scottish salmon was fresh and tasted delicious. The truffle popcorn was nothing special.
In this covid pandemic I have to say I felt very comfortable at Justin, tables more than 6 feet apart, a one way passage clearly marked through the tables, bathrooms and tasting room and all staff wore their masks.
A beautiful place with some fabulous wine! Doesn’t get much better than that. Would recommend to anyone!
We arrived late. The girl in the front didn’t handle us being late, almost like sorry you missed out. However, they did sit us, after complaining, for the tasting and that was fine. The ambiance was great. Viviana our tasting server was very nice with big smiles.
Dinner was good, albeit expensive, but the next morning I had major issues. Although I can’t prove it was Justin’s food, I believe it was Justin’s food.
Our waiter was fantastic, and beyond the next morning fiasco it was fine.
I will not return.
It’s a beautiful place. Enjoyed the wine and the scenary.
This experience was slightly disappointing than my first visit. Food was great and the wines were superb - as always! The slightly disappointing part was the service. The ladies who greeted us were very thoughtful. We requested to be notified if one of the Tesla chargers became available - and they told us promptly as soon as there was a spot to charge. However, our server, Val, was not very accommodating and welcoming. She approached our table and asked where we were from and bluntly said: "Well, okay. I'll bring the first glass for both you" without even asking if we wanted the tasting flights, or just get a bottle or two, or if we wanted to order something to eat already. She was dismissive that as soon as she dropped off our first glasses of the tasting flights, she just walked away without asking if we wanted to order something else. We had to grab someone to ask if we can order food - which was the reason why we visited. She came back to tell us she put in our appetizer order and that she will come back with the rest of the tasting flights. Again, dismissed our need to order for entrees. We always had to get her attention for anything we needed - definitely not the kind of service I had on my last visit. I understand the need for less exposure/contact with people due to social distancing but don't be dismissive. Aside from that, the rest of the experience was great that despite the "not-so-great" service, I still decided to be a member of the Wine Society.
Simply delightful. We look forward to the next visit.
Great pre fixe dinner with their awesome wine pairings. Very nice property and ambiance.
Lunch menu: Salmon was perfectly cooked. Burger was popular and delicious!
We were so excited to have lunch here. Granted, it was July 4th and they were busy, so keep that in mind during this review. To their credit, ALL of their staff were wearing masks - which is excellent. Upon being greeted the hostess informed me that other people with the same time reservation as us had already been seated so we had to wait (we were five minutes early.) No problem - I told her we were not in a rush. Then, we were seated in an odd side section, with no other patrons around, inside. I requested an outside table, per our original reservation and they were accommodating and found one for us, under the overhang, which was appreciated. Our server was very nice, but all the other table around us who had sat after us, received their food well before us. I felt like she had too many tables. The grounds were beautiful and the food was good, not great, although overpriced for what you were eating. I am sure my husband's lettuce came straight from the garden but some of his lettuce leaves looked like they had been attacked and there were holes in them. The setting was lovely and everything was very clean.
Given the current situation, the experience was still very nice. We just did the tasting and they brought all the wines at once, which was nice, so we didn’t really have to wait in between wines.
No assistance in dealing with heat, requested fan, did not receive, while others did. Did not even get to taste wine after lunch.
Love the salmon and ambience
Always been a fan of Justin wines for years, finally made it to the winery. Great location and layout considering the Covind restrictions. Food was amazing, loved it and a great lunch with wine
The winery was busy and could have done a better job managing its inflow of guests. The wait staff seemed stretched (no fault of theirs) - they were trying to keep up with the volume but they were too busy on the holiday weekend and the management should have kept guests at a more manageable level.
I ordered the burger and it was lukewarm at best. Again possible because they were busy they missed attention to detail. I did expect more for a $25 burger.
Tremendous flavors and lovely reds. Great service in a beautiful garden setting.
I reserved the restaurant and they were closed. We ended up having to skip our third winery because we didn’t have lunch.
Best Brussel Sprouts EVER. great place to go for Lunch. a bit far, but well worth the drive
So appreciated the chef sharing his/her recipe for the Brussel sprouts. They were out of this world!!
