We haven't been to Juno since before the pandemic, so we weren't sure what to expect. Our other go-to sushi restaurants that we have visited all seemed to have gone downhill in quality which is too bad. Juno, on the other hand, was even better than I remember! The oysters were fresh and delicious and we couldn't stop eating the sake and akami nigiri. The nigiri was super fresh and sized perfectly (this is not common; most nigiri served in the city is oversized and difficult to enjoy in one bite). I will definitely be returning soon since Juno is now our favorite sushi in Chicago!!
The smallest piece of the sushi every had around world, it don’t even enough to let you testing the test, and crazy expensive, we have two people spend $200 don’t even let you feel finish the appetizer yet. The front desk reception lady is mean and cold. Will never come back again and never recommend to any people
Consistently one of our favorite sushi restaurants in the city. Same chef as Mako, our other favorite tasting menu. Fish is all amazing quality with fun creative items. Not cheap but worth the experience.
Amazing experience, staff, and owner even helped serve us. Most fish fresh from Japan. Unique and excellent quality
We enjoyed the chef’s choice nigiri, Juno King, snow crab nigiri, and a ceviche roll. All of the nigiri was exceptional. The pace of the meal was nice as well, not too rushed and we didn’t wait forever between bites either. Highly recommend this spot!
Pricey, but the best sushi you have ever tasted. Highly recommend!!
I’m a server so it pains me to have a bad experience and write about it, but my experience at Juno was horrendous - I have never left a bad review in my life. It cost $200 for a meal for 2 where the waiter was totally inattentive. It took more than 10 minutes to be greeted which is fine on its own, however, but he also would just disappear while he didn’t have any orders in for us and empty drinks for maybe 25 minutes? I don’t know if this man was simply given a larger section than he could handle or if he just did not care because no apologies were made nor any acknowledgement of the massive wait times between his visits to attend to us. Before our entire meal was even brought out, we just asked for a check and left. It was a super unfortunate situation and a huge waste of time and money.
Food extremely overpriced and terrible service, would not recommend.
Lose the hostess - her innate ability to turn a great experience into a forgettable one is not what the owner’s of Juno want (nor what they deserve). Send her to Manhattan to work in some art galleries and only take her back once the hoi polloi of the art world have put her in her place. What a shame that I even had to speak with her - otherwise, it’d be nothing but plaudits for Juno.
Amazing food and ambience, especially the scallops w squid ink spaghetti and the smoked specials. Great ambience and service, good wine selection. A bit pricey but worth it! We’ll be back!
Fantastic place! Sushi was fabulous and Cassandra was great!!
The taste is very good, the sashimi is fresh and rolls very well-cooked. I would recommend Juno to friends but with a little concern about price.
One of my worst dining experiences. Food was ridiculously overpriced ans the portions minute. Who ever ate sashimi sliced so thin you could see through it? Never again. When we complained the manager was very offhand like she couldn't care less. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Juno King is a bite not to be missed, as is the tuna trio, to appreciate the lean/med/fatty differences.
Sake flight is tasty, but whiskey flight is a bit pricey at $45
Hi-end pricing means you can't do this often, but it is tasty with good knowledgable service.
Everything was delish
Juno was a recommendation from our friend. And they didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and fresh. We really enjoyed every bite of it. Our server was very attentive and helpful, awesome staffs, special thanks to Eric for an excellent service.
Juno will be one of our “go-to” places to eat when we visit Chicago again.
The food is excellent, however, very expensive. Not sure I will return.
Always a lovely experience! Food is impeccable, service is great, and the atmosphere is beautiful. We’ll be back!
Food was excellent, high quality, very fresh, beautiful presentation.
Our waiter was awesome
Our waiter Grace was just outstanding! Food was perfect.
Another incredible experience at Juno. The nigiri is amazing and Aaron is the best waiter
This is a very good restaurant for Japanese traditional food. The wine list is very limited but the food is excellent.
They initially tried to seat us in the bar, which was unacceptable. I'm heavily tattooed and my partner has a youthful appearance. The 2 whiter appearing folks in line behind up got ushered right into the dining room. so I kind of felt like I was profiled as being poor or whatever. Our smoked sashimi dish was brought out to the wrong table and the cloche was removed then just put down on out table with a minor apology, major service faux pas. The woman who waited on us was a consummate professional in a sea of mediocrity. Still I spent close to 300$ and was a little let down by all the hiccups.
Absolutely Amazing experience. Luckily Chef BK Park himself was there and hand made all our rolls. A must visit place for all the sushi lovers. Highly highly recommended!!
AMAZING AMAZING!! Ask the waiter/waitress for recommendations
As with any restaurant owned by master sushi chef BK Park, Juno always delivers outstanding food quality and incredibly fresh fish. Juno is a personal neighborhood favorite.
This was an amazing surprise! I went with my best friend for her bday and we were both obsessed with the sushi. Be sure to try the fatty tuna!! I will definitely be back soon.
Great fish, and great service from a whole team of servers and staff. Not your average Sushi place. Upscale and maybe a little pricey for many, but the quality and service is there. Unique Signature small bite are a must have when ordering. Get at least one of the Smoked Fish choices...smoke infused under a glass dome just before presentation at your table. Family owned and they are right on top of things happening in the restaurant. A very well run establishment.
Juno provided painfully slow service - we waited over an HOUR for our food *after* ordering (the restaurant was not busy) - and they served quite mediocre sashimi that was obviously not particularly fresh. Our server and manager were actually quite rude in a very uncalled for manner. Instead of offering a free cocktail for the poor service, we received a lecture. Do not go here. Overpriced at best.
The service (Eddie was our waiter) was excellent - he was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and also very attentive and caring about an allergy at our table. The food was incredible - very fresh with inventive new flavors and presentation. A wonderful dinner!
Great food! Smaller portions than I’m used to, but the fish is flown in EVERY DAY FROM JAPAN!!
They don't do anything special for birthdays, not even an acknowledgement even when you have it on your reservation and tell the waiter. Overall food was good but capping off a birthday dinner with something would've been nice. And yes we ordered and paid for a dessert, did not expect something free, but a candle or any type of acknowledgement would be nice. Other restaurants at this level put your name on custom menus, or offer a candle on a dessert, or a scoop of ice cream or at least something.
Restaurant was great! Servers were nice. Food was excellent!
You can’t really tell from the pictures but the sashimi and nigiri fishes were paper thin! Though the taste is good and presentation is nice, not good value for what you’d pay.
The food was absolutely fantastic. Very expensive…the triple dollar sign should be four dollar signs haha! But if you’re looking for an A+ meal with A+ service, Juno is your place. Our waiter Patrick couldn’t have been better.
Our server made our experience outstanding!! If you are open to suggestions and a surprise you are in for a treat if you offer your server the opportunity to set you up with your own tasting menu essentially. Every single thing we ate was delicious and of the freshest and best quality. We will put Juno at the top of our Chicago restaurant list.
top notch sushi and great service. prices were high for a mediocre ambience but worth it for the high quality preparations.
Excellent service, great sushi. Front bar area is a bit crammed.
