Don’t like it at all. The food was not good as I expected.
Inside was loud and noisy, they sited us outside and the noise in the mall was bad too. Outside the service was bad, it took a while for the drinks to come, but then the food came fast... but it wasn’t good... sad
Great staff and menu....memorable way to bring in the New Year!!
Delightful tasting menu with great cocktails and champagne. Service was very nice and knowledgeable as well.
It was great.. sitting outside feels like you’re in a mall...
Outstanding food, and service. The cocktails are as good or better than any in Miami and you will experience flavors you’ve never tasted before. Highly recommend.
Amazing food, super friendly staff and great ambiance
Flavor bombs. Highly recommend.
Not what expected
The waiter was really nice, the place is a little too dark, could have it a little bit clearer. The tables are so sticked to each other that my husband had to stand up and move his chair for another table to go threw the place. We payed $240 for the whole meal and we asked for the signature dishes, fondue and some other thing... I live in one of the culinary capitals of the world, really makes you feel dum when you pay that much for something that’s really worth $100 tops.
Our waiter Andrew was amazing! We will be returning on our next visit.
Food was great. But the outside table looks just like you are eating in a mall food court.
The service was terrible and the portions were tiny for the outrageous price.
Amazing time! The staff was super friendly, and the details about the menu and food really elevated the experience! They also had a waygu nigiri special that was out of this world!!
Too expensive for the food
I had very special clients in town and this is my go to place for an amazing experience.
The service was terrible for a resturant that was not busy. It took forever to get our food. Our server told us that our dish takes 15 minutes to prepare, it took 60 minutes. This should not happen. The resturant gave us a discount on our bill, but I didn't go there for a discount. I went there for a nice meal and good service.
Had the 8 course tasting menu and some of the items where bland, service was great
Food was excellent service needs to improve a little
Fabulous, as always!
Food and service was amazing. Very small place and the decor was beautiful
The tasting menu in the private room was fabulous!!! And the service was excellent!!
Server was amazing and hostess that greeted us was outstanding
Perfect for fun night with great food and service with girls. Amazing management and team. Thank you
We showed up for a 9:30 reservation and didn’t get seated til 10pm, but only after the bartender left to check on our table. Our server was beyond distracted and was literally running from table to table and we had to ask for our glasses to be refilled from the bottle we purchased that was on ice around the corner. At 11:10, we still had only gotten 2/5 plates we ordered. For the price you pay at this place, everything should be perfect. We eventually approached the manager and only then did we get the rest of our food. He comped our bottle of sake which was appreciated but honestly, the dinner was pretty much ruined. Too bad because the food was actually really good. Kudos to the kitchen but front of house staff and service were not on their game.
Very average food - significantly over priced. Classic miami hide the 15% service fee and add a tip line to the bill. No itemized bill. Calculating food items and backing out cost of drinks, 5 drinks = $100.00 which may not seem like a lot except that 3 were 1/2 pour level sake and 2 were 1.5 oz Suntory whiskey shots. Bad form folks. Have seen this Behavior before in Miami. Its the type of behavior that leads to short lived success.
Amazing food and service. Together with Ember two must hits in the design district.
Kaido was as exceptional as I expected from the master artist, Chef Kilgore. The ambiance was insane, the amazing attention to every single detail was staggering all of which pales in comparison to the level of the actual dining. The food is beyond any level of creativity I've ever seen, as inventive and creative as Alter with a singular focus on all aspects of the mean from visual, texture and aroma. This is a dining experience that cannot be missed. There may be some other excellent restaurants in Miami but none can compare to Kaido as it relates to total dining experience.
It was an amazing dining experience. The maitre d was so accommodating and welcoming. Our waiter Andrew was so knowledgeable about each menu item and drinks. We went with the Miami Spice with an add on of the short ribs which did not disappoint. Vibe was very cool and speakeasy lounge is a sure hit! Can’t wait to return. Thanks to Chef Kilgore who came by our table to say hello!
The food was excellent and also the service
I definable will be back
We went in for Miami spice, the server’s navigation through the menu and recommendations were on point. She suggested great “add ons” from the core menu. Also, the staff were excellent at explaining the dishes which we enjoyed!
The food was good, nothing to write home about. The portions were unbelievably small and very over priced, even with the Miami spice pricing.
Our server and SA were wonderful and down to earth. I’m pregnant and the server was so helpful in helping me figure out what to order.
Our favorite dish was the crab rangoon. We tried the uni fondue, the signature dish, and it was pretty good but wished that there were bigger chunks of uni in there, and more veggies for dipping. The SA brought extra bao for us, which we really appreciated because there was a lot of fondue left after we finished the veggies. The dumplings were another favorite, savory and satisfying.
Didn’t care for the manager or the crowd, extremely pretentious and obnoxious. The manager tried to tempt us with visiting the back room, which he said was closed but he would be happy to show us. The restaurant felt scene-y and club-like, even though it was mostly empty and in the middle of a mall. The music choice was odd as well, didn’t match the theme of the restaurant at all.
Noise was too much. But food was Ok. Service was excellent. Would give Kaido a second try.
We enjoyed our evening. Food was very good but different. Waiter was excellent. Not a place for the older crowd!!
I’m make this as brief as possible. The food was good enough. The waiter was terrible. I didn’t catch his name but he had a lot of tattoos that I can remember. There was a short woman that brought out the plates at one point. She might’ve been a chef. She was nice and had a good attitude. She was the one bright spot in the service. Actually the bartender from Croatia was nice also. So it was just our waiter who sucked. The place itself was alright but smaller than I imagined. The real deal breaker was how loud the music was. I had read the reviews beforehand that mentioned the music. But I chose to go ahead anyway since I like a place with energy on a Friday night. But this was ridiculous. You had to yell to hear the person next to you. How can you enjoy your dinner or your date when you have music blasting in your ear. And they keep the dj in a tiny box which was weird. I don’t know what’s going on here. the whole experience took away from what was pretty good food.
Although we had a reservation they informed us they only had seats at the bar or at cocktail tables outside which are not suited for dining. The bar is very uncomfortable to sit st as you can’t for your legs underneath due to their decorations. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. All of us are seasoned hotel managers, restaurant managers and chefs and know very well this is not how you treat reservations, if you don’t have space don’t take the reservation, or inform reservations they will be seated at a bar or cocktail table and let them decide before arriving. This restaurant group should know better!
Excellent the flavors were awesome, small portions good for the diet really enjoyed.... will come back
