Great overall experience.
Kachina Cantina always pleases. Great food and enjoyable atmosphere. Thx
Frequent the Kachina in Westminster but was downtown Denver on Thanksgiving so decided to give it a try. Magnificent! I had the Thanksgiving special. The green chili mashed potatoes were delicious. And the apple cinnamon margarita was a perfect compliment to the Thanksgiving meal. Hubby got the salmon and would order it again.
Good for a quick bite.
I found this place through a quick Google search for a place to grab dinner before going to a show at Summit. I'm so glad I was lucky enough to stumble upon Kachina! The food was amazing. The atmosphere was funky, light, and comfortable. Our waitress was outstanding and made some great recommendations. I highly urge you to try to skirt steak -- it does not disappoint! I will certainly be frequenting Kachina whenever I find myself in Denver.
The guacamole tasted like a $5 scoop from the package mixed with sweet corn from a can. While quite disappointed with the guacamole we ordered, the rest of the food and drink was great! Ambience was a little on the loud side...
Food was fresh and the cocktails were great. Very nice happy hour menu.
The food was different that at most restaurants, the fried bread tacos were to die for, and we loved the frito pie. Our waitress went out of her way for us, would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Food is no longer special, and prices are agressive for the quality.
The Kachina Grill is always a favorite for special occasions and meeting friends! Great food and great service that is always consistent!
I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed. First off you have to pay for chips and salsa $4+. The tacos are teeny-tiny, maybe 3 bites. My friend ordered the fish taco and it looked like a fish stick.
Dissapointing. There was no one in the restaurant and somehow the service was still slow and they got our order wrong. The food was fine nothing to write home about. Skip it and to next door to milk market
It was a great lunch and the server was extremely patient with us when the size of our party changed a couple of times.
Kachina was a great experience, Service was on point and informative. We brought our two year old and it was surprisingly a good environment for kids. Drinks were unique and the food was incredible. The Indian fry bread is something you have to try!
Food and bar service were good. Our server was awful. She did not want to be working and was irritated we were there.
Bar tender and hostess were super nice.
Tasty food and great service. The patio offers a relaxed atmosphere for people watching.
Food was ok, nothing spectacular. There were 4 of us and we all tried different tacos. They are pretty small so you might get two bites. The bison taco was interesting in that we couldn't see any meat - Only black beans. They did have an odd taste. We all thought the rice was good. Hard to screw up a beer in a can. Margaritas were tasty, but then again, nothing that we would have to return for. Service was fast and pleasant. It does get loud so not some place to carry on a conversation.
Very good service and great food. I’m going back again.
Great experience. My husband had the Mahi taco and stated it was salty. I had heard the same of their scallops so hopefully they take note and stop salting saltwater fish. I had a carne asada taco on the fry bread and some of their green chili. Both were delicious. Margaritas were good albeit strong. Server was a bit overwhelmed but personable. I will be back.
Just ok. Good location. Nice atmosphere. Food is mediocre.
Wonderful, creative food and great service. Great way to celebrate a birthday.
Interesting delicious food and great cocktails. Servers were friendly and attentive.
Food was great. They did not have our Open Table reservation for some reason though. The people in front of us had the same problem.
Not too happy about paying $13 for a small glass of wine when I could get a better glass for a dollar less at the dairy block
Overall a tasty experience. Guacamole trio was very good (we liked 2 of 3), burritos were liked by our kids, and tacos were excellent. Not sure we would order the non-traditional enchilada (vegetarian in a skillet) again — good flavors but too much cheese.
We had a family farewell dinner and enjoyed Kachina Cantina very much. The waitstaff was attentive and patient with our large group (with a toddler) and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful evening.
So disappointing. We were excited to go to Kachina for our business dinner because it was recommended to us. We made a reservation for 6 people and requested to sit outside. When we arrived we asked if we could sit out side and the host said that would be no problem just give us a few minutes to put your table together. We said okay and decided to grab a drink at the bar. It took over 10 minutes for a bartender to even come over and take a drink order. After about 20 minutes of waiting at the bar for our table I went back up to the host stand to check because we noticed that they sat the last 4 open tables they had on the patio. When I went up and asked about our table the host said sorry but they sat all the tables and we would have to wait another 40 minutes for a table inside or outside. (Remind you are reservation was at 645pm and it’s now 715pm) At this point we were extremely disappointed and the management and staff didn’t seem to care. We decided to leave and go to dinner somewhere else. It’s disappointing that the Managment didn’t seem to even be bothered that we were upset about the seating situation and the bar situation.
