Amazing 10 course dinner w wine pairing. Service was impeccable by server Eric. We ahead a blast for our 17 yr anniversary.
Great food, service was great and Beth friendly staff, enjoyed all dishes and the overall experience,
what a disaster. supposedly an amazing place to eat. service was horrendous. portion sizes were small. sand in the oysters. dry chicken, small menu. just a very disappointing experience.
The service honestly could use a lot of work. The server didn’t introduce herself, welcome us in, or explain the menu at all. She just dropped the menus off then came back like ‘are you ready to order?’ like it was a fast-food joint. Food was good but not great and wasn’t worth the $ to me particularly given the lacking service. A shame given the atmosphere was very romantic and the decor was great. Probably won’t be back.
We had the 5 course menu. The food was excellent. Each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Service was great as well. Very attentive and kind.
Went here for my wife’s birthday and it was a great experience and also food was delicious. Would recommend this place to anyone that wants to do something different for dinner!
If I have somerhing to critizcize, it is how hard it is to locate he place due to lack of a visible sign. We found a parking lot with spots reserved for Juniper pick up orders, but circled the block twice and could not find the restaurant. I called the restaurant to get better directions and I got an automated system saying that Juniper was taking to-go orders only -- I almost canceled my reservation. Finally my wife found the entrance. The restaurant name is really hard to see from a moving car.
Other than that, the service was incredibly good and the food extremely well prepared. Most dishes you can recognize, but they add their unique twist, making then an original new dish for you to discover.
The portions are not big, but we ordered from the pre-fix brunch menu and the three courses added up to a very sufficient amount of food.
All in all, if you can find it, you are guaranteed to enjoy memorable culinary experience.
We celebrated our 3 year anniversary at Juniper and it was AMAZING. Food presentation, taste, and service was exceptional. They even brought us complimentary champagne glasses! 10/10 recommend
We had a delicious brunch outside on a beautiful day. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. While we were there, we even made another brunch reservation in a few weeks! Can't wait to go back!
Juniper used to be one of the best restaurants in town. After Covid, it's still ok but not as special as it once was. Service has been spotty, menus much more streamlined/limited and food quality hasn't quite been there. Still a good getaway. Hopefully they will come back with a vengeance.
We were celebrating our 7th anniversary tonight. Everything was absolutely perfect! We really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the personal message on the menu as well as the champagne toast.
Every dish was delicious and just the right portion. Many thanks to ALL of the staff that made our night extra special.
10 course fixed menu was outstanding but what really made it special was the wine pairing. Highly recommend.
Consistently love this place from drinks to dessert
Had an excellent birthday dinner. This is some of the best prepared food I've ever had. Great experience.
first tie we did the tasting menu along with the wine pairing, excellent flavors through out with perfect pairing...it was fun to try foods and wine we might not order and now planning our return...superior service
We were celebrating our anniversary by trying something new-to-us. Juniper was amazing. My wife and I ended up with the 5-course vegetarian tasting menu. We were able to try 10 different dishes and not-a-single disappointment. If you are looking for a special night out, this is the place to go!
A bit expensive, but the food was delicious and the service excellent! Definitely a treat that was worth it
The food was sent out lukewarm for both entrees but very tasty..the portions were small in comparison to other Italian restaurants but it was filling. The service was great and I realize it was a holiday weekend and all of take outs..the dessert was great!
The restaurant is hard to find, but worth it once you are there. We were catching a flight and our server was instrumental in getting our meal out quickly. He had great wine and food recommendations. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy easily. Service and food was great!
Little Gem in the upcoming East Part of Austin. Very nice Industrial look/feel but modern setting. The 5 Prix Fix is a bargain with plenty of GV and Vegan options. The staff is very well knowledgeable about the dishes and explain the ingredients very well. Staff is very busy because they are serving 5 dishes. The food is very well prepared (great cooking technique) and they are using interesting and not so common ingredients. The only place in the US that you can eat Potato croquettes (a Belgian specialty).
Enjoyed their first brunch offering sitting outside. Felt very safe and the service and food top notch as usually. It will be fun to see the chef begin to experiment with the menu moving forward as this menu was very safe.
One of the worst experiences I've ever had. The food provided was nowhere near the description, quality or photos posted by the restaurant itself. The amount of food for the price was absolutely ridiculous. Being Italian, I'm sadden to say, this is my least favorite restaurant ever..
Lovely food, great service as always. They are also taking COVID steps to keep everyone safe.
Absolutely amazing experience. Eric made the incredible food even better with his expertise and wine selection. I can’t recommend this place enough. You’ll love it!
Fabulous!!
Everything about Juniper is always exquisite and very special.
We had a wonderful time!!! We will be back very soon! LOVE the decor, food was amazing and we had a nice gift at the end for our bdays which was a very nice touch.
Epic meal & wine pairings!! From the moment you walk in you realize the Juniper Team is serious about creating a gastronomy forward experience for you. The cooking techniques were spot-on, flavors were familiar with a twist & choice of ingredients were seasonally mindful. Thank You for a deliciously elevated meal, vibrant wine selection, & tremendous service.
Unique and fresh takes on Italian. Enjoyed the 5 courses and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. Some minor errors but overall enjoyable experience.
Disappointed to say the least! The crudo was inedible..
Mark was fantstic and accomodating when theres a bit of confusion on one person in our party being gluten free, Our server Eric was also great. Lovely dinner and would highly recommend.
Amazing food, great service, relaxed and stylish ambiance. Chicken Saltimbocca and Blood Orange Granita were out of this world!
Wonderfully made food and great drinks!
The food was good but the service and atmosphere was uninspiring. The food arrived lukewarm and dirty plates sat at the table. We had reservations for outdoor sitting and were placed at a full sun table. At this price point, there are better choices for a date night.
Excellent food and service
We absolutely LOVED our pre fixe meal at Juniper! The food was amazing and the service was next level. Our server was kind and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Highly recommend the risotto and the puffy potatoes. Can’t wait to go back!
This place is hidden in east Austin and SO CUTE! It’s fancy! The mood is “intimate” whether it’s with your significant other or family. Food was phenomenal. Service was great! Will definitely come back!!
Slow service, cold tasteless food, tiny portions. This restaurant is over hyped
We went to Juniper for our one-year anniversary. Making reservations was super easy! We did the Prix-Fixe menu and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with some complimentary champagne and presented the 5-course menu. Honestly, we had a hard time choosing most courses because everything sounded delicious. My favorite was the puffy potatoes. My husband particularly enjoyed the scallops. The service was amazing and our waiter was friendly and took great care of us.
Wow! My husband and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and decided on the 10 course tasting menu (you have to book at least 24 hr in advance). This meal was nothing short of spectacular. We are originally from NYC and to be honest, not very impressed with the fine dining options in Austin but this ranks in the top 3 meals I’ve ever had. Every course was prepared with care and precision. They were so attentive and kind, printed a special menu for our anniversary, and added a champagne toast. Don’t sleep on this experience. It was worth every penny.
