Kabooki Sushi - Sand Lake
Chef Henry Moso’s talent has jumped past the borders of his native, landlocked Laos. His childhood travels across Southeast Asia have gone on to inform his culinary trajectory.
Chef Henry sharpened his skills, and knives, at her restaurants Bangkok Square and Origami Sushi upon arriving in Florida when he was only 15-yers-old. She remains his foremost inspiration.
His mission is to combine locally sourced, seasonal ingredients with the best cuts from Japan for a dining experienced centered on quality control, excitement, and surprise.
Opening Kabooki at 22 was a much-anticipated step in his already celebrated career. Henry hopes to “expand similar and new concepts” in the Orlando area, but for now, the main stage is set at Kabooki.

Delicious, artfully crafted, attention to detail on presentation and flavor experience. Beautifully done, we will definitely return. Omakase experience is our go to!
Loved the food is amazing! Try the ribs and the Japanese Fried Chicken! Would love more options on wine selection !
This was a 1st time butcher will not be the last. What a great experience and awesome service.
This is NOT your average “grab some Nigiri and Rolls” kind of place. This is your Chef special, tasting plate, flown in today from Japan Uni kind of place.
Throw is some Wagu beef dishes, smoked pork/crispy rice dishes and a locally grown mushroom plate that was off the chain good.
Did I mention the service? Well from the door to the check you are treated like a 5 star guest. I don’t think I poured 1 glass of water/sake the entire night. Never had to look or wave down our server. Seriously next level service.
Gets crowded but service is still timely and great! Never had a bad experience, and they have wonderful options for anyone who is vegan.
The ambiance was amazing, the food was EXQUISITE and the staff was attentive and very friendly, I'm bringing all my friends to try this amazing place!
The food, service and ambiance was exceptional. The dishes are amazing and never disappoints.
Honestly expected more from a place with 5 stars. The sushi rolls weren’t bad. The food was honestly okay, but the price definitely did not reflect what you got. I tried the recommended appetizers and rolls, but it was bland for the most part. They overcompensate with aesthetic
Participation in Bite 30 was a big bonus
Drinks have taken a step back. Ghost roll, Nigiri and ribs are winners. I liked the change in recipe of the yuca fritters...my wife preferred the original. Gyoza is a hard pass.
El mejor shushi en Orlando!!! Espectacular!!
Y el servicio excelente.
Calidad de primer nivel 👌🏼
Food is consistently delicious.
We absolutely loved this restaurant and cannot wait to come back. Food was amazing , service exceptional and lived the vibe. 👌
This was our second time at Kabooki & it did NOT disappoint. The pork nabe rice bowl was seriously so amazing. We ended up adding the karaage and dumping it on top of the bowl and it was even better 🤤 the yuca fritters were also outstanding and Katrina at the bar was the best part! Thank you so much, we will be back.
Bravo!! Five stars all the way. 👏
We ordered the lobster it said 2 lb lobster for $85. It came out and it was only half a main lobster with one claw. We complained to the server she talked to her manager and they brought the other side out. She said it was a new item and the kitchen did it wrong. It tasted great but it was from a 2lb lobster. Not worth it. The server gave us a dessert on the house.
The server was excellent but the manager never came by.
Stick to the sushi it was amazing
Our 2nd visit o Kabooki - first to Bay Hill. Food & Beverage was excellent, just like the Colonial location. Out waiter was very nice and we enjoyed having him. However, there were some very long gaps in time between the last 2 courses for us. They also brought our dessert without any utensils. We determined we are not very good at eating ice cream with chopsticks! Eventually we got 2 tiny coffee spoons - but, that was better than the chopsticks. Definitely memorable.
This is a amazing place are server was knolageble, attentive, helpful and her recommendations were on point the food was amazing and fresh me and my wife will defenetly come back I highly recommend this restaurant I give it 5 stars.
Always fun, always great, food, service and atmosphere. I have never had a bad experience at Kabooki. Looking forward to the next visit.
Great restaurant. Great sushi. Love that we live close.
Food, servers, environment, simply wonderful. A little Noisy, because people talk too loud, not the music. We will be a regular customer for sure. Mackenzie was a wonderful waitress.
First time ever we had a reservation for inside and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Opted to sit outside.
This was our second time eating inside an establishment since the start of COVID in 2020, and we were so pleased with the entire experience. The staff, the ambiance, and especially the food were all fantastic. We used to be regulars at the E. Colonial location, but this will be our new favorite.
Had a party of drunks next to us and server as well as my wife and I couldn’t hear. Manager and server were very gracious and understanding as we asked to leave and get check.
Amazing fresh inventive sushi. Great drinks! Perfect atmosphere
Wonderful food. If you close your eyes, it is a nightclub with a loud thumping beat. The food is incredible. Best sushi in Orlando. Don’t go if you want to talk and joke with friends. Kabooki Lamborghini parked out front. So, trying hard to be hip and it works. Terrific, high quality sushi. Wonderful craft cocktails. Excellent service. Music makes me want to dance rather than focus on the amazing sushi.
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food made by chef!
Food was ok. Drinks were VERY overpriced. Noise level was nuts. Like trying to have a conversation on the dance floor of a club. Beware of the “upcharge “ for an itty bitty martini.
Wonderful food and service. My one complaint is our party of 2 was seated outside by ourselves. The view of the parking lot and windy, noisy shades did not make for a nice experience. Inside looked beautiful and lively.
Everything was fantastic from the service to the food to the atmosphere. Our server Ryan was very knowledgeable and helpful. All the food was incredibly fresh and creative.
Our waiter Eric was excellent and took very good care of us. He recommended some great dishes and never let our wine glasses get empty. The food was amazing. The pork jowls and the ginger dressing on my salad were my favorites.
Food was amazing!!
Just great overalll
Service was just ok, would expect better for what you pay to eat there. Also was there for a birthday which we informed less then than 2 hours before we got there. There was no acknowledgement of this for the birthday dinner, that was a little disappointing.
Incredible sushi. Our waitress was super helpful in directing us in choices
Too loud. Could not even hear across the table.
Incredibly different and interesting sushi unlike anything I have had elsewhere.
