Would have been nice with a selection of soft drinks and/or coffee included in the price
Very good. Great atmosphere! Kaia was a great restaurant to sit in and be in the atmosphere but far enough away to have a conversation.
Food, ambience and overal restaurant experience was great but service was a bit hectic.
Another amazing experience enjoyed by all
Nice team, available and helpful. Good menu, food was lovely. Would prefer to sit at a table rather than a bench. Nowhere to hang coats.
Not bad . Location very cahotic
The Ned is beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing. The service was good at Kaia but the food was lacklustre. The yam fries were good but everything else was ok (veggie omakase, black cod dumplings, aubergine and the broccoli tempura was terrible)! I would go to the Ned for drinks and try a different restaurant next time.
High standards nice venue. Would go again with wine choice very good. It’s a tad pricey but as special treat it’s good
Far too noisy! The Ned was absolutely packed; would not be going back in the evening.
Felt like I was eating at the airport-
Very much get you fed and out
Food are lovely, although choice are limited.
Birthday meal for a little, which she throughly enjoy the experience. Service from staff are good and attentive.
Amazing food, lovely ambience and great service for the Sunday buffet. Would love to return.
Second Time at Kaia and this time the service was not good. Food is fine but a bit small portions Vs the price.
The lady that served us was very helpful with the menu and describing the dishes as I wasn’t familiar and for recommendations. Ordering just enough and amazing tastes. The black cod and tuna starter were beautiful.
She also was able to answer many of my questions about The Neds history and what it had to offer. We were served and then they were attentive but not overbearing. I know lunchtimes on a week day are super busy but a Saturday evening was quite and the bar was nicely busy and has live music. Great night and experience. Sectioned off areas in a massive banking hall may not be to everyone’s taste but I loved having so much going on under one roof.
Food was unbelievable. And good value too.
Shame about the service, but that was hopefully just a blip. Basically once the food turned up they completely forgot about us. The additional drink we'd ordered never turned up and because they didn’t check on us we didn’t get the chance to grab someone and chase it until the end of the meal. We ran out of drinks and couldn’t flag anyone.
It was an hour and a quarter before we got a water refill, once the food had been taken away.
That’s not deterring next from going back though, like I said, probably a blip.
Only negative is that there was a hair in our food otherwise lovely
Delicious food and great service, the live band made the evening perfect!
A bit noisy
Tap water must be refill before the guest ask for it. Just dropping a bottle filled with water.
Also th soya sauce. For 4 people one single jar it’s a bit to little.
But still the waitress was super nice and cute. She made good suggestions and she keeps the table clean and organise.
The food was good but the service and ambience was terrible. The staff were so rude and the whole place was incredibly noisy. We had to sit and end of a group’s table... not recommended....
Very nice food. Sushi taste fresh and good quality. The grilled food was cooked correctly amount and had good flavours. The building is very impressive but has a lot of things going off and is quite busy. But in the restaurant it is a little calmer.
Very pleased with the experience overall. Very good food and service. The setting itself gives the restaurant already the lively ambiance
Service felt very rushed and manic, not our usual pleasant experience. Maybe the waiter was new?!
Loved it. Took my mum for her birthday and she loved it which was most important. They treated her really nicely. Food spectacular. All I will say is as smaller eaters we didn’t get £50 a head worth of food into our bellies
Very nice meal in a very lively bar restaurant environment.
It was very good, the food was very good and the service very friendly; I would definitely recommend this place. It is inside the Ned hotel.
Birthday dinner which was amazing! The atmosphere is great, waitresses are friendly but the service was kind of slow but this was a Friday night- so all is forgiven!
Great food definitely will go again
The high seating is too tight and cramped
The overall experience wasnt great as the venue was extremely crowded and noisy
As a result you could barely hear each other over the counters and it felt like you were cramping into other peoples space
It was just ridiculously noisy we couldn’t hear our own conversation. Food was good though
Good food, not as good as first time I visited Kaia, however the ambience more than makes up for it!
Service is bit too over the top, kept coming over to see if we were ready to order a number of times despite saying we'll give you a shout.
Good choice of veggie options - Poke bowls are a hit everytime!
Tofu steak not nice, aubergine was good
Fabulous!.....look forward to futures visits....especially friendly and welcoming Staff.
Great food but the counter seating was a bit annoying. Had a lamp directly in front of my seat making it hard to talk to my guest across the counter.
Fabulous food, great way to celebrate our 22nd anniversary.
So... Having looked at other reviews, I was quite prepared for bad service at Kaia, but it really was laughable. I was the first to arrive and confirmed we were there for afternoon tea. Then it was only after everyone arrived that we were offered drinks - even water - which wasn't a great start. Next we sat there for 45 minutes being ignored by all the waiters. Eventually we collared one and asked where our food was. Some excuse about us not ordering but it wasn't like someone came to try. Quickly someone took our tea orders and the food arrived shortly after. It was all very tasty but definitely could have been more savoury treats and less 'macha' cakes. All-in-all I don't think i'd recommend Kaia; very poor service, not blown away by the food, and considering the booze was quite expensive (£45 bottle of Prosecco) you did get what you paid for at a mere £30/p for the afternoon tea. The Ned itself was very cool - almost like dining on the Titanic. So that was nice.
Good food, in a beautiful venue. Little bit noisy though.
We had a lovely meal at Kaia with a great selection of foods. The food was quite pricey and we ended up going over our budget but overall Kaia is definitely worth a visit.
Great food lovely environment
Wonderful vibe, good food, a mix of posh ambience and laid back afterwork crowd, a sweet spot.
I booked a table and got shoved onto a bar seat
Take it or leave it service
Food was tasty but doesn’t make up for overall Complacent and arrogant approach
the seating at the counter tables is a bit crowded as you feel like you're touching elbows with the people next to you but food and service was excellent (except a long wait trying to pay the bill)
Last time my husband and I went it was really good and everything was perfect. Now we visited for the Sunday buffet for a birthday celebration. The food was great and the value is very good. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the service, the waitress forgot our welcome drinks and we had to remind them twice, our bill got mixed up with another table and I had to chase for the birthday desert twice too. Overall experience was good, but compared to a time previously it was a bit disappointing. Will be returning again just wanted to give honest feedback. Thank you for a good Sunday!
Most seating is at long communal counters with backless stools. Somehow I convinced them to seat me at one of the very few small individual tables. If not for that I think my experience would not have been so pleasant. Lots of food mainly sushi and similar. Staff were all very nice and basically all they did was clean up used plates. I had never been at THE NED before and it consists of at least four and possibly more restaurants all running into each other so be sure you are at the correct one!
