Juniper Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We had the PAC theater 3 course meal. I had carrot soup, trout and creme brûlée with cranberries (HEAVEN!!). Hubby had Caesar salad, beef stroganoff and chocolate pie. The only reservation we could get was 4:45 and the restaurant was empty except for 4 other tables when we left, so I don't know why we had to come so early....
Return visit but this time went with 8 lady friends from out of town - we loved everything (salmon, pork chops, stroganoff) except poached eggs in the middle of the Caesar salad- no one like that! (We ate around them). Service was great and happily accommodated separate tickets for each of us. Definitely recommend them for fun night out.
The food was terrific across the board. We really enjoyed the carrot soup and crab cake appetizers. Dinner was lovely and the bread pudding is to die for! What really took the shine off the evening was being repeatedly reminded by the waitress that there was a reservation for our table immediately following ours. I would expect more customer centric service at a restaurant of this quality.
So very disappointed. Have dined there several times but this experience was not good. When asked to be seated at a different table, the request was not received well. I ordered the beef tenderloin which was tough and chewy, although it was cooked medium rare as requested.
Juniper has consistently good food and service, and is close to the PAC and not far from the BOk Center. The seasonally sourced menu and weekly specials are good, and while the craft brew list is short, they do have some local favorites on there. Great place for a date night on the way to a show!
Great dining experience...our server Stephen was very attentive and provided good advice when asked. The NAPA cabbage wraps were incredible. My wife had the 10 oz filet with the veal demi-glace...looked and tasted great from what I hear! I had the pork chop which was excellent as well. Wine selection was outstanding. Decor is very unique to Tulsa and overall a very pleasant dining experience. Looking forward to the next visit.
This is the second time we’ve gone with a group to Juniper. We are from out of town, so it is on our list of places to eat when we visit Tulsa. Our service was attentive, and our waitress was well-informed. The food was excellent and creative, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Cocktails are fun and interesting. Overall, a great experience both times, and would go back again.
I had a wonderful experience at Juniper Restaurant on October 20. I was a solo diner, but that in no way, shape or form affected the treatment I received. Too often solo diners are assigned bar seating or less desirable seats simply for being solo-not soo at Juniper.
Since I was playing an opera later that night I didn't order any wine but instead ordered San Pellegrino water. The server brought a good-sized bottle to my table, enough to last me through the whole me. He also brought me a stemmed goblet with a wedge of lime and poured my first glass for me. He also brought me a basket of warm bread served with a whipped chili butter. It was this attention to detail that highlighted my meal.
I started out with the Sweet Carrot soup, topped with a dollop of crab meat, which was absolutely sublime. I had the brown butter trout for my entree, which featured steelhead trout. The accompanying grilled broccolini was most tasty, and the farrow had the texture of a creamy risotto. I finished up my dinner with vanilla bean creme brulee, which was creamy and had just the right amount of caramel crust.
Service was absolutely superb. Every member of the team I encountered gave their all to make sure I had a first-rate dining experience.
Juniper is an easy walk to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. They offer pre-theater menus - three courses for $35, which is an absolute steal. They also offer tasting menus for this in search of a culinary adventure.
My only regret is that I didn't try Juniper sooner. I was under the impression that they would be too expensive, and boy was I wrong! I'll be back!
Finding Juniper is why I love OpenTable! We were in Tulsa for the day shopping and was looking for a quality restaurant that had some vegan/vegetarian options so everyone would have a nice meal. I could not have been more pleased! The staff and food were exceptional! The chef even stopped by the table to be sure everything was prepared to our liking! We tried their crab cakes which were going to be new on the menu. Well worth indulging. The Stroganoff and fried duck breast were a treat, as was the creme brûlée for dessert! We had a delightful evening and will definitely be back the next time we are in Tulsa!
Wow this restaurant was amazing!! I loved the food. I didn't have a cocktail, but they looked so fun! It was a more sophisticated restaurant, but the food was scrumptious, the wait staff was friendly and it wasn't noisy! I had an amazing dinner and I will definitely go here again! It was expensive, but I think it was worth it. Everything I tasted was top notch!
We've been here several times and enjoy the food and atmosphere. Tonight, they had a bar tender we had not seen before. He was clearly very good at making drinks, but stood there in front of us, talking to a waitress about some story he had dropping "F" bombs among other things. Huge turnoff and highly unprofessional. Again, the food here is excellent, nice ambiance, but they need to have a talk with the young bar tender about how to act in front of customers.
This was our second visit and my wife and I loved the entire meal again! We were celebrating our anniversary and couldn't have imagined a better experience with our food and waiter. Perfect score on service, Stephen was our server, and food quality. We will always go back when we're in Tulsa!
As a recent convert to a plant-based diet, I've found it very difficult in Oklahoma to eat out. Juniper had numerous options and they were all delicious, from the fried mushrooms (HUGE portion) to the tomato gratin, salads and farro. My only minor complaint was that I ordered a beet salad that needed more beets in it if it is going to aspire to be a beet salad. That's said, it was a very good salad. Drinks were also very good. And our server, Jason, was perfect.
We did the 5 course prix fixe meal with wine matching. Phenomenal meal. Absolutely outstanding from first course to the last course. The duck and chocolate pie with the wine pairing for both were off the charts good. We have spent our last two anniversary dinners there.
Every person on the staff was happy to be at work. A pleasurable experience to say the LEAST.
