Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, a private function, or looking forward to lunch with friends or business associates, Kahill's offers comfortable surroundings, detailed service and classic American menu.
In addition to exceptional steaks, Kahill's menu offers sea 2 table-fresh seafood, pork, flavorful salads, homemade desserts, a expanded wine list and much more. While the entrees at Kahill's are always a celebration, we invite you to come as you are whenever you're in the mood for a delicious meal and attentive service. Our wonderful view is only matched by the savory menu.
We have never had a bad experience at Kahill's! Love the food, love the environment! Following dinner, we went to the bar and had a drink! The best way to spend New Year's Eve!
Very nice atmosphere lots of good choices on menu staff was knowledgeable about the menu. Will go again
Wonderful food, great service, fantastic new look. What more could we ask for?
over rated for the quality and value. Perhaps it was an off night but for the price there should be no off nights.
Excellent food and service , as it always has been at Kahill's. The new look is beautiful.
Good food at a decent value. The pick two lunch portions are small. The burger should be called a slider.
Lovely new decor and renovation, but noisy with a room full of customers. Friendly service but a very slow experience. Food was okay. I do recommend the Black & Blue Nachos.
Server did not get our appetizer nor any of our three sides out with our entrees. We ultimately asked her to skip them as we were done with our entrees by the time she thought they would be done.....She assured us they would be out soon....never came so we eventually just ate our entrees and asked for our check.....she said they wouldn't be on our bill.....of course they were...so we had to go back inside after we left the restaurant and talk to the manager.....We asked him to take them off our bill SINCE WE DIDN"T GET THEM and he seemed put out by their mistake. Very disappointed for supposedly the best restaurant in Sioux City. It was busy on a Saturday night so the mistake didn't bother us as much as the lack of ownership once the mistake was made. Little nervous since my daughter is having her wedding reception there in 2020!
Although the food was good, the kitchen and serving staff made some huge errors.
After waiting longer than I had expected for my entree to arrive, the server brought my steak with no vegetables, only to inform me that, "the kitchen has run out of brussels sprouts". Why didn't he tell me that ten minutes earlier, so I could select something else and have everything brought out together? Instead, I had to sit there with a piece of meat on my plate, getting cold, while the server went back to the kitchen to put in the order for a different vegetable.
When it came to ordering dessert, I ordered the apple tart. Fifteen minutes later the server returned and placed a creme brulee in front of me. I said to the server, "Excuse me, this is creme brulee. I ordered the apple tart." "Oh yeah", he said, "that's right". And away he went. He came back five minutes later to tell me that if I still wanted the apple tart, it would take the kitchen ten minutes to prepare. "Yes", I said, "I want the apple tart".
There were a few other missteps that I won't bother to describe, but these two were inexcusable in my opinion. They speak to poor training. Who's running this establishment? Do they take the time to train staff properly. A hotel like this has visitors from all parts of the country, and the world. Hotel guests expect a level of professionalism that might not be expected in a neighborhood establishment. The operators of Kahill's should know better.
My observation was that almost all the staff were young men and women - no professional servers. If you're going to charge Chicago prices in Sioux City, you should hire professional, competent staff.
We did experience a few challenges. When we were first seated and given our water it was so salty we had to spit it out-we then saw this happen at many tables. The server said this happens sometimes-? I think I would check the water before serving it to people. My husbands wine glass also smelled strange. As for the food it was wonderful. We can look past the glass and water issues-we will be returning.
The food was outstanding and the Service was top notch! Chad’s wine recommendations are always spot on he is amazing!! Also a big shout out to Rusty for taking care of our every need!! This turned out to be a great Birthday surprise for my wife!
Party of 6 arrived early but they were happy yo seat us early. Noise level very loud. Lots of mistakes on orders bu the waitress - skipped asking some people for appetizers, one steak over done, no butter with one lobster order but not the other. Steak arrived with a sauce not described nor wanted. Manager asked how things were but did nothing to rectify things. I would not return
Kahill's looks beautiful after the recent remodel. The food and wine selection is great.
Generally speaking, food was very good especially steaks. Would not recommend pork chops. They were very over cooked and not only for me but for others from my group that dined there over our two day stay in Sioux City.
We were a group of 7 and put at large booth. Booth was actually too large, it was hard to converse with people at other end. Remodel is beautiful! Food was good, but expensive. Not sure that it was worth the expense. We all liked the won ton nachos. Service could have been better. Our waiter wasn’t super attentive. We had trouble getting his attention for needing items after food was delivered. It was a nice experience but Not sure that we will be going again anytime soon. Overall experience was good, mainly do to my dinner companions but not so much in going back again soon.
