All Desserts - QAR 80. Why are desserts at the start of the menu - particularly in a 'Chinese' restaurant where desserts are often seen as an after-thought? Desserts are about childhood and reuniting with the emotions we felt chasing after and finally catching the ice-cream van / motorbike / bicycle / tri-shaw (depending on where & which era you're from). It's about our past, the carefree joy of youth, our traditions and where we are from. We've therefore incorporated ingredients which are significant to the Nanyang region. As you may not be from South East Asia and in recognition of your childhood, we've also made sure that there's lots of chocolate everywhere. Great food and presentation. Slight problem with reservation’s management. We called and the receptionist told us that they were fully booked. However it showed availability on open table and we booked online. When we arrived they only had 4 tables with customer - so definitely not fully booked.

Our experience at Kai's was wonderful. From the reception until we left the restaurant we were welcomed and taken care of with all the attention. The decoration and outdoor area are beautiful. We seated outside as the night was pleasant and we were served by Fábio who made sure that our experience was exquisite by commenting the dishes we choose, making suggestions, explaining the menu and paying attention to small details like bringing a wet tissue immediately when we dropped some hot chocolate on the table. The taste and presentation of the dinner was amazing. Definitely a restaurant to visit and recommend.

Kai Songbird is beautiful, easily one of the most scenic restaurants in Doha. Service was fantastic, as was decoration and ambiance. The happy hour cocktails and food were delightful, I just wish there had been slightly more quantities of both.

While I throughly enjoyed the ambiance and service at Kai’s songbird restaurant, I was not impressed with the food. It wasn’t bad, but I can’t say it was delicious, considering the cost of the dishes. The corn soup was extremely bland, the wasabi prawn tasted exactly like the dynamite shrimp from P.F. Chang’s, but for triple the price and must smaller portion. The Chilean sea bass was the best thing I had there, but it tasted like every other Chilean sea bass in other restaurants However, as mentioned in the beginning , the service was perfect and the restaurants decor was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed sitting outside.

My experience was amazing in everything from the food, ambiance and the most behavioral waiter. Except the reception team wasn't welcoming The 500 riyals transaction is not expected, even it not convenience payment method . also unacceptable in our Qatari restaurant attitude. I was asking for out door table there excuse is it payed reservation, were half of them till i left the restaurant was empty.

The dining room is simply stunning and a feast for the senses. Service was first class and fairly expeditious. The food was very nice but not the best I’ve had, especially at these prices. Overall a very positive experience and should definitely be tried at least once. Next time we might visit during daylight hours to enjoy the fantastic views.
