   Tuve la oportunidad de almorzar en Kaandela y fue una experiencia increíble. El lugar tiene un encanto especial, con un ambiente acogedor que combina lo panameño con un toque moderno. Empezamos con el crudito de pescado y papaya, fresco y lleno de sabor, perfecto para el clima de mediodía. De plato fuerte pedí el puerquito al tamarindo: suave, jugoso y con una salsa agridulce que estaba espectacular. Y el postre fue el gran cierre: Buscando Guayaba. Me encantó saber que está inspirado en Rubén Blades, un ícono de nuestra música. Es un postre lleno de sabor, tropical y con una presentación hermosa. Gracias a Luis por su maravillosa atención y por explicarnos cada detalles de los platos. Sin duda, uno de los mejores almuerzos que he tenido en Casco. Kaandela es más que una comida, es una celebración de la cocina panameña.

   The short rib and side dishes weren't worth the price. The ambiance and desserts were wonderful. Wouldn't return. Service was odd and overbeaing.

   Food was PHENOMENAL. Server Kei was lovely. We sat right next to the fountain. Such a lovely evening !

   The food here is some of the best I've had all over the world. Each item we had was simply superb with balanced flavors and textures. This is an experience to remember, the drinks are great too.

   Food was decent. The drinks were more tart than expected. Service and ambience were really nice. Just overpriced for the taste.

   It’s was an amazing experience. The meals were so delicious. Infusing all the different cultures ingredients. This restaurant needs a Michelin star. A must when visiting the old town of Panama. Service was excellent.

   The short ribs were fantastic. The coconut curry fish was fresh and flavorful. The cocktails were inventive and refreshing. We sat at the kitchen bar. The chefs interacted with us. The service was delightful. A great spot in Casco Viejo!

   I had the pleasure of dining at Kaandela, an elevated yet casual, haute cuisine, quiet luxury concept that is a gastronomic gem. The farm to table menu is inspired by the region and uses ancestral techniques to create an explosion of perfectly balanced flavors. The restaurant’s general manager Luis Afú, gave me the rock star treatment with a personal tour of Amarla, the boutique hotel which houses the restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance were all truly exceptional. They exceeded all my expectations and created a memorable evening filled with genuine artistry. Their executive chef José Aparicio is worthy of a Michelin star, his passion shines through the menu he is executing at Kaandela, it’s fire!

    Very small portions ,actually insulting for the price. Meat was filled with fat and more bone than meat.We have been here numerous times and it was always excellent but this time it was a real disappointment and we will never return.
