Margot is a great server. Meals were fantastic.
This is our 4 visit to Justine. It is now officially our favorite restaurant. The duck was outstanding!!!!
This was my second trip to Justine but the first time I had been for brunch. Generally our party was pleased with the food but we all agreed that our server was rude. As a local, I find most upscale New Orleans restaurants are accommodating with food allergies but when one member of our party asked for the omelette to be made without shrimp, our server acted like it was a horrible imposition. This was after we sat down and I spoke to him saying it was our first visit for brunch, hoping he might make some suggestions, but instead, he did not acknowledge that I even spoke. When another member of our party was served coffee, a great deal of it it had splashed out onto the saucer prior to it being placed on the table. No assistance was offered to get a napkin to blot up the excess that was dripping everywhere. I’d like to add that we had the first reservation time and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I had the pain perdu which was good but I found the brunch menu very limited. They do offer the full dinner menu and I suggest ordering from it as the selection is much better.
Slow service, we’re also notified that what we ordered was no longer available half an hour after ordering. Burger was mediocre. Cool atmosphere though.
Our salads took 2 mins to come out but our entrees took over an hour. Our waiter made sure to take a couple of things off our bill for the trouble and made us feel comfortable. The ambiance was great but the food was not memorable and portions were pretty small. Better for a date night if you're looking to impress a girl with the surroundings (very trendy and instagrammable).
The place looks amazing, but the food is just not special in any way. No one at a table of 8 loved their meal. The best thing we had was raw oysters – which obviously require 0 talent. Short ribs were ok, but barely warm and the carrot side was awful. Wife's mussels were ok. She liked her app, a burrata dish. Pretty good desert. Mediocre service. But at least it was really expensive!
Restaurant overall was excellent, but we had a terrible waitrr or maybe he was just having a bad night - didn’t tell us about the specials, when asked about the differences between two available oysters just said all farmed oysters are the same, my husband received the wrong salad, I didn’t receive my side with my steak, we had to flag down other waiters to find him to correct errors & order wine.
We absolutely loved our evening at Justine! The cocktails were wonderful and Dana, our waiter could not have been more welcoming. I would highly recommend trying this French Quarter eatery if you have not already! The French Onion Gratinee and the Tuna Crudo were among our favorites, as well as the Murder Point Oysters, Poisson Amandine, Moules & Frites & the Octopus Vinaigrette! The meal as well as the decor and ambiance are hard to match in this city of great restaurants.
Took a long time to get food but it was delicious
Restaraunt is nicely decorated. Food was outstanding Great service.
We had a great dining experience at Justine! Our server, Liam, was great and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and the drinks were great! It was our 15th wedding anniversary, and they helped to make it a really special night!
We had a wonderful time, as always. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is outstanding, the service highly professional and personable... a perfect place to bring friends and visitors to New Orleans.
Great food and service. Thank you
Absolutely fantastic in every way! Food and service were great and the combination of dj and some great live “atmosphere” made for my favorite night out in New Orleans!
A restaurant experience not to be missed!
Loved our meal and the cool vibe with DJ Pasta. Started with raw oysters and onion soup and both were great as was the octopus vinaigrette. Nice wine selection! The Sunday special was the French Dip and I probably wouldn’t order that again as it didn’t have much flavor and the bread was too tough to chew. We tried 2 desserts—the pot de creme and banana cream. I’d recommend both. The restaurant is beautiful and I will definitely return soon.
Chef Daniel is the best Chef in NOLA!
Great place! Charming, great service and food was delicious... plus it’s on a less boisterous French quarter street/more of a locals spot. Would definitely go back.
Quite good but not NOLA
Overall I liked the restaurant. The issue I had was the amount of food compared to the price. It was expensive for the amount of food you receive. The staff was very nice and it was clean.
Lovely dinner and ambiance! Especially enjoyed the magician and theatrics!
Our first time to Justine. Beautiful place, cool atmosphere and music, very friendly and attentive staff. Interesting menu that combines classic French bistro cuisine with New Orleans/gulf coast elements. We are not big eaters and understand that at most higher end restaurants the emphasis is on quality and presentation, however the portions were quite meager. My wife and I shared the octopus app, and 2 entrees. While we certainly enjoyed our dinner, for the price there should have been a bit more to the portion size. Visually, it presented as a small amount of food. When our plates arrived we both said "that's it?" With that said, we both enjoyed the experience and can't say enough nice things about the staff. We will certainly go back, but maybe just for a glass of wine and apps.
Food is over priced luckily it was a business lunch.
Chill Tuesday night but inventive service, exquisite food, and amazing atmosphere. Justine is something special.
The food was wonderful. Our waiter did not understand what we ordered so we had to change how we said it. Example- moules to mussels. He also forgot about us for a while. I think he was new. Loved the ambience.
Overall, we had a terrific experience. However, our $43.00 filet was just too small for the price. There was no value in that dish as served. Otherwise, it was fantastic!
Bar area was fun. Not enough menu choices for me. Also noisy
Great food and incredible service. The spiced short ribs were a standout.
Very nice overall. Overpriced cocktails and some of the entrees were underwhelming. I’d go again, though.
Must say the restaurant itself it’s beautiful, loved the entertainment(dancers). Our waiter very nice guy, however, there was a older blonde lady you can tell she was a manager that cater to every table except for ours(We were the only people of color in that section) Hope you get where I’m going. She even came to the table next to us to take the dirty napkins off the table but did not speak to us, however, she went around every table in our section Poured water, brought wine and spoke to the other guess but NOT ONCE did she speak to us. I intentionally try to make Eye contact with her and every time that she looked at me and she saw that I’m looking at her she will quickly turn away to avoid making eye contact with me. Definitely wasn’t surprised by the racism at all! Will never return!!!
Excellent cocktails and food and fun atmosphere.
I really wanted to love Justine - I'm a huge fan of Le Petite Grocery, so I had high hopes. The appetizers were great (especially the burrata and tomato salad and the tuna crudo), the wine list extensive, fun cocktails ... but then came the entrees. Two of us had the fish amandine (way too heavy on the almonds and the fish was bland) and one had the grilled cobia which was just "okay." The spinach gratin side was super loaded with bread crumbs on top, and very little spinach. Overall, the three of us agreed that we were "underwhelmed." Unfortunately, Justine will not be somewhere I'll return (except perhaps for drinks and a light bite - the restaurant is beautiful, and the front "porch" area could be delightful in nice weather).
The food was amazing! The staff made our night so enjoyable.
Staff are terrific and have great knowledge of tbd menu and the wine and liquor list. Food is terrific. Love the deserts.
The food and attention by the staff was great. However, the noise level in the restaurant was a bit too high for my tastes. Otherwise, I did enjoy the evening.
Had reservations with my wife. It was her birthday and we decided to have dinner there because a colleague of mine recommended Justine. One if the best places we’ve eaten at. It was excellent and delicious. I would recommend and done at Justine again.
Wrapping up celebrating my sister’s bachelorette was incredible thanks to the wonderful dinner we had at Justine’s. We were treated so kindly and the staff was warm, knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor! Def will go back!
Justine exceeded my expectations! I can’t wait to visit again!
Every morsel was excellent!!! The pork was the best I have ever eaten. Service excellent. Look I am a local, and I know in the quarter there is a menagerie of people! We did not like the mime in the gold suit disrupting our dinner. He even touched one of us on the back while we were eating.
Dining out is an experience, Justine was great but NOT the mime.
We went there for my husbands birthday lunch. The service was excellent. We had the octopus app. And the tuna App. Then split a burger. Everything was the right temperature and cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to go again!
