We had a reservation for 5:15 and they told us that they closed at 5:00. They would not seat us at all and said they did not even have our reservation.
We were only ones in the place and our server was constantly answering phone- she served all wines at one time for our flight, but gave no explanation of the wines. She was pleasant, but very expensive and not at all an educational experience for your wines.
This is quality stuff and it’s worth every penny.
Service was excellent! The wine was the absolute best. A little pricey but worth it for sure!
Vernon was so kind, knowledgeable and welcoming! We felt safe with the clean, 6ft apart tables and dividers. We liked having our own private tasting table!
The tasting room was very quiet. All COVID protocols were in place. We felt safe there. we would have liked more interaction with the staff, however.
Justin wines always a cut above. Disappointing that there is no food pairing and/or a cheese pairing at a minimum, however, Justin wines are incredibly enjoyable all in their own. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Vern was awesome! Made our experience exceptional.
Beautiful space and nice experience, with beautiful presentation of great wines and food. My only disappointment was there was zero dialog about the wines with the onsite staff.
We had excellent discussions at Booker & Epoch, with the staff, regarding vintages, tastes, smells flavors, etc. Justin was more like dining at a restaurant. Perhaps that was the direction given to the staff due to Covid.
Delicious cheese/charcuterie platter, wines always delish there, but pricey. Tables private.
The wine was delicious as always. Excellent service!
(They had a very professional setup given the restrictions due to covid; dividers placed between tables, with minimal disruption to the interior design, and the servers wore gloves and masks.)
We had a great tasting. Both the wine and food were delicious. Great place to enjoy all of Justin’s wine.
Vern was great with our group, very patient. Good wine.
Awesome time and great wine! Loved the truffle popcorn!
Great experience and service. Food was also excellent.
In these days of covid-19, many things have had to change, and wine tasting is one of them. Hats off to Justin, for they have done an admirable job of adjusting their tasting room to these new requirements. You can't just drop in, you have to make a reservation ahead of time. when we arrived we were shown to a private table and appropriate distance from other neighboring tables, and the layout was very comfortable. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and as Justin members, our tasting with complimentary. they have a small food menu, as is also required these days, and the Panini we had was tasty; I wouldn't come for the food, but it was certainly good enough to enjoy this part of the experience. Overall, if you like Justin wine you will not be disappointed by the adjustments to the traditional tasting process required.
Great wine, good service and lovely snacks. The menu is augmented—I hope—due to COVID-19, but was still tasty. I really missed the blue cheese sliders. This is a modern place to enjoy wine in the downtown Paso area; hands down the best wine lounge in the downtown area. The current situation had the atmosphere a little slower than normal, which worked nice for an early evening visit. The hidden gem was some of the library wines that were available.
Raphael was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. Love going to Justin downtown.
Excellent service and experience!
I love all of Justin wines and was not disappointed during my first visit! Food, service & wine were spectacular!
Tried snacking on the popcorn but it was SUPER salty so we were unable to enjoy it. Wine was ok but not good enough for us to return to. We were the only party there and received very little service. No interaction or explanation of the wines from the hosts, only a menu and pamphlet was provided. The ambiance of the place was really nice but the lack of personal service really outweighs it.
This was a wonderful wine tasting experience. We learned a lot about Justin wines and were extremely happy with the service that we received.
Beautiful place and delicious wine!
Snack items were pretty minimal. I guess I'm spoiled from visiting the Society Lounge and having the amazing cheese pairing with the tasting.
Not worth the time to visit. Service not that great.
Nice to be back tasting wine again after the quarantine. Thank you!
We are more in favor of visiting vineyards as opposed to tasting rooms. They were very accommodating given they had just opened on limited seatings after the stay at home orders. The atmosphere was quiet and very modern. The wines were not as good as I remembered especially at $20/glass
It was a wonderful experience! We weren't sure what to expect since it was the first weekend of reopening, but it exceeded our expectations! Carson was a very attentive and patient server for our group! Wine was excellent!!!
Great wine great service! Definitely recommend!!!!
Kids should not be allowed to occupy a entire table while parents enjoy drinking. Kids were loud w little parent supervision
Incredible service! There was a delay getting our French fries and they comped the entire meal. They went way beyond necessary to compensate for the delay.
Wine room is very nice and it was nice to do the wine tasting with food
Rafael was extremely helpful about the we nes
We love coming to the tasting room downtown! They were a little short staffed the night we were there but the lady that was helping us did an excellent job considering it looked like she was the only one working. Wines are always consistently delicious and the appetizers were excellent! We will have to try the sliders next time!
Food and wine are both delicious here. Less busy than the main Justin site but we like both locations.
The best wine in downtown Paso! The downtown tasting room offers the same quality pours you get at the vineyard with the convenience of being downtown. The room is sleek and modern, with surprisingly comfortable seating (make a reservation if you want to sit during peak hours).
The place was slammed, but the friendly staff made sure to keep our wine tastings on track. My wife and I each selected a glass to enjoy with our light snack. The menu is limited, but very tasty. Each dish seemed to pair perfectly with their suggested pairing.
The tasting fee is pretty high; but you are tasting quality and expensive wine. Worth the price.
From my first phone call for directions, to the awkward uncomfortable few confusing minutes we spent in the cold, empty room, the only thing I can say is their service was consistent. Consistently poor. No table ready for our "seated tasting experience", though the only souls in the place were the two behind the counter. Credit to the young man, he at least acknowledged our presence. The woman did not do much as squeek, smile or greet us in any way. We were told we could stand for our tasting and they do NOT do pairings. After more questioning they do indeed offer selections of cheese, charcuterie and I believe a few appetizers, which is what we were expecting, paired with a tasting, or flight. I don't know what he meant, "We don't offer pairings, but you can sit at a table if you want", and by this point was not feeling any desire to spend my hard earned money in this establishment. They need to remove the booking option from Open Table or educate the employees on their "Seated tasting options".
We made an Open Table reservation 6 months ago and were disappointed to see the tasting room closed when we arrived. The Tasting Room manager responded to our message and graciously invited us to come back free of charge.
We returned this past weekend and were greeted by the lovely Terri. It was hectic and busy with the downtown event going on but she made us feel right at home! She guided us through the tasting and even shared a bonus pour with us. The wines were delicious! Tasting room was modern, bright and very different than any others we had seen in Paso. We did not get to try the food but look forward to on another visit.
We also have to give Terri kudos for deftly dealing with an inebriated young man that insisted on a tasting even though he needed no more alcohol. Terri was gracious and professional, even when he was rude and inappropriate. She is awesome!
Rafael was a fantastic host. He was perfect for our group of girls. I would definitely go, the wine is fantastic, the food is good and the staff is exceptional.
