Juvia Ratings and Reviews
Juvia was everything I hoped for and more. My best friend was visiting from New York so I wanted to take her somewhere nice with great food and Juvia exceeded my expectations, the service was awesome not too overbearing but at the same time attentive. I would recommend this place 100 times.
We’ve been here a couple of times, but this was the first time trying the Brunch. It was amazing! Food was great, service was excellent and the bottomless proseco, mimosa, and bellini was perfect. We were a group of 8 and everyone was extremely satisfied. Its worth every penny!
This was our first visit to Juvia. Found the service spot on from the get go. Loved the cerviche and scallop dishes. My wife had the branzino, which she said was terrific. Beautiful view of downtown Miami Beach from the rooftop. My only gripe is that I do not appreciate having to deal with other guests smoking near me while I am dining- we are not in Europe here and smokers should be required to head downstairs as the second hand smoke is not only unhealthy, but quite bothersome. Had a nice bottle of Donnhoff Reisling, which was priced fairly decently.
Sexy spot with stunning outside views overlooking Lincoln Rd. Inside bar with amethyst lit countertop. Exciting menu with many yummy options : ordered kale salad , duck foie gras , and bronzino.. all prepared exceptional - was my anniversary and a special touch was added at end of meal - made the experience more memorable. My hubby and I had a great time and would definitely return . Highly recommend
We went for a Bday dinner, and everything was great until the check came. They were charging us 2 drinks we didn’t have, when we told the waitress (a new one because our original server have left) she said she needed to talk to the manager, who came and very rudely said “ I am not going to discuss with you if you had or no those drinks, I am just going to remove them from the check”. Our check was 1400$ and those drinks were 40$, but my 40$ I don’t have to give them for free! Seriously that manager needs some improvement on costumer service. Never again!
This is our second time eating here. The views are amazing. Especially with a full moon but the food is mediocre. I had the short ribs and there was little to no meat on rib. All the meat was bite size pieces. That would have been fine, but every piece was a mix of fat and grizzle. Difficult to chew. Flavors was good, but horrible to eat. You will be hungry after. Like I said, views are amazing. I would recommend a drink and small appetizer. Service was good but a bit of attitude. I’ll go back, but not for food. We paid $250 and left hungry. I ordered the Brussels sprouts as a side, but hey were loaded with grit/sand. I couldn’t eat them. Too bad, very cool place.
Juvia is a restaurant that is at the top floor of a building on Lincoln road and looks over the city. The restaurant is divided into two sections; one is outside, which looks like a terrace and has the best views; the other one is indoors, which is more comfortable with booths and a bar, but has more limited views on the city outside through the glass windows. The food was great, mostly. I ordered a king crab risotto that was excellent. I am usually hesitant to order risotto in a place I've never been to before but this one was flavorful and light with the perfect amount of crab flavor and the perfect moisture on the rice as well. The dish itself was also very attractive with a light yellowish foam covering the dish. My girlfriend ordered the Branzino with a side of roasted mushrooms and some veggies mixed with multi colored quinoa. It was a good dish but I was not impressed by it personally. She enjoyed it very much but was not blown away either. The sea bass would have been a better choice. Also, her side of mushrooms came a bit burnt the first time around and we had to ask to replace them. All that said, the food overall was very tasty and the service from our main waitress was excellent. She was very polite and answered all our questions with no problems and didn't make any mistakes with our orders. However, I felt that the other workers who I believe are bus boys, were a bit pushy in terms of picking things up from the table. I had to tell them several times I was not done with a certain plate as they kept asking if they could pick them up.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends or anyone looking for a nice place to go on a date or to celebrate an anniversary or birthday. The food was very good, the ambiance is great, the service was very good and the views are fantastic.
Juvia is a wonderful restaurant. The food is superb, the drinks creative and the ambiance quite amazing. The clientele is exciting and cool. This last experience at Juvia left one item to be desired - service. The team caring for our table knew the menu well, came to the table often and were responsive when we needed them. The issue? They came across robotic, un-excited about us being there or the exciting food they were serving. So much of a restaurant’s personality must come through its team - these had none. Your restaurant deserves the waiters it once had, personable, sophisticated (to match your clientele) and most importantly a wait staff excited about what is being served.
We went for a 50th birthday dinner and loved the ambiance! Great views, friendly service and good people watching. Mixed reviews on the food. The grilled octopus appetizer was delicious and so were the side mushrooms. The seabass dish was a bit of an odd combination with sweet eggplant that was almost too flavorful (and hardly warm) and a cucumber salad that didn't have any flavor at all. They were out of three different bottles of wine. I would try again though as the ambiance was excellent!
We had heard great things about this restaurant. The food was terrible. I had the duck and it was so dry I could hardly swallow it. The steak was subpar apps and desert tasteless. It's a shame the ambience is beautiful but I would have rather spent the $300+ at Nobu.
The ambiance at Juvia was perfect for our anniversary dinner. The view was great, service was thoughtful and well-timed, tables were well-spaced and we could hear eachother but not other guests. The food, however, was disappointing. It was well-prepared, good food, but not memorable and there were a couple complete misses.