This restaurant has become one of my favorites in the last year! This time I chose to celebrate my birthday here and brought my family! It was a delight! Great food, great service, and we were able to sit out on the patio to enjoy the evening!
Went with a girl friend for Friday night dinner and we really enjoyed it! Great location as it's located in the corner of the Dairy Block. Portion sizes for the entrees were really large. Guacamole was a little overpriced but some of the best I've had in Denver. I think our server wasn't having a great day, but the food and drinks were delicious so I'll definitely be back!
Our server was very kind. The speed of service was unbearably slow. Drinks from the bar, food from the kitchen.... very slow. My friends were mad and thought we should have been given something to compensate for waiting so long (e.g., free drinks).
I took some business colleagues here for dinner. There were 10 of us and the service was perfect! Joel was on time (and often) with drinks, the food came in a timely manner and was excellent (chicken enchiladas are INSANE!). I asked for pre set chips and salsa and it was beautifully arranged and very delicious. This is the second time I have been there for a business dinner with flawless service and an amazing experience all around.
The service was poor. Food was disappointing
We got there during the transition between menus and couldn’t order from the brunch menu.
Our food was wonderful. However, the male server that we had completely forgot about us. It took over 10 minutes for him to even come to the table for the first time. Then, it took another 10 minutes to get our first round of drinks. We ordered a salsa trio and a guac trio to start, and those came out quickly, which was nice. Two of the four of us had the bottomless mimosa/bloody option going on for lunch, and the server never came back to the table to ask if they wanted more. Our waters were all empty. We tried to flag him down a couple times, but we ended up asking a female server who was walking by to help us, and she was on the ball (thank goodness). A side of bacon guac was ordered with the main entree, and it never came till we flagged the female server down and asked for it (after we were mostly finished with our meal because our server never came back to check on how the food was or to see if we needed anything). The restaurant needs to do a better job of training their servers to meet specific time requirements and to-do steps (coming from an experienced F&B'er). Thankfully, the food was so delicious that our out-of-town guests still enjoyed themselves, but not without the annoyance of terrible service.
The food was a huge let down compared to kachina up north at the Westin and the prices were higher. Bloody Mary bar was ... meh - not at all like what we’ve experienced elsewhere. The chorizo eggs Benedict was below average in flavored and the huevos rancheros was ok tostadas were stale and the beans were either undercooked or old. I am super disappointed that we won’t frequent this spot because Westminster is a little drive but the lower prices (example kids Apple juice was 4$ and normally 2/2.50 up north and same goes for the Benedict) and the higher quality food and much better menu are worth the drive... Honestly, if I didn’t feel like a terrible person, I probably would have asked for my money back.
Oh and the corn and blueberry pancakes... not good.
We were excited to try a new spot - what a great choice! Fun staff and fantastic food! Will definitely be back when we're in the Dairy Block area.
Nothing spectacular. The guacamole tasted like prepackaged from the grocery store. The salsa was just ok. The margaritas were delicious.
Great service and great food! What more can you ask for.
One of my favorites in Denver. The Navajo tacos are dreams and the sweet corn ice cream never disappoints.
Our server Jill made our experience especially enjoyable. All of her recommendations were a hit. We loved the Chicken enchilada & carne asada tacos. Very fun atmosphere!
They were great! We went before the Colorado Rockies game. A fluke that I made a reservation for 5:30 on Saturday and soooo glad I did. Only 2 of us, but it was a 2 hour wait if no reservations! We were 10 minutes lates because we stood in a long line at Coors Field for a bobblehead, but our reservation was still firm!!!!
So happy and wonderful service since we need alot of immediate water. Line was an hour long, hot sun, 97 out side! perfect place to be! I will be back and I will tell friends to make reservations!!!! Fabulous waitress!
So glad that Open Table option came up when I was on line for the address!!!
