You do not get enough food for the money you pay for... that's all I got to say.
Quality of sushi was very good
Food takes TOO LONG
Possibly the best sushi restaurant anywhere. At least as good as any, anywhere
very expensive for what you get. ultra thin slices. although what you get is tasty.
Excellent menu, but be ready for small portions:)
Tasting menu was spectacular- customized to our party. Recommend highly
Having lived in japan for 5 years we don’t always find Chicago sushi satisfying but Juno knows how sushi should be done. Both traditional fare and elegantly updated modern takes on traditional sushi are delicious. Juno is confident enough to serve their fare without tubs of soy sauce on the table. Juno will be a regular spot for us!
The service was really good, and the food ingredients were very fresh. I can tell they use the pretty high quality fish to make the sashimi, which was my favorite!! Definitely will go back again!’
Juno is our favorite restaurant in the city! The Juno King is phenomenal. Great ambiance and service. Food is so fresh.
Great service, food tasted great. Little pricey.
Really small portions... would have rather had higher prices and better slices of fish. Sashimi was so thin that it was hard to taste, not cut appropriately. In general fish quality was bland, service so-so. We had some spilled sauce on our table that sat there throughout the whole meal.
Best sushi in Chicago! Love that they have inventive non-sushi dishes as well so you can mix and match.
All was excellent. We have a handicapped friend and it was a bit difficult for him to negotiate the 2 steps up leading to the restaurant and even more so going down. However, the staff was wonderful and extremely helpful in getting him up and down. It is not to my eye wheelchair accessible but possibly that was not visible to me.
Best Japanese restaurant in Chicago. If you're visiting or a local you should definitely try out Juno. You will not regret it. If I could I would dine here weekly.
Fancy presentations with great fish, very small portions
Great date night spot and awesome sushi! Will be a new favorite for us!
Amazing Sushi & the Presentation was incredible. The sushi is cut on the small side, so you need to order a TON of food. Well worth it..
The food and presentation were extremely good. The pasta with lump crab meat and the queen roll with scallops were the favorite. Their edamame is a very tasty and unique treat too!
This place is extremely loud, there isn't any sound absorption. It seems it's concrete walls and floors without any carpet or sound absorbing accents or paintings.
So if you are expecting a quiet sushi experience the bar is a much better offer. I'm not sure the noise can be fixed but the food and service are exceptional.
Juno is our #1 date spot - we love the staff and the fish is the freshest in all of Chicago.
The food at this restaurant is exquisite. Everything we had was delicious and beautifully presented, especially the tuna nigiri, the gomai, the oysters and the sesame ice cream. The chef takes everything to a new level, and the food was as good or better than in some of the excellent places where we dined in Tokyo. Service was attentive and caring. The noise level in the restaurant was so high that we asked to sit in the bar, which worked out well.
Surprised with the poor quality of sushi rice and nori. This restaurant definitely is not authentic and didn't taste right for the high price charged too.
Never seen nigiri and maki so pathetic, so small, and the rice was not cooked well. The ingredients were not fresh at all. Don’t even mention the desert, we ordered chocolate creme brûlée, it was not enough chocolate flavor and the strawberry was not fresh as well. The music was pretty loud. The server was very attentive though.
Great Japanese sushi. A bit overpriced for the area, but definitely worth a try.
The King Juno, Queen Juno, and the two smoked sushi bites they have are some of the most unique and delicious pieces of sushi I have ever tasted. The cocktails we had were pretty tasty.
I took an Uber paid $25 from a hotel one way to go to this restaurant because pictures on the website showed good looking sushi. Although fish was fresh, the sushi rice (Shari) was terrible!!!! As a sushi lover from Japan, their sushi was the the worst sushi I ever had.
The low quality of rice were cocked too dry to eat. In Japan, after the fresh ingredients, Shari is the most important part of sushi; an apprentice spends years to learn how to select rice and cook it well.
I could not even order directly to a sushi cook even at the counter. Also, the show case displayed mainly non-fish items like cucumber, eggs, etc.
They charge so high like a sushi restaurant in NYC where actually a Japanese chef offers A high end sushi. Do not go here!!!
Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and the dishes were phenomenal, best sushi I’ve had in Chicago
Service excellent, food is good but on the expensive side. Presentation for nigiri and other items are great. Sashimi bowl presentation ok. I like that the music is not overbearing and loud!
Consistently amazing food and service - this time was no exception!
Amazing sushi, lovely setting and service
I don't want to throw the people at Juno under the bus here—they were very kind—but my wife and I had a rather poor experience there the other night. We love sushi, and have high expectations; we went to Juno hoping to have hi-quality nigiri. Their nigiri tasted fine, but the fish was a razor-thin slice on a thick wad of rice and the natural flavor of the fish was completely overpowered by seasonings and sauces. Good sushi in general and nigiri in particular should not hide the taste of fish; at the very least a good sushi restaurant shouldn't skimp on the amount of fish. AND it was at least twice as expensive as one of my favorite sushi restaurants in our original hometown of Cambridge. So in the end we paid an exorbitant amount of money for a bunch of flavored rice, and went home hungry. Granted that one of their signature rolls was slightly better than the nigiri we had ordered, I still feel that Juno is superficially-oriented and caters to people who don't actually like or appreciate sushi, which is especially disappointing seeing that they were highly rated on several sites. And I say all of this not as a purist who believes sushi has to always be traditional...but it at least shouldn't give the impression that you're making bank on selling people moderately tasty, overpriced slabs of rice. Sorry Juno :(
Deicious sushi and friendly helpful service but it took a while, 2.5hrs to get through appetizers, entree and dessert. Noise level was loud, couldnt hear person across from me. Expensive for size of proportions.
Always consistently amazing sushi. So fresh! The best in Chicago!
Food excellent, small portions. Would have liked more guidance from server on how to order/number of dishes
Wonderful service and delicious food! We'll be back.
Juno has the most amazing, melt-in-your-mouth, high quality sushi in Chicago. The presentation and service are at a premium, and you get what you pay for. Be prepared to drop some $$$ here.
Good foods with quiet environment! What a great found!
Good quality sushi.
Very noisy place.
Too high price for the qualitativa.
Very attentive staff. Knowledgeable about the menu and patient with our questions. Presentation was excellent and quality of the dishes was outstanding.
