas, if not the entire west coast.

An evening to remember! Just when you think you might be at the wrong address, you are welcomed at the unassuming entrance by a hostess in a traditional kimono who ushers you into a world of soft music, culinary artistry, and tastes to tempt any palate. It was a relaxing evening with outstanding service and a dinner that was surprisingly filling. Be prepared to stay 2-3 hours, but it’s well worth the time!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A True Culinary Journey at Kaiseki Yuzu Dining at Kaiseki Yuzu was, without a doubt, the most exceptional Japanese tasting menu I’ve ever experienced. If you’re in Las Vegas and appreciate true culinary artistry, this restaurant is an absolute must. The level of preparation, precision, and detail from the chefs—who came directly from Japan—was nothing short of incredible. Each course was not only delicious but came with a thoughtful explanation: where the ingredients came from, how to enjoy them, and what elements to pair together. It was a full sensory and cultural experience. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked—but the Wagyu beef, sourced from their own farm with only 250 cows, was on another level. Rich, buttery, and unbelievably tender—easily the highlight of the night. To end the meal, the house-made vanilla ice cream was absolutely divine—smooth, creamy, and the perfect finish to an unforgettable dinner. Kaiseki Yuzu is a hidden gem and a true gift to the Las Vegas dining scene. An 11/10 experience I’ll never forget.

The experience was odd from the beginning. We walked in 10 minutes before our reservation. There was no desk to check in and no staff to greet us. We stood by the door since another party had already occupied the small waiting room. The hallway was very dark and narrow. If I did not provide my credit card info to the restaurant, I would just run away since it looked very depressed. The waitress finally showed up and took us to the kitchen. With our family and another 4 guests entering the kitchen and sitting in front of the chefs, none of them looked up and greeted us. No smile, no hello.... It was unusual for Japanese chefs to be cold and we never felt unwelcome at a Japanese restaurant like KAISEKI YUZU. Even though every dish was beautifully presented and very delicious, my husband didn't enjoy the experience because he disliked the messy kitchen which made us miss Kabuto that always kept the kitchen bright and neat, and the chefs were very friendly. KAISEKI YUZU is a once a lifetime experience for us and we won't be back.

We are glad you found the food beautiful and delicious. Thank you for the feedback on your first impression and the kitchen. We will ensure it is passed to the chef/owner.

We booked for 8:15 seating. Apparently, other diners canceled their reservation, so my husband and I were only 2 diners. 2 chefs and one server. They were attentive and explained each course, describing which region their ingredients are from and how they are preparing the dish. Each courses were all good but hand roll was my favorite (a lot of Uni inside!). Best part of this dining experience, however, has to be their service. Highly recommend.
