if you would like a beautiful setting and background then dine out on the patio. Even when the outside temperature was 100, there were fans and shade making a nice atmosphere to enjoy our adventure. we started with their cheese plate with a glass of their Reserve Cabernet. We sipped the wine and enjoyed the many tasty pieces of cheese, olives, nuts, pates, and sauces. This was followed by a savory piece of salmon, tender, and flavorful, not overpowering as some fish. Ending with their Cholate tort. They provided plenty of cold Fiji water for both of us. Being the designate drive I appreciated. So do hesitate, make a lunch reservation and enjoy it.
The wine selection was outstanding. Service excellent. Ambiance was great. Pricing a bit high.
Great food, great wine, beautiful setting, friendly staff.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience! My boyfriend and I came for a wine tasting. I made the reservation for 1 PM, but we did not get seated until ~1:30 PM. The hostess was very kind and brought us waters while we waited.
The tasting include 4 wines, a rose and 3 reds (Justification, Isosceles, and Reserve Cab). I have had the Isolceles before, and it was my favorite of the reds! We ordered Brussel sprouts as a snack, and they were pretty good. Very rich in flavor.
They followed social distancing, all staff wore masks, guests were required to wear a mask when not at their table, and they disinfected in between parties.
I bought wine to take home, and my tasting fee was waived ($100+ purchase to waive the $35 fee).
Justin is on the pricier side, but a good experience overall!
The wine, food and atmosphere were wonderful. It was certainly a treat to have lunch on the patio.
Justin was amazing. Susan was incredible. The food was fantastic and the wine was even better. We left as members with 6 bottles of wine!
The landscape was beautiful and seating appropriate for the COVID 19 restrictions. I’ve been to multiple wineries in the past and Justin’s came highly recommended. The wines and service were average. I felt as though the server was doing the bare minimum with little care to provide further education on the wines my party and I tasted. It felt as though we were a nuisance to her even though we were very pleasant. There were only two of us. We were well aware of the $35 tasting prior to going. I’m not particularly sure if the price tag for the tasting (4 wine tastings) did it, the server, wine, or a combination of all three, but we both left a little disenchanted/dissatisfied with Justin’s. We bought a couple of wine bottles. The next winery we went to had a $20 tasting for 6 glasses. And the server threw in another one to try, understanding our preferences. We ended up spending $1000 not just due to the wine, but the very respectful, knowledgeable, knowing the Customer’s needs, and kind treatment. In a time of the pandemic, your service carries heavily on your Customer’s opinion. Do better. I won’t suggest Justin’s to any of my friends and family, except for it’s beautiful landscape. We won’t be back.
The scenery was breath taking it was green, crisp and fresh. The ambiance was perfect for all types of groups and garden added a special touch to take beautiful pics for awesome memories.
Loved it!! Jill was amazing and the food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!
We are members. Wine is great and love that they have a restaurant. Very pretty grounds.
We went for our anniversary, my hubby’s favorite winery. Due to Covid it was not crowded and they are taking steps to separate and serve safely. Wonderful time
I love Justin Winery. I am a huge fan of the location (though it is a long drive) and I am enamored with their wine. I have only eaten the food once, but my salmon was cooked perfectly. I am a member of the wine club and will continue to be a member for a very long time.
Beautiful grounds and relaxing atmosphere. Loved the food and wine!
Great protocol/procedures for covid 19 social distancing. Wait staff was extremely accommodating and overall great service. We really couldn't have asked for anything more during our time there. Beautiful views and great food. Will absolutely come back.
This was a wonderful break from sheltering in place. With the wine pairings, we identified some fabulous wines to buy for home consumption. The garden was lovely and the summer evening memorable. I wish I had brought my phone for pictures. The fixed menu was excellent.
It!s a long and winding road from Paso through beautiful country, , so we had to moderate our drinking, as we usually do. No time to get careless.
This was a very expensive dinner but money well spent for a specialL occasion.
Although we do not get to Paso Robles often we do enjoy their wine via our wine club membership. But I must say it tastes so much better sitting on the patio of the winery and soaking in the view.
excellent food but limited choice.
Service was excellent.
scottish salmon was fresh and tasted delicious. The truffle popcorn was nothing special.
In this covid pandemic I have to say I felt very comfortable at Justin, tables more than 6 feet apart, a one way passage clearly marked through the tables, bathrooms and tasting room and all staff wore their masks.
