   The staff was polite and the place is well decorated and clean. But the food was disappointing. Food was way too salty for my taste and I had to ask the cook a couple times not to put so much soy sauce on everything.

   Our waitress was great! Never had to ask for water, lemonade refills, etc. she was watching and brought everything before we asked for anything! Our chef was entertaining and the food was cooked to perfection! We will be back!

   Food and service were very good. It was made less enjoyable by the extremely loud yelling at the birthday celebrations going on at the tables around us. This seemed to be encouraged by the chefs, who were also yelling. Maybe we are just getting too old (80) for Kabuto. Or maybe it was later in the day (7:00) than we usually go.

   I made dinner reservations around 6:30PM for 9:00 for my family. I get a call at 8:30PM as we are walking out the door telling us we MUST be there in 10 minutes or else we won't be seated. I told them that that was impossible, but we were leaving the house. I arrived at 8:58 and got our table as my family was parking. The MOMENT I sat down, the server was hostile and said we all had 5 minutes to place our order or we would not be served. I was so shocked as I had never experienced this at a restaurant before. My sister-in-law, more confrontational than I, asked to speak with the manager. The manager informed us each reservation is contacted at the beginning of the day with strict instructions. Seeing as we made the reservations only a few hours before, that was not possible nor communicated to us. We were treated so poorly from the moment we walked in. The ONLY saving grace was our chef which was so positive and friendly. Overall, walked away and can say this was the strangest customer service experience I've had.

   We ordered Drinks and sushi. The food was excellent and drinks were perfectly made. Our waitress was very pleasant. This was our 4th time visiting the restaurant and it has always been consistent food/drinks/service. Also, excellent value and choices for happy hour.

    This was the first time we've eaten in the Habachi grill section of the restaurant, and we really liked it so much more than the regular dining room. Great fun watching the chef prepare our food next to the table. Very lively eating experience!

    The service has been very slow and the server did not get my order correctly. It was quicker for us to goto the bar and order our drinks and appetizers. I ordered NewYork strap steak and scallops. The Habachi Chef didn’t go over our order like he usually does. If he had done so he could have corrected my order. Instead I received scallops and shrimp.

    Interesting choices on the menu that one doesn't always find in local Japanese restaurants. All three of us ordered different dishes and all of us were pleased. We ate in the main room and were the only ones. By contrast the Hibachi grill room was filled.

    The regular section is usually nice and quiet. The hibachi parlor is a bit noisier. Our hibachi chef was fun. I LUUUV the salad dressing. Food was good and very nicely cooked, but the dipping sauces were sort of meh.

    Servings were very large at the hibatchi table, more than what you get at other hibachi grills. They also give you both, rice and noodles, a heaping serving of fresh grilled veggies, and more. You can get the same food at a standard table but without the show. The staff was friendly and prompt. The interior was very nice and more upscale than similar restaurants.

    This is in our neighborhood and we have never had such a bad experience before. Our soup and salad were served at the same time as our food and the entrees were cold. A margarita was served without ice and we had to go ask for ice at the bar. The server was doing his best but he was the only server on a busy Friday evening. What has happened here? There seemed to be no manager pulling it all together. We were at a regular table, not the hibachi. Doubtful we will return.

    We went to Kabuto for the first time to celebrate my mother’s birthday as was noted in our reservation. Melissa was our server, and we felt pressured from the minute we arrived as she came 3 times to ask us for drink orders but we only had one drink menu and it was five of us. She then brought an additional menu. I asked for a margarita and she brought me a mojito. When I told her I didn’t order a mojito she said that it was what I had said. I don’t drink rum so I guarantee I did not order a mojito. The drinks arrived one by one separate instead of bringing them all together. The food was good and the hibachi experience was nice. While still eating (half-way through it), our server cam to ask if we wanted boxes to go. We told her not yet. She came back a second time and asked again while dropping the check. After she brought the boxes she disappeared. Never asked if we wanted dessert, and we got nothing to celebrate my mother’s birthday. We will not return.

