What Insiders Are Saying
Juno is a quality sushi spot in Lincoln Park. It's casual but pricy at the same time.
Absolutely incredible food. Delicious, artistic, and fresh. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Chicago.
Best food we have had in quite some time!
Way too expensive. I've had sushi all over the world, including Japan and this has been by far the worst experience I've had. Not that the fish, or any other dish for that matter, was bad - it was actually very fresh and savory - it is the price they charged for each nigiri and slice of sashimi that blew me away. Wait! didn't I know how much they were charging up front? Of course I did - it was right there on the menu. Surprise, surprise: the pieces were about half of any sushi of comparable price from any restaurant anywhere. In a nutshell, if you value your money go elsewhere for sushi.
Great service, good food, ok menu, shamefully small portions.
One time stop.
Nigiri is fresh but smaller compared to other cheaper Japanese places. Be prep to spend over $60 to get full.
Juno is probably one of the best sushi restaurants in Chicago. Worth it.
Excellent food combined with a really pleasant atmosphere. Great service without being overbearing.
Fantastic food!!! One little mishap on the food but our waiter was very gracious and re-made the selection for us and then comped desert. The sushi is great!
Amazing. Best sushi in Chicago without a doubt. Nigiri and sashimi always exceed expectations just be sure to save room for Mochi.
As always the food was fantastic but I was super disappointed with the service. We sat for about 15 minutes before being offered a menu or a cocktail. Once the cocktails were ordered we waited another 10 for them to arrive. Then, we had to ask for soy sauce when in the past it was provided at the start and waited for additional drinks to come.
Love fine dining sushi and this is one of the best in Chicago! Highly recommend!!
Food was well prepared, but small portions for the cost. Nigiri came out with wasabi already added, and for some pieces it overpowered the fish. Miso soup had a few more vegetables added than an average soup, which I appreciate!
Portions were very small. Sashimi pieces traditionally should be bigger than nigiri, but that was certainly not the case. Nigiri rice broke apart when picking each piece up with chopsticks. No complementary mist soup. They charged me $3 for a small bowl of plain rice, something that should have automatically come with the sashimi. Waitress did not introduce herself and did not smile. After paying $150 fir two, we were still very hungry so we went to Matsuya on Clark (Japanese chefs and a much better experience).
Juno was amazing. The food and service was superb. WE could not have asked for a better night to celebrate a friend getting married!
great product and use of it
modestly large plates so you could try a lot
service was not attentive, takes a lot of time to get real water not this usual chlorid liquid they use everywhere in US! no comments on what we ordered or ate. poor winelist. no cab order.
great food poor service!
Had the omikasa and it was amazing. The best sushi I have had in Chicago. Outstanding service and a good sake selection.
The food was unique and delicious. I always know I will get an outstanding meal there.
Need to preface this with - I eat a lot of sushi at very nice places.
Had about 15 pieces of fish. (Pseudo Omakase)
Juno was just “OK”.
Quality of the fish could’ve been better.
Dressing the fish could’ve been a lot better.
I shouldn’t need to add anything to my fish when it gets served.
More than half the fish needed more soy.
Some of the accoutrements could’ve been portion better.
A bunch of garlic, yuzu, and ginger with wasabi didn’t work out well for some of the pieces.
Was served “Otoro” when it was barely chutoro quality.
Again - I eat a lot of sushi at very nice places so I am aware of what I eat.
Juno wasn’t a “disappointment”, but I expected more from them.
If you don’t eat at high end sushi places, Juno will be a good experience.
Delicious food, phenomenal server. We had two of our six not show up, but our server was super kinda and very knowledgeable.
Well constructed line up of sashimi and nigiri offerings, in a quiet dining area with good service. Would highly recommend Juno to anyone looking for a reservation for under 4 people. Seeing what came off the line, this is not a restaurant to visit if you prefer creative rolls or heavy ingredients. Go here if you want quality fish without a lot of window dressing (menu also lists the origin of each fish, so you have a sense of what you're buying). The value is excellent and it's a big reason we keep coming back. Overall, excellent neighborhood option.
This sushi place is a must experience place. The sushi is fresh and the attention to gastronomic detail is exquisite. The crudo appetizer is a must; the sake (both liquor and salmon) also.
The food, drinks and service are excellent here. Our server Derick was extremely knowledgeable and helped make it a very enjoyable experience! The boneless chicken wings are super tender and delicious, and the vegetarian sushi roll is one of the best I’ve ever had.
One of my favorite places to eat great sushi. The service is always top notch and professional, yet warm, and the food is always fresh. As a gal who loved sushi before it became popular, I am very in tune with details such as the rice (the right firmness and level of vinegar flavor) and the cut on the fish that tops the rice. They get it right every time!
The food was amazing. The flavor combinations and food textures were sublime.
Juno is always an amazing experience when you’re looking for traditional style sushi with a slightly modern twist on some classics.
If you look for sauces or crazy complicated rolls, go somewhere else. This is a purist dream and the sushi chefs never fail to over deliver on high expectations!
Really special sushi, not the ordinary neighborhood place. Food is so delicious, service is perfect, ambiance is good. Expensive.
Very very veryyyyy fresh sushi. One of the best sushi restaurants I’ve been to in Chicago. Little pricy but so worth it!!
One of the best sushi restaurants in Chicago! We have been there several times...only negative this time
was there was quite a delay at one point in getting our food....
Awesome，very good tasting！
Best sushi I’ve had in years! So fresh and interesting. This place is a total hidden gem.
The Best! Just Perfect Sushi as it should be! Will go back as soon as possible.
Terrific sushi well prepared and rolls have very interesting flavors.
The portions are just too small for the price.
The wagu meat was chewy, other dishes were tasteless.
We will not be back.
Sushi was tasteful and delicious. High quality ingredients used. Awesome spot for a date night or small group in Lincoln Park. I would recommend and definitely go back.
Loved the food when I came years ago (before the fire). This time some items were great, others were ok. The food and quality are
Good but extremely overpriced. the reason the restaurant is not full on a Friday night is probably because of this. It’s a top rated restaurant and it was fairly empty. Lastly, unfortunately one of our ordered items were missed compeltlru, so that was a bummer at the end of our meal.
My husband and I travel a lot and love trying restaurants we’ve never been to before, so we’ve eaten at a lot of different places. This restaurant and the meal we had ranks in our top 5.
Frequent diner at Juno. Worst service we have had dining at Juno. Food is always wonderful but this service was poor.
Absolutely amazing sushi, great service and nice ambiance. Could not think of anything negative, as we have had a great evening.
High prices and very small portions. Our dinner felt like just an appetizer course.
