Juvia Ratings and Reviews
One and only one reason to come here...the view
I put in request 1 week earlier that I wanted outside dining for special night with my daughter
Sat us inside, middle away form windows..
So, with this said ..nothing was worth it
From NY so pieces don’t scare me but prices here are borderline abusive
$18 small cocktail
$56 risotto truffle entree that was at best average
Silly app prices
Inside is a noisy, zero ambiance experience ..call ahead, demand outside (well I tired this and when I arrived..5 minutes early ) was told maybe 45 minutes if at all for outside
Entered with table for twos visible outside ..same tables empty when we left over an hour later
$200 bill ..thoroughly underwhelmed
Was very disappointed in overall experience. Went for valentines day dinner. Was surprised to find club music played to an ear deafening level where we could not even understand each other from across the table. Would not recommend for a romantic dinner out.
Beautiful rooftop bar and open air seating with views of Miami South beach..
Ordered foie gras and baked lobster ..foie gras was excellent..baked lobster was very chewy..they were very accomodating yo change the dish for us..lamp shank was delicious..higly recommend the place
One would think that this is a Tourist rip-off spot. But they changed the concept and the Chef(s), this is so far the only TRUE french foie gras I've had in the US, the Brioche amazing until we discovered: it's run by French People who just REALLY know how to do a foie gras. Superior Quality, nice ambiance, thoughtful Details - PERFECT!
Everything overall was very nice. But let me adivise you guys about this.
The only uncomfortable moment. We were awaiting for our table already 20 min late after the time we reserved on line. I was on my second glass of wine already once an attender at the tables outside approached us and said “can I order you another glass of wine. Because it’s going to take another 30 min”! Typical cheap sales pitch.
We were out for a good night. So I just answered. No thanks we want our table already 20 min late. She replied “I only sell drinks, not responsible for your tables. Please head to the front desk and speak with a hostess for that”. Absolutely lack of manners. 2 min later the hostess came to take us to the table. I was so happy we excused this attender and moved away from her services.
We booked Juvia for the outdoor dining and the view. We arrived on time and were given one of the four worst tables in the restaurant. I looked at the back of the bar, my wife looked at the kitchen. Very disappointing. Food was fine, service was fine, but experience was disappointing for two northerners who, were looking forward to eating outside while enjoying a great view.
