   We were in town on business and chose to celebrate my husband’s birthday with the coursed experience. The food was very good and dessert was the highlight along with the crafted cocktails. The reason for a few 4-stars was we communicated my husband’s shellfish allergy on the reservation then server, server assistant and manager and there was cross contamination. Everyone was very apologetic and we were compensated, but it ended our night early and my husband was up sick all evening. I would encourage you to enjoy this restaurant and their experiences for sure even though we had that opportunity.

   Very cozy environment and not very noisy so you can make conversation at your table. Waiters and waiteresses were friendly. We ordered the seasonal tasting menue paired with wines. Their wine selection was absolutely amazing. Although some of the food items were delicious, there were a few that was very oily for my taste and the fish was very salty.

   The hosts are welcoming and accommodating. The servers are earn 5 Star on attentiveness, promptness, knowledge of food and beverage, and overall team effort. The food is fresh, just the right amount of savory and seasoning. and creative in presentation. Juniper is a rising star and gem in ATX.

   Had the 5 course meal. Most dishes came out a bit too sour or salty, including the salad. It was all well cooked but the flavor profiles were off. The chocolate oat cake was my favorite by far. Kudos to the pastry chef. Additionally, I marked this occasion as a birthday when I made the reservation but nothing special was done or even mentioned during the entire meal.

    The four of us did the full tasting menu. Great ambiance and presentation. The food portions were very small for the price and all four of us were still hungry at the end. But the quality of food was great! Next time we will order individual entrees.

    My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. Our waitress was perfect - attentive and fun. I was a little disappointed with the crudo and my addition of caviar for my antipasto. The caviar was just slopped into the pineapple acid without purpose. The caviar was lost in the crudo.

    Such an incredible experience, the staff was very friendly and went above and beyond expectations. We were celebrating a birthday and we’re delighted to receive a complimentary gift including a menu signed by the kitchen staff. The food took our breath away. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the noise volume is slightly high but we had no problem hearing each other at the table. The pacing between courses was perfect!!!

    This was not my first time at Juniper, but it was for my girl who was celebrating her birthday. I'm happy to say Juniper lived up to my hype in every way and then some. The Prix Fixe menu wowed her with every course. And the staff were very flexible when we realized we missed one question on the menu that setup or selection of something she couldn't have because of dietary restrictions. They swept it up and a suitable replacement was brought out quickly that hit all the right buttons. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Simply could not have asked for a better experience.

    Everyone was so kind and sitting at the bar was the best! I loved to watch the action and at first I was a tad scared to get curious but that quickly went away as everyone was very encouraging and the conversations were wonderful. Sheree our waitress was the sweetest and all her suggestions were solid. The little touch to the menu of adding our 1 year was adorable and we loved it. Donna and Indigo ( I HOPE I got their names right ... we were so busy chatting we loved them too! ) . Anyhoo we had a badass time and we will def be going back . I loved the selections on the menu and every plate shined and took our taste buds on a journey. This is truly a hip and unique experience that I rarely see in the Austin scene. We tend to get caught up in our own worlds and sometimes its refreshing to break the code and interact with new faces and share our own experiences over good food and drinks. Its how I was raised that food brings people together and I felt that last night. Thank you again and you will be seeing us again Allegra & Justin

    I travel a lot for work and this is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The food is fantastic. The dishes are creative. Service is on point & I love the relaxed atmosphere.

    I love when a restaurant over delivers in every way-food, wine, service and hospitality. And looking around the restaurant it seems like everyone else is having a similar experience. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared and presented. The wine list while small presented a great representation of varietals. I would go back again tonight.

    We were greeted by very friendly host and hostess who escorted us to the bar to wait for our table. Bartender suggested the perfect cocktail for me. Table was ready promptly at 8:30 Our server was helpful and attentive and made good recommendations and suggestions. Food arrived in a timely fashion. I ordered the halibut for my second plate and this was a disappointment. The fish was over cooked and had a very grainy texture. Hence the 4 star rating.I should have sent it back but I was having a good time and it didn’t occur to me. And I think the sauce that is served with the potato puffs could have a little more dill weed on it Otherwise the food was quite good. I was given a nice gift box for my birthday - thank you I like the upscale yet very friendly ambiance of Juniper.

    I have been to Juniper before and really enjoyed the food and ambience so I decided to go back and try the fall tasting menu - while we had good service and the wine pairings were fantastic, the food was just okay. Some dishes had good flavor but were slightly off in execution and the dish we were most excited about was so bad we didn't eat it. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my initial experience there.

    It was my husbands 50th, and we didn’t ask for anything special, just told our server when we sat down. They presented my husband his dessert with a candle and gave him a gift of pasta, spices and a little cookie along with the menu with signatures of the staff that evening. Super sweet and unexpected. Well done!
