Juvia is a 10,000 square foot indoor/ outdoor restaurant and lounge on the penthouse level of the parking garage by Herzog & de Meuron at 1111 Lincoln Road. Owned and operated by Jonas and Alexandra Millan of Bonito St. Barth, Juvia's dining room features a vertical garden, designed by internationally acclaimed botanist Patrick Blanc, which invokes the lushness of the Amazon rainforest. Chefs are:Sunny Oh, formerly of Nobu South Beach, and pastry Chef Gregory Gourreau, who has worked with Alain Ducasse and Francois Payard. The duo serves a harmonious blend of the regional cuisines of Asia, the vibrant flavors of South America and classic French techniques in the form of ceviches, tiraditos, fresh seafood and prime meats.

The place is loud , and lively. Good music. The service was a bit hurried , but that’s probably because it was Friday night and very busy. View is nice but wouldn’t go out of my way for it a second time.
Food was fine , but the music was just a bit too loud for us as we sat near the DJ’s station

Beautiful views, good service, delicious drinks- but had to scream over the live DJ which abruptly started at 8:30 pm as did a constant stream of cigarette smoke from bar patrons seated 3 feet away from us diners. It became asphyxiating and nauseating and unfortunately couldn't stay for dessert which I've heard is excellent.
The food was subpar... fish appetizers were fresh and tasty, but the duck was very old and dry and the cilantro rice that accompanied it was sloppy and over cooked - something I would expect in a tourist trap. That is what I suppose this place is.
My advice is to get a drink and enjoy the view here one time, then move on if you want a fine dining experience.

I am currently on vacation in Miami from Manhattan. Prior to the trip I researched the best restaurants to dine at while I am in Miami. Up until tonight, I’ve had wonderful experiences at Bazaar by Jose Andres, Leynia at the Delano, and Katsyua at SLS.

In a nutshell, Juvia has a very cool ambiance, it’s a beautiful rooftop restaurant with a DJ playing great music. That being said, the food was a HUGE letdown.

We started with a few pieces of Nigiri and the tuna entree (as an appetizer). The quality of the nigiri pieces were very good but I need to mention that when I asked for soy sauce the waitress looked at me like I was insane. Fast forward to the end of the meal, and I notice they charged me $2 for a small side of soy sauce for my nigiri pieces. Seriously??? I spent $300 on dinner, you’re going to nickel and dime me for soy sauce?? UNACCEPTABLE!

For the entrees we ordered the tenderloin and the lobster pasta. Both were good but nothing to write home about. Also, worth mentioning that the tuna we ordered as our appetizer was overcooked, as we asked for rare tuna.

Overall, cocktails and ambiance is good. Food is subpar at best.

The ambiance was great; beautiful city views, wonderful service. My 8 year old daughter was very happy with the kids meal option; although she said it was “a lot of food for a kid” :)) My wife and I were also pleased with our dishes, but what we enjoyed the most was the great service we were provided with. Our servers were very attentive, prompt, always with a big smile on their faces.
We will certainly repeat the experience!

Unique high above ground outdoor setting with gorgeous city views. First time guests are wowed by that. Menu is scattered. Food tries to be creative but is average. I have never had so many service erors in a meal. Was charged for a drink which never came to table.

They didn't give us a nice cozy table with view inspite of request and there were tables available and they said they were good for 4, but they seated us in a table for 4 by the kitchen and green wall. We like the food here so that made up for it although we were not fully satisfied as our previous times to dine here.

The location was beautiful and the service was good, but unfortunately everyone in our table of 8 found the food average at best. Much of it was too salty. Therefore, we considered it all overpriced, as we were expecting an outstanding meal. I would recommend Juvia only for drinks.