A beautiful place with some fabulous wine! Doesn’t get much better than that. Would recommend to anyone!
We arrived late. The girl in the front didn’t handle us being late, almost like sorry you missed out. However, they did sit us, after complaining, for the tasting and that was fine. The ambiance was great. Viviana our tasting server was very nice with big smiles.
Dinner was good, albeit expensive, but the next morning I had major issues. Although I can’t prove it was Justin’s food, I believe it was Justin’s food.
Our waiter was fantastic, and beyond the next morning fiasco it was fine.
I will not return.
It’s a beautiful place. Enjoyed the wine and the scenary.
This experience was slightly disappointing than my first visit. Food was great and the wines were superb - as always! The slightly disappointing part was the service. The ladies who greeted us were very thoughtful. We requested to be notified if one of the Tesla chargers became available - and they told us promptly as soon as there was a spot to charge. However, our server, Val, was not very accommodating and welcoming. She approached our table and asked where we were from and bluntly said: "Well, okay. I'll bring the first glass for both you" without even asking if we wanted the tasting flights, or just get a bottle or two, or if we wanted to order something to eat already. She was dismissive that as soon as she dropped off our first glasses of the tasting flights, she just walked away without asking if we wanted to order something else. We had to grab someone to ask if we can order food - which was the reason why we visited. She came back to tell us she put in our appetizer order and that she will come back with the rest of the tasting flights. Again, dismissed our need to order for entrees. We always had to get her attention for anything we needed - definitely not the kind of service I had on my last visit. I understand the need for less exposure/contact with people due to social distancing but don't be dismissive. Aside from that, the rest of the experience was great that despite the "not-so-great" service, I still decided to be a member of the Wine Society.
Simply delightful. We look forward to the next visit.
Great pre fixe dinner with their awesome wine pairings. Very nice property and ambiance.
Lunch menu: Salmon was perfectly cooked. Burger was popular and delicious!
We were so excited to have lunch here. Granted, it was July 4th and they were busy, so keep that in mind during this review. To their credit, ALL of their staff were wearing masks - which is excellent. Upon being greeted the hostess informed me that other people with the same time reservation as us had already been seated so we had to wait (we were five minutes early.) No problem - I told her we were not in a rush. Then, we were seated in an odd side section, with no other patrons around, inside. I requested an outside table, per our original reservation and they were accommodating and found one for us, under the overhang, which was appreciated. Our server was very nice, but all the other table around us who had sat after us, received their food well before us. I felt like she had too many tables. The grounds were beautiful and the food was good, not great, although overpriced for what you were eating. I am sure my husband's lettuce came straight from the garden but some of his lettuce leaves looked like they had been attacked and there were holes in them. The setting was lovely and everything was very clean.
Given the current situation, the experience was still very nice. We just did the tasting and they brought all the wines at once, which was nice, so we didn’t really have to wait in between wines.
No assistance in dealing with heat, requested fan, did not receive, while others did. Did not even get to taste wine after lunch.
Love the salmon and ambience
Always been a fan of Justin wines for years, finally made it to the winery. Great location and layout considering the Covind restrictions. Food was amazing, loved it and a great lunch with wine
The winery was busy and could have done a better job managing its inflow of guests. The wait staff seemed stretched (no fault of theirs) - they were trying to keep up with the volume but they were too busy on the holiday weekend and the management should have kept guests at a more manageable level.
I ordered the burger and it was lukewarm at best. Again possible because they were busy they missed attention to detail. I did expect more for a $25 burger.
Tremendous flavors and lovely reds. Great service in a beautiful garden setting.
I reserved the restaurant and they were closed. We ended up having to skip our third winery because we didn’t have lunch.
Best Brussel Sprouts EVER. great place to go for Lunch. a bit far, but well worth the drive
So appreciated the chef sharing his/her recipe for the Brussel sprouts. They were out of this world!!
Great place anytime but especially good for a special occasion. Food, service and the setting are unmatched in the area.
It is a good experiences however it is just ordinary. The food is ok and not as good as the wine it self. We are the winery member since we like their wine. However, we do not feel bad not being able to get the dinner reservation but only the launchz
We did the wine tasting and ordered food. All wines we tried were superb. I got a burger and it was divine. The experience was excellent and we bought some wines to go as well. My sister became a member. It was affordable for the membership. I highly recommend this winery/restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.
