What Insiders Are Saying
Juno is a quality sushi spot in Lincoln Park. It's casual but pricy at the same time.
The food, drinks and service are excellent here. Our server Derick was extremely knowledgeable and helped make it a very enjoyable experience! The boneless chicken wings are super tender and delicious, and the vegetarian sushi roll is one of the best I’ve ever had.
One of my favorite places to eat great sushi. The service is always top notch and professional, yet warm, and the food is always fresh. As a gal who loved sushi before it became popular, I am very in tune with details such as the rice (the right firmness and level of vinegar flavor) and the cut on the fish that tops the rice. They get it right every time!
The food was amazing. The flavor combinations and food textures were sublime.
Juno is always an amazing experience when you’re looking for traditional style sushi with a slightly modern twist on some classics.
If you look for sauces or crazy complicated rolls, go somewhere else. This is a purist dream and the sushi chefs never fail to over deliver on high expectations!
Really special sushi, not the ordinary neighborhood place. Food is so delicious, service is perfect, ambiance is good. Expensive.
Very very veryyyyy fresh sushi. One of the best sushi restaurants I’ve been to in Chicago. Little pricy but so worth it!!
One of the best sushi restaurants in Chicago! We have been there several times...only negative this time
was there was quite a delay at one point in getting our food....
Awesome，very good tasting！
Best sushi I’ve had in years! So fresh and interesting. This place is a total hidden gem.
The Best! Just Perfect Sushi as it should be! Will go back as soon as possible.
Terrific sushi well prepared and rolls have very interesting flavors.
The portions are just too small for the price.
The wagu meat was chewy, other dishes were tasteless.
We will not be back.
Sushi was tasteful and delicious. High quality ingredients used. Awesome spot for a date night or small group in Lincoln Park. I would recommend and definitely go back.
Loved the food when I came years ago (before the fire). This time some items were great, others were ok. The food and quality are
Good but extremely overpriced. the reason the restaurant is not full on a Friday night is probably because of this. It’s a top rated restaurant and it was fairly empty. Lastly, unfortunately one of our ordered items were missed compeltlru, so that was a bummer at the end of our meal.
My husband and I travel a lot and love trying restaurants we’ve never been to before, so we’ve eaten at a lot of different places. This restaurant and the meal we had ranks in our top 5.
Frequent diner at Juno. Worst service we have had dining at Juno. Food is always wonderful but this service was poor.
Absolutely amazing sushi, great service and nice ambiance. Could not think of anything negative, as we have had a great evening.
High prices and very small portions. Our dinner felt like just an appetizer course.
The sushi rolls were complex and extraordinary. They were delicious. This is not your ordinary sushi restaurant!
Everything was amazing. Roll with octopus was phenomenal!
I put in the open table request, and asked the host, to celebrate the birthday of one of my clients I was entertaining and they never did anything, so it was a disappointment. Otherwise, absolutely amazing food and great experience!
Juno displays the Japanese culture. Place is clean, staff is nice and professional. Definitely will return
I got robbed... this place is tasty but holy smokes is it expensive. Not worth it not tastey enough to justify $300 for two people for dinner and drinks... plus you are still hungry after. Definately not going back.
Didn’t like this place much .. it was empty on a Thursday night. Tiny portions, which were ok but not great or even close. Staff had kinda snooty attitude
We quickly finished initial order and went somewhere else.
No wow factor at all .. cannot recommend.
Terrific tasting dishes and very good service!
Fresh and very good sushi and sashimi maki and great unique appetizers. Pricey but very worth it
Juno never fails! From the cocktails to the food to the service! we brought friends from out of town, one NYC and the other San Francisco...they loved it...we did as well...
Excellent dinner! From start to finish, the experience was nearly perfect. We were seated for our reservation right away. Our waitress knew the menu exceptionally well, and walked us through the more popular items. She noted things that tend to sell out, things that they fly in daily and a few of her personal favorites and why.
The sushi itself was amazing. A little pricey, but for the quality of fish that we had, definitely worth the money. We splurged and got some fatty tuna among other things.
Cocktails were solid. Not the best but on par with the rest of service at a minimum. The sake that was recommended to us was surprisingly light, and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
My only quip was about the size of the tables. For how sushi is presented, with drinks, water, and etc, table ends up very crowded. The kitchen does spread your food out, but nonetheless it's a little tight.
Overall, one of the best dinner experiences we've had in the city.
Food and service were phenomenal. There were many missed design opportunities in the space. The color temperature of the lamps in the pendant lights over the sushi counter is too cool. Drop to 2700K and the space will feel much nicer.
Amazing Juno king and queen sushi!!
The food, service, and ambiance are all above average when taken out of context. All of the staff, both Front and Back-of-house definitely played their parts well.
However the $330+ bill for three people was a bit excessive for the food/service quality.
For this price there are a number of other restaurants that I would choose over this one.
Amazing service and incredible food! One of my favorite sushi restaurants in all of Chicago. The servers are thoughtful and make great recommendations. The oysters were some of the best we've ever had. That mignonette = life changing. Other amazing dishes we tried were the crudo, seared scallops, smoked hamachi, Juno king nigiri, fresh hotate, Japanese uni. Seriously, go here.
Just wonderful in every regard. Deserves Michelin star(s). Service is patient, knowledgeable and attentive. Lucky to have Juno as a local!!
It's not our first time in Juno but I don't think we are going to come back again for a while. The service was absolutely slow and horrible. For example, we waited almost 40(!) minutes to order desert and after the waiter finally find the time to come to us he didn't even asked us about deserts and just handed us the check (that we didn't ask for). We felt welcomed and taken for granted. The food was good as usual but I think they need to refresh the menu a bit.
My juno experience wasn't that great. Service was great, sushi quality is okay but not impressive. The size of sushi and maki was rediculous. Fish was paper thin and I think this place is way too overpriced.
Really nice dining experience in all respects. The many sushi dishes were wonderful and there were options for non-sushi eaters, in particular the seared scallops were excellent. All of the staff were pleasant and professional.
This was my first time to Juno. The food was excellent, but the serving sizes were extremely small. I wouldn't recommend showing up very hungry unless you want to order a ton of items off the menu. For the price point, I wouldn't recommend it.
This is the best sushi I’ve ever had. The waitress was very knowledgeable and accommodating to my MIL’s gluten free diet. The chefs choice nigiri was delicious. The wine the waitress chose to accompany our order was perfect.
Small portions for the price, but very good quality food.
The food was incredible. Our waitress Grace was SO knowledgable and made our experience feel very personalized!
