Juniper Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Juniper was excellent. Never rushed, they held our table for over an hour while we enjoyed cocktails at the bar. The house drinks were amazing. Our meal was outstanding and the service was top notch. Juniper is as good as any 5 star restaurant you will find anywhere in the US. Tulsa has a real gem!
We made reservations at this restaurant to entertain some of my clients, overall dinner was fantastic with superior service! I had the Salmon, although it was lacking in flavor somewhat, the presentation was lovely, a cream sauce or another option would have enhanced the flavor and made it perfect! Everyone else at the table enjoyed their choices. We all had dessert, the Bread Pudding is delicious!
The food was delicious. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable about the the menu. I wouldn't consider eating here on a frequent basis considering the price. However, the quality of the food was worth the price. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place for a date night.
Food was very good as usual . However, Service was lacking. The two food runners were excellent. The server was not. She never asked us if we needed anything or if our food was good. She only filled water glasses without a word said. Her name was Amanda. Also, the hostess was not at the hostess stand when we arrived; a server came over and handed us off to the hostess when she arrived. However, the server never great us or said a word to us, Staff definitely needs some customer service training.
Wanted a nice place to take my wife on a date, and this hit the spot. The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice despite it being a little noisy from the crowd and music. I had the double bone pork chop and my wife had the duck breast. Both were cooked very well and really tender. The tapas was great as well. Overall the dining experience was amazing. Will definitely be back for future dates.
Juniper is one our favorite Tulsa restaurants--we have been there dozens of times, and have never been disappointed. Our latest visit, however, stands out as the BEST ever at Juniper. Neil, the relatively new Executive Chef of Juniper, has added several menu items that have raised the bar. Crab cakes for one--packed with an uncommon amount of lump crab. Even on the East Coast, we have never had better crab cakes. The show-stopper, however, was the Curried Fried Chicken. It alone is worth the trip! Of course, Juniper's signature Carrot Soup is always a winner.
Not that it is a big deal, but Juniper's new marble flooring really spiffs up the place, adding a lot of panache to the old concrete floor.
We chose Juniper based on the suggestion of a friend. We ate early, as we were going to see the Moody Blues at the BOK. The crab cake appetizer was hands down the best I have ever had. The tenderloin in the beef stroganoff was very tender and I believe the pasta noodles were homemade. My wife had duck breast, which was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. We also tried a side of fried brussel sprouts, just to get outside our comfort zone. They were lightly fried in a reduction with balsamic vinegar and pickled cranberries. Loved it! The dessert selections looked wonderful but we were too full to try anything. We will definitely return!
We did the chefs 5 course meal with wine pairings. It was wonderful experience, great food and wines. Also, excellent craft cocktails and waitress willing to work w me on creating a delicious spicy marg. A little High prices but so worth it! Definitely a top restaurant in downtown Tulsa in my opinion!
We discovered Juniper on a web search for our weekend trip to Tulsa. The menu looked good online so we decided to give it a go. One of the best meals I ever had! I chose the tasting menu WITH wine pairings and every course was a delight! I even liked the duck, which I considered substituting (not an option). Everything EXCELLENT! Highly recommended.
The service was exceptional. We felt they were intently focused on making this very special ... in a way that was all about us. The food was expertly prepared ... delicious! While not an outsized wine list, it is packed with excellent options. Save room for dessert!!!
This was our first visit to this restaurant. Typically, we enjoy fine dining and have heard many wonderful things about Juniper. We were disappointed that restaurant was so noisy that it was distracting. Our server was good, but less than engaging. We saw many other servers who were engaging with diners, and ours was not. The appetizer and entrees were very good but we were disappointed in the salads. For the price, I don't think we will return.
We both got the tasting menu and we're pleasantly surprised at how well balanced the food was and how well well everything was executed. The chimichurri served with the grouper was the only disappointment (bland without enough acid). We will definitely return.
So many compliments to the Chef! Outstanding as always! Trout dish perfection and the chicken curry a delicious experience! The lamb stew is a must!!!! Cocktails and wine selection an experience as well! Our top choice when we are in Tulsa! Now, let’s talk about Steven! The best asset to your restaurant! He made our date nite truly memorable! See you next trip!