Great place anytime but especially good for a special occasion. Food, service and the setting are unmatched in the area.
It is a good experiences however it is just ordinary. The food is ok and not as good as the wine it self. We are the winery member since we like their wine. However, we do not feel bad not being able to get the dinner reservation but only the launchz
We did the wine tasting and ordered food. All wines we tried were superb. I got a burger and it was divine. The experience was excellent and we bought some wines to go as well. My sister became a member. It was affordable for the membership. I highly recommend this winery/restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.
Unfortunately we drove all the way out there to enjoy lunch & wine and though Open Table took a reservation for lunch, they were not serving lunch. We made the most of it, but would have preferred we reservations for a restaurant that was actually serving lunch. Justin needs to tell their IT person to get it in gear.
Amazing food, wine and service. 5 Stars all around, I will definitely make a point to come back again when I am in the area.
Had a pleasant lunch on the patio along with the tasting offered. There is plenty of space to be covid-19 compliant and the staff did a great job! Only the second day that they were back open and had a few supply issues but the food was well prepared and tasty.
We enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Justin. Our entrees, pot pie and avocado toast were amazing. We enjoyed wine tasting after lunch, as well. Service was wonderful, knowledgeable and professional.
Very bad culinary experience
Soup was like warm
Veal has to add lots salt
Steak was almost cold
Sure they even had a chef in the house
Things are barely put together
Four course tasting dinner with two courses are. Red and both were not cooked there and then
Do not recommend to dine there
A 17 miles of drive from downtown totally not worth it especially at $150 per person
One can find much better food in downtown
Great good, wine, service and atmosphere. We had a great brunch with fantastic weather so we lucked out. We would definitely recommend brunch and are planning to go back again.
Ate outside for lunch. Fabulous setting and ambiance, but not much else. Very limited, ordinary lunch menu which pushed me toward the hamburger. Very tasty, but who needs a $25 hamburger for lunch. Chicken pot pie was better, but still no value. No beer selection, but obviously they want you to drink wine!
Great food, wine and service!!! I have to write more because the first line was not good enough and won’t take it unless I write more.
This is one of my husband and my favorite restaurants for brunch or lunch. Despite the chilly weather, we sat outside and were very comfortable with the heaters on the patio. Our server recommended the biscuits and gravy and it was outstanding! We were able to take our time when ordering and did not feel rushed at all. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with brunch and lingered at the table while we finished it.
This is our second time for lunch at the Justin winery. This time we came back with our friends and our daughter. It’s a beautiful environment, we were out on the patio, and the service is always very thoughtful and accommodating. The food was delicious. And the wines by the glass are very reasonably priced. It’s definitely a must visit.
Loved David and the crew, who made this a very special experience.
Great flights of wine. Thoughtful food selection to go with the wine
We made our reservation for 10 several weeks ago as it was a special lunch for a 60th birthday. We were seated outside on the patio. It was raining and windy. They truly tried to make it ok, with lots of heaters, blankets etc. but to be honest it was cold, made our food cold and it was just not great. They had another large party seated inside, and I think they were industry people. Honestly, I think they should not have taken two large parties or figured out another plan. If its super rainy and cold, not ideal.
Simply outstanding dining experience, one of the best if not the best. Two hours of sheer bliss. Wine for every course paired excellently. Super service, everything done to perfection. Really memorable, can't say enough about the staff, chef, and the server was more than words can describe Having been in the finance industry (now retired) and coming from San Francisco my wife and have enjoyed meals all over and some memorable some not. This ranks as one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Highly recommended. Big shout out to the chefs and staff at Justin Winery for giving us a great meal.
An absolutely spectacular meal - one of the best we've had in years. Impeccable service and wonderful ambiance. A bit difficult to get to, but absolutely worth it.
Amazing. An experience to remember.
If you're planning on wine tasting at JUSTIN Vineyard, you MUST also plan on eating at The Restaurant! It's so worth-while and just completes your visit.
The food was very well done. Super delicious. Presentation was great. The location very nice. Nice views.
