   My first time here. Best spanakopita I’ve ever had. And the sesame ice-cream is amazing. Lovely atmosphere, staff friendly and attentive. Got to sit near the beautiful window overlooking Spring St. Thank you Kafeneion.

   Outstanding service - menu and specials fully explained to us and suggestions made, which were perfect. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Be sure to book as it’s very busy.

   A lovely dinner experience. Food was exceptional, especially the meatballs, octopus and spanakopita - the pastry was so light and flaky. Prompt, friendly, professional service and a great ambience. Highly recommend.

   My friend Nicole was visiting from northern NSW. We had dinner before a performance of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ at the Princess theatre. Everything was perfect: food, service, wine, ambience. And we arrived in our seats just as the curtain rose on a brilliant production and performance. Very highly recommended.

   We have a group dinner at Kafeneion and it was such a wonderful evening! The set menu was an absolute feast and each dish was delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, plus they assisted with amending our booking time and dietary requirements. An amazing experience all round, can't wait to come back to dine again there soon.

   It was overall an okay experience. The food was decent. We ordered beef cheeks stew (stifado), stuffed vegetable (yemista), pickled vegetables which was from the entree menu and lettuce salad. These are quite traditional dishes done well but we both felt that the mains needed more seasoning and flavour. The restaurant was not busy on a Tuesday night and the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and polite. They always filled up our water glasses the moment they were empty as they walked past. There was Greek music in the background and was not too loud. Overall not a bad experience.

   In line with most reviews before my visit. Gorgeous ambience in the restaurant and lovely service. Food was alright. Loved the fresh bread and delicious Fava dip. The mains style is tasty homecook stew but lacks generosity. Eg. The beef cheek and pork could have been served with more than 1 piece of potato. Makes me miss the spitroast style feast. Noise levels wise, not the fault of the restaurant, I like the vibe except the crowd was too loud.
