Kabooki Sushi - Sand Lake
Chef Henry Moso’s talent has jumped past the borders of his native, landlocked Laos. His childhood travels across Southeast Asia have gone on to inform his culinary trajectory.
Chef Henry sharpened his skills, and knives, at her restaurants Bangkok Square and Origami Sushi upon arriving in Florida when he was only 15-yers-old. She remains his foremost inspiration.
His mission is to combine locally sourced, seasonal ingredients with the best cuts from Japan for a dining experienced centered on quality control, excitement, and surprise.
Opening Kabooki at 22 was a much-anticipated step in his already celebrated career. Henry hopes to “expand similar and new concepts” in the Orlando area, but for now, the main stage is set at Kabooki.

My experience was great. mu friend and I enjoyed so much the Kabuki.
The foods were tasty. The desert was also not too sweet.
We didn't see each other for a long time. So Kabuki really helped me to celebrate re-union yesterday. Thank you so much!
Just go for magical dinning. Off the menu food was meh and overpriced for the quality we got. Just go to boku or mikado or Jade. You’ll get better food there for half price.
Everything we ordered was delicious! Note-a few of the items we ordered was on the daily special menu.
Miso soup, St. Louis ribs, and karaage were packed with a punch--superbly flavored. The Zen sushi roll was a big contrast to the other dishes, but it was just as delicious and fresh. We also ordered A3 steak ishiyaki style and it was such a fun experience to have during dinner. Lastly, make sure to eat all that comes with the carrot cake together. The cake, apple cider raisins, apple butter, and ice cream create a wonderful melody in your mouth.
We tried a daily special for appetizer - salmon tartar - and it was delicate and delicious. Then went with mild spiced variety of sushi. All 4 sushies were excellent. Very warm service, too. Great experience!
Wonderful food and atmosphere. The quality of their food is top which is what you want for sushi dining. Loved our cocktails too. Get the yucca fritters, so different and delicious.
We are definitely lovers of exceptional quality food, service and ambiance and Kabooki did not disappoint!! From the moment we entered the staff was personable, kind and helpful to our questions. They offer some specialty items on their Chef’s daily Choices that we haven’t seen on menus back home in California! Don’t hesitate to try anything that sparks your interest! You won’t be disappointed 👍🏼
Cassie was our amazing server! We had the options off the Magical Dining menu and everything was fantastic! It was a great place for celebrating my birthday!
Kabooki remains our favorite in Orlando. It has an excellent kitchen. Anything less than a 5-star rating is because of this ... Before going to our table for dinner, we sat at the bar for a while. Between us, we had 2 Tanquerays straight up, and 2 glasses of what was ordered as the "house" cabernet. Thought the $60 bar bill was excessively high for this order.
The food is very good, we love it from appetizers to desserts, definitely we will come back again
AS ALWAYS, THE BEST FOOD IN ANY CATEGORY HANDS DOWN!
Best sushi meal I've ever had. Service was extremely knowledgable, food was above and beyond what was expected. Golden snapper off the seasonal/specials menu was the best pieces of nigiri i've ever had. All around we probably tried ~20 different items and everything impressed. Wish I lived here so I could go back weekly.
amazing every time! our server was so nice and efficient and the food was so great
Amazing food and service like always, the noise level was bit loud, so having a conversation was a little challenging. Overall all 8 out of 10.
Always a great experience. Good and service were outstanding. I know it’s a sushi restaurant, but you are missing out if you don’t try the carrot cake!
we go two to three times a month and the food is always consistent. The service is always on point.
the clientele mirrors the ambiance of the restaurant.
Great place with superb food and excellent service
my favorite sushi spot
Fab as always. Just a little noisy. Hard to talk with family. :(
Don't fear the "market price" (currently $250) price tag, the full tasting menu at Kabooki is worth every penny. Watching the chef expertly assemble each dish and present it with a complete description of the components, and good lord, every bite I put in my mouth was absurdly good. Twelve courses, including five nigiri bites, plus dessert was just enough to where, if they'd served another, I would have struggled to finish it.
This is definitely an experience worth having, for all you food adventurers out there. And just further proof that the best food in Orlando is not in CityWalk or Disney Springs or Epcot.
Delicious, high quality sushi as always! Great vibe and ambiance as well.
Kabooki was a great experience, I went with my mom and we had a great time.
Caitlin was wonderful. The experience was elevated with her help. Most of the food were great, but some were just okay. Drinks were excellent. Highly recommend the Vegetarian Moriawase.
Hello Kabooki Sushi!
Last night was my first experience at your restaurant. My girlfriend kept telling me how awesome it was and that we should go. Our waitress, Angie, was very sweet and professional so we asked her for recommendations. We ordered everything she suggested. Overall the food was delicious and beautifully presented. However, it was not a substantial amount of food. When receiving the bill a the end, I was shocked to see that six plates and two drinks were a whopping $187! The Blue Fin tuna sashimi plate alone was $40 for six pieces of tuna. And there was an extra entree added to our bill that we did not order but I didn't bother to address it with Angie. My favorite sushi places, Dragonfly and Seito have Kabooki beat as far as value as the portions are substantial and fairly priced. $187 would feed four of us at those places. I know your restaurant is doing great so maybe it's just not for me. It would take some type of incentive for me to return and give you guys another shot. Thanks.
The appetizers and main sushi dishes were great but the desert was terrible. The server took it off the check so other than that it was really good.
The sushi was very good.
Food and service were good my only 2 observations are that the food took longer than expected and it was weird to have the server rushing you at 9:30 pm to order everything including the dessert because the kitchen close at 10pm. We had a reservation at 8:45pm. I feel if you are doing last call at 9:30 you should not take reservations after 8pm or 8:30pm
Beautiful place for a birthday dinner with family!
This is some of the best sushi I’ve had.
Great food and service
Outstanding food and service!
Not standard sushi! This was a step beyond. The combinations were unusual, fresh and exciting. The interior was stylish and inviting. The server was knowlegeable and friendly. Wine list was thoughtful. Will definitely be back!
Had the Omakase course at the sushi counter and had a amazing time!
Best sushi bar in Orlando!
Love love love the sushi in this place ... It is fresh and delicious !!!!
If you are a sushi lover !!! This place is amazing !!!!
and you will be coming back for more
Consistently the best. Novel and creative cuisine and its great reputation is well-deserved.
Food was very good, different menu than the Colonial location, but still just as good. Great service, nice atmosphere, had a reservation and was seated immediately upon arrival.
The restaurant is too dark, difficult to read menu. There’s really no ambiance, it’s more like an eatery. Our waiter was nice and friendly, efficient and knew his menu. The food was very pricey for the mediocre quality and flavor. We ordered margaritas, which were the smallest size I’ve ever been served. Will definitely not come back.
The standard menu was great. But the daily specials menu was greater. My waiter was a world of great information, but the food was over the top spectacular. I don’t recall being this happy leaving my favorite sushi restaurant at home. I will be back to kabooki!
Lively, fun place to dine. Food was very good and presentation beautiful.
Will be back.
