First time here and the wow the fish was so fresh! The albacore melts in your mouth, can’t wait to come back
This is our local, best everyday sushi spot. Been coming here for well over a year or two and still diner here regularly. Fresh fish, amazing presentation and a nice selection of of something for everyone. The portobello appetizer is fantastic!
We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time but we were never seated. This is not the first time we've struggled with them honoring a reservation, but they don't seem to actually reference the reservations people make at all. It's still whoever walks through the door.
The negative.. even though we had a reservation we still ended up waiting for 30 min until a tabled cleared..
Th positive.. the food was very good, a lot better then what I expected, the waitress that was waiting on us was a superstar! She was on top of her game. I believe her name was Emeline.. other then the wait getting a table everything else was super fast and great..
Definitely recommend this spot if you are willing to wait a little extra..
Restaurant was noisy, food wasn’t that exceptional, and it was hard to get somebody to serve us.
Underwhelming experience. Food was poor to average and service was lacking overall. For this price point, expected much more.
Felt rushed to leave the restaurant as they were closing
Love the ambiance—beautiful decorations, not too loud, just-right lighting. Ryan was our chef, and we enjoyed his creative and thoughtful dishes. The staff was also friendly. Kaiju is now one of our favorite restaurants!
Food was not fresh and oily and just not good!
Order the omakase. They're super creative about what goes into the experience, and the food is great.
3 person experience, went on Saturday about 6:30pm not to busy seated quickly. We have had dinner here in the past and thought fish was fresh. This time it was not a bit gummy and not very tasty. Service was great but unfortunately sushi was not. We had a rainbow roll (good), halibut with ponzu (very old wife spat out), capacitó salmon and tuna, both not fresh, garlic edamame (good). A few pieces of shrimp sushi (cooked so decent). Maybe they had an off night.
The food isn't great, the fish is not great quality. The only thing that was half decent was the Toro. My wife and I had the Sushi Omakase and nothing tasted good, which is unfortunate. I will definitely not go back.
Loved it but they sang happy birthday to two tables while we were there, asking the whole restaurant to help, and it felt like a tacky chain restaurant.
KAIJU is a great sushi restaurant that I frequent often. Fish is always fresh and delicious and the chefs are friendly and fast!
Good neighborhood sushi spot. Will be back
This place is nice - free valet, at least when we were there at 6pm. The staff is nice as well. The fish tastes good but most of the special sushi descriptions start with crab, and many of them seem like the same elements in a different order, so not much variety.
Sushi is pretty good. Server recommended portobello mushroom appetizer, it was great. Food came out fast. Valet parking is free.
Amazing food
We always have a great time here and sitting at the bar. Emily is fantastic and our sushi chef is outstanding!!
Food was incredible especially for the price. Had some more unique menu items too. Definitely will return!
The food and attention was incredible! Thank you for having us and I look forward to trying out all of your other great rolls.
Great sushi and drink. The items that the server suggested were absolutely amazing and fresh. Very accommodating and attentive hosts. Like Arnold said, I’ll be back!
Great food. It is cozy and great service. A bit pricey but worth it.
Delicious and extensive menu! Artistic and very creative food presentation along with good service! Thank you!
It's all around a good experience. Not the cheapest place around but the sushi is fresh, good service, and good ambiance for a date. I do wish the tables were a little further apart though.
My daughter and I enjoyed the food and ambiance. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back.
The service was terrible. It took a time to get their attention to get a check, sit down, order food etc.... The worst was the desert. Who will serve the mochi ice cream by MISO SOUP CUP ?! It’s ridiculous. Very ROUGH service.
I won’t go this restaurant anymore.
Great service!!
Upon arrival we asked for a booth. There were several open however, the hostess said they were only for larger parties it was 8:30pm and the restaurant was half empty. I doubt there was going to big a big rush of large parties. I have dined here before and they happily gave us a booth every time. I thought it was really lame and a horrible way to treat customers. We decided to go somewhere else for dinner and the hostess could have cared less. I will never done at this place again. I will also encourage my friends to not dine there as well.
Emily is awesome. She always gives great service with a smile!
Sooooo good!! They also have happy hour which was fun. The parking is on tips which is really nice. Might just be one of my top three sushi spots!
Went for dinner- saw it had four stars on yelp, should honestly be 2-2.5. Service was horrible and took way too long to get the food. Asked for ponzu sauce and was given bbq sauce how does that even happen. Servers seemed to have no experience. Food was average, maybe even below average.
Horrible experience. From the moment we walked in the restaurant had this funky smell. We came here with my family for an early dinner right when they opened. The restaurant was empty and yet the service was AWFUL. Our waiter had no idea what he was doing and was just inexperienced. The sushi was also not good at all. The fish didn't taste fresh and we were extremely disappointed. It was also super EXPENSIVE considering the food and service were bad. Oh and they also automatically added a 20% service charge which they absolutely didn't deserve.
Will NOT be coming back.
Nice place, we were seated immediately but opted to go to the bar. The chefs were nice and fish is fresh, only negative was they did not have some of the items on the list but hey can’t have everything. We will go back and just let the chef pick what we eat.
Sushi is very good and fresh. Don't love the size of their rolls. They are hard to eat because they are so large.
Lunch was great! We asked for very little rice and they were very accommodating. There were only s few other diners , that was surprising as the food , service, and
bathroom were very clean. Priceless we’re very fair too.
We were there for Mother’s Day .. the service was pretty bad they weren’t even busy . Almost broke my tooth because there was something hard and sharp in my spicy scallop hand roll . Overall, the food was just not good
Service was quite slow.
Always good sushi there. The fresh sushi is very good - I even eat Uni there.
Best sushi I've had in years! Super-fresh, delicious...can't wait to go back.
