Juniper Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We did the chefs 5 course meal with wine pairings. It was wonderful experience, great food and wines. Also, excellent craft cocktails and waitress willing to work w me on creating a delicious spicy marg. A little High prices but so worth it! Definitely a top restaurant in downtown Tulsa in my opinion!
We discovered Juniper on a web search for our weekend trip to Tulsa. The menu looked good online so we decided to give it a go. One of the best meals I ever had! I chose the tasting menu WITH wine pairings and every course was a delight! I even liked the duck, which I considered substituting (not an option). Everything EXCELLENT! Highly recommended.
The service was exceptional. We felt they were intently focused on making this very special ... in a way that was all about us. The food was expertly prepared ... delicious! While not an outsized wine list, it is packed with excellent options. Save room for dessert!!!
This was our first visit to this restaurant. Typically, we enjoy fine dining and have heard many wonderful things about Juniper. We were disappointed that restaurant was so noisy that it was distracting. Our server was good, but less than engaging. We saw many other servers who were engaging with diners, and ours was not. The appetizer and entrees were very good but we were disappointed in the salads. For the price, I don't think we will return.
We both got the tasting menu and we're pleasantly surprised at how well balanced the food was and how well well everything was executed. The chimichurri served with the grouper was the only disappointment (bland without enough acid). We will definitely return.
So many compliments to the Chef! Outstanding as always! Trout dish perfection and the chicken curry a delicious experience! The lamb stew is a must!!!! Cocktails and wine selection an experience as well! Our top choice when we are in Tulsa! Now, let’s talk about Steven! The best asset to your restaurant! He made our date nite truly memorable! See you next trip!
The service and food were amazing. Staff was very personable and informative about this dishes. We went for an early New Year’s Eve dinner and could not have been more pleased with our dinner and the experience. I especially loved the tiny individual hand towels in the rest room which after using you out into a basket. Very nice touch! Loved it and will be back.
First and foremost I never write reviews, but after visiting this restaurant I had to let others know how great the food is. At first a little skeptical because it kind of gave you that cracker barrel feel with the antique look, but after a few minutes being greeted by the staff you knew you were in an upscale restaurant. The waiter was great and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
We celebrated Christmas with my son and daughter in law. I choose to eat a vegan diet and my daughterinlaw needs to eat gluten free. There was only 1 entre vegan option, curry sauce with rice. It was delicious. I would suggest offering an appetizer and a dessert for vegans as well as gluten free. Thanks for the great night!
First Impression for my Friends and I: 1 Star. (This is personally my 4th time here) I hyped Juniper up to my ladies from out of state for a long time. We get to the restaurant and the hostess basically treats us 3 beautiful black women as if we didn’t belong while happily catering to other patrons as we are waiting. I walked in and told her we didn’t have a reservation and she said we are fully booked for the rest of the night. We were bummed but I was like, maybe I can go to the site and make a reservation real quick as there were several tables open. I was able to make one immediately, showed it to her and then she gives me this ridiculous look and says, “Oh, I see you here now” providing excuses for her behavior. If Stephen the waiter wasn’t there to witness this, I’m sure it would have been different. He was totally ready to seat us. I told the hostess I was just there the week before and didn’t have any problem. Food Service was 5 Star. We were lead to our table, sat down, enjoyed our delicious meals and I spoke with the manager at the table. She apologized for our experience, said “this is why we need a manager up front” and came back with coupons. I happily accepted but will be reluctant to bring my best friends from out of state here ever again. Our server Maddie was amazing to us and her service was 5 star. Just wish our ladies night didn’t start off the way it did with that girl as hostess. :0(
I rarely go to a restaurant where I like EVERY bite I try, but this restaurant became one on a very short list of restaurants that I enjoyed everything. The Green toast appetizer and the mushroom soup were to die for! I even bought an extra mushroom soup as a take home item. I’m definitely a fan and will go back as often as possible.
We had the PAC theater 3 course meal. I had carrot soup, trout and creme brûlée with cranberries (HEAVEN!!). Hubby had Caesar salad, beef stroganoff and chocolate pie. The only reservation we could get was 4:45 and the restaurant was empty except for 4 other tables when we left, so I don't know why we had to come so early....
Return visit but this time went with 8 lady friends from out of town - we loved everything (salmon, pork chops, stroganoff) except poached eggs in the middle of the Caesar salad- no one like that! (We ate around them). Service was great and happily accommodated separate tickets for each of us. Definitely recommend them for fun night out.
The food was terrific across the board. We really enjoyed the carrot soup and crab cake appetizers. Dinner was lovely and the bread pudding is to die for! What really took the shine off the evening was being repeatedly reminded by the waitress that there was a reservation for our table immediately following ours. I would expect more customer centric service at a restaurant of this quality.
So very disappointed. Have dined there several times but this experience was not good. When asked to be seated at a different table, the request was not received well. I ordered the beef tenderloin which was tough and chewy, although it was cooked medium rare as requested.
