Everybody at this restaurant was so kind, attentive, and next-level energetic. They went out of their way to address our food allergy concerns and even offered to take a picture of our group for us outside of the restaurant! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Family ran restaurant with the best food and amazing service. The staff was super friendly and helpful, their English was appreciated. The food was all fresh, amazing ingredients. One of the best dining experiences ever. Love this place!

The restaurant is so small I highly recommend a reservation! I think we had at least 10 courses for dinner. They were all delicious! The staff were so helpful and fun! We loved every minute of our dining experience here and can’t wait to come back.

Such a lively place. Waiter was super courteous and helpful. Aside from a few loud and drunk “foreign” customers, the place was an almost flawless dining experience. The food was amazing and the prices were very affordable. Would definitely visit again.

The food, ambiance, and were all perfect. This was my favorite meal in Japan! The servers and owners are friendly and outgoing, which is not typical of Tokyo. That's why this place is so special! Do not miss a chance to visit this restaurant - it's one of a kind.

I went back for nostalgic reasons-one of the great memories from my earlier traveling days 15 -20 years ago. Today it's still bustling and fun and food tasty but I was surprised to find out I couldn't order any ala carte items because I booked it on opentable! well.... lots of apologies from the polite staff. otherwise, it's very popular with foreigners so you won't see many locals there.

Buzzy restaurant with great 8 course set menu (mainly seafood). The food was innovative and beautifully presented. The staff were help and spoke good English and were very helpful in suggesting alternatives due to my husband’s food allergy. Great value for such amazing food

*注意: もしもアラカルトメニューで頼みたいようならOpenTableで予約しないように！！！普段アメリカでOpenTableで普通にレストラン予約使ってますが、、、こういう事態は初めてでした。 OpenTableで予約した場合はコースメニューしか頼めないと言われ予約の際に書いてあったはずですと店員に言われ、、正直そんな細かいところまでわざわざみないし！店員も外国人客にはすごく気さくな対応してましたが日本語話す客には無愛想な感じでした、コロナ前にはよく言ってましたが久しぶりに行くとちょっと以前より店員の対応の質が随分落ちてました。 I used to love going this place. this was my first post covid visit and I felt somewhat different in service quality... may be it was just us. servers are all nice to for those English speaking customers. we are the only Japanese speaking customers and we felt we are sort of ignored... One important note! you only have option to order "Prefix Menu" if you order through OpenTable. No way to order from A La Carte selections unless you order on top of Prefix. this restaurant food is so much better order from "A La Carte" than" Prefix Menu". if you don't think about what to order, then fine using Openable but if you want to order on your own, DO NOT USE OpenTable, just call to make reservations.

Kaikaya by the Sea was by far my favorite of my dining experiences in this Japan trip. The servers were very attentive and energetic without being intrusive. The food was beyond delicious and was served in a pleasant pace - neither rushed nor slow. The fish for all the courses were very fresh, with the amberjack carpaccio, otoro sushi and sashimi from 9 types of fishes being highlights. I would definitely love to come here again on my next trip to Japan! Highly recommended!!!

Been here about 10 times since 2016 and it's always been outstanding. This time I reserved a table for 3, but my two companions came down on a flu, so I had to show up alone... the staff was very understanding and accommodating to me. The food is just out of this world, as is the sake selection. This is probably one of the best value you can find in Tokyo. One thing I like but that might turn off other people is the energetic vibe. The chefs are often communicating with each other in a loud voice, a kin to what you could hear on a market place. It's very charming to me, but if you get startled easy it might be a bit disruptive. Anyways, one of my favourite restaurants in Tokyo!
