Junoon Main Dining Room
Very well done renditions of standard Indian cuisine. It having a Michelin star I expected a little more creativity in the menu but perhaps I ordered the wrong dishes.
Expensive but great food and service
It was a good fusion experience. Wasn't a fan of the desserts.. but the mains were good!
A great restaurant for very special occasions. Food, ambiance and service is excellent but it is expensive so please be prepared for a dent in your wallet.
They Brought out a complimentary dessert for my parents anniversary which was nice
Had the tasting menu which was unique and wonderful together with outstanding service made it a memorable dining experience.
Very disappointed on this visit. That’s 2 in a row made me write this. I’m surprised to even write this for Junoon.
Food was extremely subpar or below not much choice on the menu. Too much oily and not consistent. Service was disappointing did not understand the ask and modifications on some of the menu items unheard of Junoon.
Not sure I’ll be back!!
Opentable made reservations in main dining room but got seated in patiala room. This need to updated with opentable. There should not be Fine print about lunch not been serve in min area.
Amazing meal. It was a business dinner so we decided to do 4 course dinner. Appetizer garlic butter pepper shrimp and eggplant chaat were very tasty and never had in any Indian restaurant . Ghost chicken tikka and lamb Boti kabab as middle course was just right amount of spice and perfect. Our main course lamb chop and lobster were amazing too. Dessert were quite non traditional but less in sugar and more out of the box. We requested saffron custard from tasting menu for dessert and it was so light and flavorful with pomegranate, hibiscus sorbet.
It was more than filing but quite an experience . Go hungry and enjoy the dinner at junoon dining room. It is classy, unobtrusive and less noisy. Highly recommend .
Overall it was a great experience. The service was great. They were very attentive to our needs and made modifications as some of us do not need duck, scallops etc. Some dishes were very creative and unique while some were very traditional. By the time we got to the thali, we could not eat at all. Uthappam was so so. Scallops, salmon were extremely good. The thali was very traditional nothing great about it. Corn kitchadi, saloni macchi and kalakki were very nice. The kalakki was quite spicy and we got the rice cake which was ok. The keema pao was looking like a muffin but fried but quite tasty. Artichoke mutter was very delicious. I got the anar kesar which was ok.
Did not live up to the hype. Had no Vikas Khanna touch, needs to remodel. No effort at all over presentation and overall food quality was average. Overall very poor, will not recommend to anyone. Better try one of the other Indian restaurants.
This was a find for me. Great food and presentations; portions were just the right size, and the flavors and combinations were fantastic. The wine pairings were also excellent. I will definitely be back, and will take friends and visitors.
This is great food. If you are vegetarian you can have good selection here also. Lamb, duck and more. I love it.
One of the worst experience. I will never ever go here. Open Table reservation was for 830. At 930PM, we got nothing but a glass of water. Worst service. Pathetic treatment. Useless staff.
Fantastic dining experience!
We went out for a last night in NYC and picked the restaurant week menu. Junoon does what , IMO, restaurants should do and offers carefully curated and judiciously portioned meals for $42, which is a real value in a dining room where a three course meal is normally $83. And there were some wine specials such as the really mineral laden Albariño for $35 a bottle ! The atmosphere is very attractive, the food thoughtful and flavorful as one would expect with its Michelin star, and the waiters work as a true ensemble with a goal of pleasing the diners (I no longer take this for granted) . I think this place is vying for Best Indian in city - maybe not as complex as Indian accent but a much nicer room!
At last, a restaurant where you can attend to the beautifully-presented food and hear yourself think.
The food was average at best, surprising for the Michelin Star status. The ambiance and service was excellent.
I love dining at Junoon. I always recommend them to others. They have great service and everyone always loves their dishes. I've been several times and will continue to dine there.
Outstanding restaurant. Excellenf service. The food was amazing. Came for restaurant week. Will definitely come back to try their regular menu. They staff was going beyond with their service.
This is not a good restaurant. The sauces are heavy, the meat is overcooked, the portions are skimpy, the prix fixes are ridiculous and totally not worth it, the space is dark and generic. The one well cooked dish we had was the red snapper, but it was a very small portion, and the "mysore" curry was a thick, red tomato mess that had nothing to do with Mysore and tasted like it had come out of a can. Never again.
Great experience. Creative take on seasonal ingredients with delicately balance spice on every course on tasting menu, we never had such experience in any Indian restaurant . Friendly service , creative cocktail list and tailored wine list. Great place to celebrate special occasion .
Great restaurant. Great food and service. Love the tasting menu. Loved the small bits coming like surprise in the middle of every courses. Great again, will be back.
Our visit to Junoon was a fantastic experience! Everything we had was perfectly made, seasoned, balanced and beautiful.
Absolutely amazing. Never disappoints.
Went to my foodie friends for restaurant week, and was totally happy and impressed. Great food and drinks, perfect level and combination of spices and flavor profile. Staff was professional and gave the right amount of attention and were very helpful with wine selection. Will definitely come back for a special occasion.
Great place to have lunch with teammate. It was quite noisy at noon but we enjoyed it. We ordered restaurant week lunch set which includes two courses. Love it! Perfect experience except that the sirens went off during our lunch. But will definitely come back!
I sit on the bar area and no one served me for about 10 mins.
Found a piece of metal coil in my grilled chicken.
Exceptional service and an amazing take on modernizing Indian cuisine. Would highly recommend. Worth every penny spent!
Outstanding service and food is spectacular!!
Was expecting more out of a michelin star restaurant. Food flavor profiles' were similar to that of an indian buffet w/ nice plating.
The appetizers were really awesome. Highly recommend the eggplant chat. The entrees were good too, however a bit too rich for us
Excellent food and very good service . Their tasting menu was out of the world
The food is definetely good but not worth the price!! The AC was not working good when we visited and we literally were sweating while having our dinner and the management did not care much for our concerns.
Loved everything they have especially the dessert! :)
Amazing meal, amazing dining experience again in Junoon! The 8 course tasting menu was out of this world, authentic food, great service! I was glad we got the time to talk to the chef and visit the spice room downstairs!
Not worth the money. Apts were nice however the mains were missing the basic taste of Indian spices.
