   Enjoyed experience and would come back. The music sound level made it difficult to hear servers and talk with dining mates. It was fine then turned up later in evening.

   Disappointed. While the food was excellent, our service was just awful. Incredibly rude. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary, which had been noted in the reservation that was made 3 months ago, and not so much as a mention. It felt like we were bothering her!! It took at least 15 minutes for the waitress to come over, we were never offered bread, no help with the menu. Not so much as a greeting even!!! Not sure if this is intentional but it was just horrific. The noise level was so high where I actually thought there was a live band playing out back. Our food was excellent but I don’t think I would ever go back and subject anyone to paying these steep prices ($54 for steak and fries…) with this kind of service. Especially on a special occasion!

   Wonderful dinner! We truly enjoyed the dinner experience. My only suggestion is with regards to the whole fish for two we ordered. If it's stated on the menu that it is a dish for two I expected to come either already divided unto portions, or accompanied by whatever utensils and plates needed for us to divide it. It came with neither so it was awkward and uncomfortable...

    Overall we had a good time but we did run into a few issues. Let’s start with the positives; the restaurant was cozy, well furnished, decorated and the outdoor space is large and pleasing. The outdoor bar was cool and I’ll definitely sit there next time. The menu included classic French meals and the drinks were great. The hostesses greeted us well and were very welcoming. The first issue was with service. It seemed we were a bother to them even though the restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived. Our server was a bit cold at first but she did end up doing well. However, the busboy was was rude.. We asked him politely for more bread and he grabbed it aggressively and walked away as my mom asked if we could also have more oil. Then a while later he came back to the table and put the bread down without any care then walked away. We had to wave them down a few times even though we came early and the restaurant wasn’t busy yet.. Another issue was with the food. Everything tasted great, it was fresh, authentic French ect. Problem was that it was all over salted. Not sure if that was an error from the night cook but every single dish we had that night was drenched in salt. Non of us finished and we were in a hurry that night so we didn’t want to send it back and waste anymore time.. it was unfortunate because I did like the food, presentation ect but the salt was unbearable. We all drank gallons of water through the night. Also, not sure if this is how it usually is but the music inside was way at a maximum loud. We couldn’t hear each other which made it a bit frustrating. I do plan on coming back to give the food another try and experience the outside bar. Perhaps I’ll ask for light or no salt when I order.

    Decent food. Unexciting menu. Subpar service. You can find a warmer welcome in any of the finest restaurants in Paris. Pretense should never over shadow professionalism. Nor should the pursuit of eclectic authenticity preclude kindness and politeness. That sums up the vibes at Justine’s.

    Awsome! The ambiance is amazing with great employees and foods. I was feeling like having a dinner in France. Even a guy in the parking lot was very kind and sweet! Definitely, go back here!

    We went later at night and though the location is pretty and the food was just okay for the price. Extremely loud music playing right above our heads and had a very loud group of people right next to us...we could hardly hear each other. Lighting was harsh too. We were expecting a quiet French garden restaurant. This wasn't it!

    Justine's has a lovely atmosphere and good food to be sure. This is the third time I've had dinner there. The steak frites is among the best I've ever tasted and the moules , very very good. I branched out and ordered the poisson special , the snapper, it was dry, and could have used at least 3 more tablespoons of sauce to make up for the over cooked fish. One guest thought their duck confit was just 'good'. Our server was great but a very curt hostess? manager? Justine? who brought over a glass of wine that we ordered, when asked for another replied "I am not your server." We were all (five of us) shocked by the rude reply and for that, I have to give the service three stars. I have always loved this place and looked forward to eating there but might think twice about returning. I might recommend Justine's with a caveat.

    If you’re expecting fine dining with great service, this is not the place at all. The interior dining has very loud music with shouting diners and the service is minimal. However, most of the food is very good, but not great . Avoid anything sushi-like. If you’re looking for expensive good food, high-energy French bistro with very basic service, this is the place.

    Our server seemed annoyed that we didn’t get more food. When we closed out we tipped well and sat chatting for a bit and her manager walked over and told us to leave because they had another reservation but her tone was rude. Our server hadn’t told us there was another reservation and it would have been nice to get a little heads up at the beginning of our meal instead of being rudely rushed out like that. We spent a good amount of money there and they really didn’t appreciate our business.

    Duck was super dry, which is a bit odd for duck confit, the creme brulee was like a quiche - super eggy, and the fish was dry and served with pure butter. The octopus was well cooked but that was best part. The ambiance was nowhere near as well developed as I had been led to believe, seemed more like garage sale furniture put together. For $175 for two ppl and the hardest restaurant in austin to get reservations, I expected more...

    I booked our reservation a month in advance because that was the earliest we could dine there. Parking is always hard to find for Justine’s because I think a lot of the Central Machineworks overflow park along the street. Our reservation was booked for 6 pm, right when they opened their kitchen. Our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered the escargot, half dozen oysters, octopus, French onion soup, ratatouille, steak tartare, bolognaise, and chocolate mousse. The total bill was around $130, excluding tip. Next time, I would probably go without the octopus and ratatouille. Plus, maybe try the crème brûlée. Overall, 4/5 - would definitely come here again.

    The food was good, just not good enough to pay what we did or come back except maybe for drinks and the vibe. Our server was absolutely precious though. He was so kind and helpful. Beautiful space and decent food, just not what I’m willing to fork over that much money for when there are options that are more delicious and for a fraction of the price.

    The food, as always, was great, but we felt dismissed in general. The service was well below what we’ve been accustomed to. We waited for long periods of time for each stage of the meal, and our main server forgot us at various points. So again, great food and suddenly average or below average service.

    This place is yummy!! I have been to a few restaurants in Austin now, and being a native New Yorker, I am picky. This place has an amazing French onion soup, potatoes au gratin, ratatouille and I had the special, smoked chicken, that was delicious. The atmosphere is very inviting and it is perfect for date night or girls night. The staff was absolutely charming. I loved the whole vibe.