Beautiful restaurant with nice view of the river. Very convenient to the Delta Hotel. Perfect for a business meeting or romantic dinner.
Kahill's is truly a gem. Service and food are always outstanding. Been going there for nearly 20 years, 4 to 6 times a year. Just a great place! Love the renovations.
Service was absolutely terrible. Server basically ignored us for the more than three hours it took for dinner. Three hours because the service was slow by the way. The whole affair could have been done in an hour.
We LOVE this restaurant!! It’s pricey, but totally worth it. Our steaks were done to perfection and the service was impeccable! Even if it wasn’t.......we’d be back for the famous Kahill Hash Browns!!
Spent two hours there and received under cooked scallops and a dry salmon.
My partner and I had an excellent time at Kahill's, from the appetizer, to the drinks, and the perfectly cooked steaks that needed no sauce to enjoy. We even got talked into dessert despite being full. It's no secret that Kahill's is pricey compared to other Siouxland dining, but the level of service and quality of the food we received made the premium price feel right.
This is a very well designed space with the Missouri River as a backdrop. Furniture, art and lighting are in line with what you would expect at the Cosmo or Aria in Vegas. Walking in I anticipated great food and service........I was not disappointed.
Excellent like always love the food and the staff. First time there since the redo of everything and it looks amazing. The new chairs at the table are very comfortable.
This was our first-time back to Kahill's since the renovation. We love the new look. The lighting at night really is outstanding. I love the two fireplaces. The food as always is great. You cannot find a restaurant anywhere with better steaks. This is our favorite place for dinner.
The newly renovated restaurant is very beautiful! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious! Missed the good bread they used to have. Very enjoyable dinner!
We sat at the bar and had the best of time. We both had the tuna, which was outstanding. Beautiful presentation of the food. Kahill's has a great selection of wines. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I understand it just reopened after a total new design. The place looks like a big winner.
The renovation looks very nice. Much more modern feel but still cozy.
The food tasted absolutely wonderful. There were a few serving issues. They had only been reopened 2 days and didn't have wine that was listed on the menu. After getting our wine we ordered our appetizer and dinner. No wait staff came back to the table until 20 minutes later with our appetizer. We still had to ask for water and had to wait until our waiter came back. Luckily we had a bottle of wine we could pour ourselves. Not the end of the world but the $$$ you expect the service.
For the price point I expected more. The sea scallops were good as was the veal chop. But the veal cop was undercooked, warm but raw near the bone. The creme brulee was good, but the large dollop of whipping cream was not necessary, and the berries were less than stellar.
The total renovation of Kahill's Chophouse is absolutely fabulous!! The food and service was to-notch. My bone-in filet was amazing. All six of us had the best of time. Great new energy in the restaurant. Love the place.
Great food with all our crowd but service was glacially slow.
Everything was first class. It was just a great place to be.
Friendly staff, and very good and knowledgeable wait staff! Food was excellent!
Salad very under dressed. Sandwich was dry. Service and view were great.
Great food and service. Love their wine selection.
I’ve dined here over 15 times over the years. This experience was absolutely the worst... very disappointing. The lobster bisque was only fair at best. The 6 oz filet lacked flavor. The double boned pork chop was burned on the outside but red in the middle. We had asked that the chop be cooked medium well to well done. I ended up trimming and eating the charred edges. Left much of the entree on the plate. The waitress was pleasant but failed to notice the amount of work and uneaten pork.
We didn’t complain (and weren’t asked how the meal was.). Certainly not the quality of food or service we’ve come to expect from Kahills. Would be hesitant to recommend at this point. Not sure if this was a fluke or a new norm. Just disappointed.
Both our server and the manager were amazing! The service and conversations were wonderful! The table by the window was amazing! We couldn’t get enough of the beautiful view! We can’t wait to celebrate there again!
The service was awesome. She was very kind and informative. The food was delicious, I ordered a 8oz filet with bacon Mac n cheese!!!! Could have used a little more seasoning on the steak however it was tasty, so was the mac n cheese, delicious. Also, how could I forget, the salads are fresh and delightful!!! It was a little noisy there was a business group that sat right behind me and a lady who stared at me. Other than those mentioned, I enjoyed my Birthday dinner. Thank you Kahill's Chophouse!!!!!
Our table ordered dou le bone pork chops, NY Strip, and salmon. All were prepared perfect and tasted fantastic. Service was timely, not rushed.
Best double boned pork chop I’ve ever had!
Awesome service private room