    Melissa was our server, she was nice but needs additional training. She was very overwhelmed so we tried our hardest not to add to that. She forgot my husband's drink we ordered hot sushi it came out cold. The dynamite roll and MD roll were not delicious at all. We were given spaghetti noodles for our noodle option(never been to Kabuto which served with THIN spaghetti noodles) when Melissa bought our rice she had her fingers in it and Melissa sat the rice rice down it spilled on the table and some on my husband pants. She came out with fresh rice, the food was cold like she forgot to get it out the window. (never had cold hibachi this was odd). When Melissa bought the-go trays she had her hands all in the inside again. After paying for our meal we decided to go to the bar. We observed the bartender at the end of the bar talking to another employee who appeared to be off. So we waited. He finally came over and he was pleasant. However during our time at the bar the same employee who appeared to be off was yelling on the phone about shifts he worked and didn't get paid for. Extremely unprofessional ( he started he was the owner I HOPE NOT he eventually went back in the kitchen. There was another employee a asking the bartender for a drink. He responded and says “you're not 21” they began having a conversation. There was a lot of personal stuff going on at the bar. I love Kabuto but this us the worse location I've been too. The service SUCKS and the food isbt that great. I DO NOT recommend. We just wanted to have dinner appeared the staff could care less. HOW do you mess up hibachi

    Good food but all courses are served too quickly. I would like to have time to enjoy my appetizer before the main course is put on my table. By the time I get starting to eat my main course it’s cold. Please don’t rush me with food all at once

    They had one server running the whole section so it wasn’t her fault but very slow service. Sat there with no one introducing themselves for 12 mins and then waited 12 more mins for water. We were sat at the end right next to a big work party in a awkward spot. Our steak was not cooked how we asked and I had really bad stomach problems after eating the food.     I LOVE the food here, however this place can’t get good Emoloyees (other than their sushi chefs and one bar tender) to save their lives. They also clearly don’t train well. The front desk greeters have the demeanor of prison guards. There is never a smile or courtesy extended. I have been here over 15-20 times, and literally I go for the food only. I really hope the management team reads this and they look at themselves first… what kind of a manager are you? How do you interview? How do you train? How do you measure customer satisfaction?     Kabuto lived up to our high expectations! Wonderful food! Festive environment. Fantastic hibachi chef who was full of life and entertained - including sake shots for adults from a squirt bottle! This will absolutely be our go-to hibachi spot for future celebrations. Highly recommend!

    You may want to think twice about eating at this restaurant as they automatically add an 18% gratuity to your bill. Additionally, the waiter added an extra $7 tip to the bill that I did NOT authorize. I only realized it once I received my American Express bill.     Went here for a birthday celebration. Service was mediocre, but food was delicious. From sushi, to calamari, vegetable tempura, the salad & the hibachi were prepared well. Seafood was fresh & everything was prepared to the desire temp requested. Prices were fair, specialty drink were a bit racy. But I’d come back. For a quick meal on a busy Saturday it provided what we needed for a party of 7.

    We were seated at a table at 8:30, the waitress took our drink order and then didn't come back to our table for over 25 minutes. At that time, we had to remind her about that drink order because we hadn't received the one drink we ordered and put in our food order. It was 55 minutes before we even received our soup, after having to remind the waitress again, and our actual entrees didn't arrive until after 9:45, all cold as though they'd been sitting for a while. When we complained to the manager, she told us the kitchen was busy and backed up, but by the time we received our food, both the hibachi section and our section were almost empty. Even if it were true that the kitchen was backed up, no one told us that it might be slow to get our food ahead of time. After all of that, the manager didn't really seem to care and only gave a 10% discount for this horrible dining experience. I will not be going to this restaurant again and I recommend no one else go here, either. Terrible service, rude wait staff, and cold, overpriced, subpar food.

    We went last night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The restaurant was freezing cold, there was no heat on and everyone had to wear their coats. Made for a very unpleasant dining experience.
